I have never had a bad experience at Aveda or ever cried about a haircut UNTIL TODAY when I went to this salon. My hair was all one length and down to the middle of my back. I wanted the back shaped into a V and chin length bangs that blended in with the many layers. I needed to be able to pull my hair back into a ponytail. I am left with 3 inch bangs that Ive had to twist and bobby pin to the top of my head. The bangs are not blended at all, they are just a chunk of hair in the middle of my forehead that land right in my eyes. The sides by me ears are about 6 inches longer, there is no blending. And there is no way to fix it because she cut the bags too short. I showed her two pictures of what I wanted and got nowhere near it. I have trusted Aveda stylists for years and now I’m left with an awful mullet for Mother’s Day that cannot be fixed. Not one person has said my hair looks nice. The responses I get are gasps and «Did you try to cut your own bangs?» My husbands response when I got home was, «Woah! Don’t worry it’ll grow back.»

Went in to get mine and my daughters bangs cut. The lady took the pics I showed her and completely botched it. She gave my daughter a bowl cut with her bangs when we asked for long thin straight down bangs and she cut so far back into my hairline that my side burn hair is chopped. My bangs are uneven and hacked. I grew my bangs out only to attempt to cut side bangs and have them completely botched. Not only do I not have side swooped bangs but they are so short and uneven you can’t even find where my bangs start. I can’t pin them back nor can I even swoop them to the side. Very disappointed. I Will never return here again.

I love the color, but I had to go back to get the hair cut corrected. They didn’t honor the check in deal, they said they didn’t set it up with Unilocal.And I was very surprised at how high the price was.

I love Dana! Went in for a haircut and loved it! Such a sweet personality and walks you through with exactly what she’s doing.

After having my daughter do my hair for years, moving from Michigan to Utah and finding a stylist was quite stressful. I found a gem in life Aveda. Christine was wonderful. She listened to my poorly explained style and color request and then nailed it perfectly.
Scalp massage, hot towels, and hand massage are just a couple of the bonuses you receive at no charge. The price may seem too much for some but the service and end result are worth more than a dozen cheaper and less quality services at other salons.
Already made an appt for a 3 week trim and 6 week color touch up. I might have to add a pedicure in the mix sometime soon. You will NOT be disappointed.
Ask for Christine. She has been at this salon for a year and been doing hair for 6 years. Again, you will not be disappointed!

Kellie Brown is the best Esthetician at Aveda Life Salon & Spa. Her facials are amazing. Because of her waxing skills-​my eyebrows are always on point! She also works at the Sundance Resort.

I am visiting here from out of state. I only go to Aveda salons for their amazing products/​hair color, and impeccable service. I did a lot of research before I visited Utah to find the perfect Aveda salon. I was extremely impressed with my experience here. I picked stylist Ashley based on her bio online. I was greeted warmly, and they even were able to squeeze me in for a brow wax (which she did a great job) I have been traveling all summer and my hair had suffered and was stripped of color and was quite damaged. Ashley listened, was truthful, and the end result was perfect. She was able to bring back my beautiful Pure Pigment Purple overlay with a dark brown base, she gave me a deep conditioning treatment that made my hair shine and feel amazing. And my cut was perfect. I was receiving compliments as I was walking out the door. I am bringing back my in laws and my 7 year old daughter next week for a styling for a family picture. Thank you Ashley and front staff!

Worst experience ever, stay away… stay away… stay away, I can’t say it enough! I am in my mid forties, just moved here from out of state and thought hey it was rated 4 stars and an Aveda salon, of course they will do a great job. Boy was I wrong! I HAD long hair when I entered, wanted all over color with highlights and a TRIM and ended up 3.5 hours later with an ok haircolor BUT the worst haircut of my life. They charged me extra by bowl as she cut it after the color and I told her to keep the length and she chopped it all off, I cried all afternoon! I guess the only good thing that came out of it is that at least hair grows back and I won’t need a haircut for a good year! Stay away!

I have been going to Life Salon since 2009. I love everyone there. They are always so sweet and I love that they greet me with a smile and my first name. Aveda products were new to me at the time, but after I left my first appointment, I was amazed my hair felt so soft and silky. I am addicted to AVEDA! I am a mother of 3 with a never ending day. I love the feeling that when I arrive its all about me. I get to stop, relax and get me time. Thank you ladies, I am inspired by what you do!

Fantastic place. The owner cuts my hair and I have been going here every month for three years now (men’s haircut). Highly recommend to anyone.

I’ve used Aveda products for over a decade so I may be slightly biased.
Jenny did such a perfect job with my cut that I plan on scheduling an appointment with her whenever I am in town! Plus the receptionists up front are always welcoming, in a non-​fake sort of way.

I absolutely love going to Life Salon. I’m always greeted with a friendly smile, and the atmosphere is relaxing, calm and clean. I’ve seen two different stylists there, and both of them colored my hair exactly how I wanted it, and I always leave very happy! Price is very fair, too. I love their stylist Katie J. She’s wonderful!

I have visited one other Aveda salon and the Life Salon and Spa totally met my expectations. For the price of a haircut I received a short aromatherapy head massage, a wash, and the most delicious tea I have ever tasted. My hair cut was exactly what I asked for and the stylists are so very nice. When you get your hair colored you get a hand massage while you are waiting for the color to finish. So fantastic!
I love Aveda products and I will go back for another cut and color.
I have never been to the spa at this location, but I would definitely give it a shot.

Well, I love Aveda salons and typically will try find a salon that used their product. I got the mini spa package that came with a facial (AIGHT!), deep tissue massage (which was pretty good) and a foot treatment (WEAK!!!).
Because the spa is next to the salon, even in the room with the «spa music» you could hear all the music and talking from the salon. It made it impossible to relax.
Both ladies who worked on my were did a nice job but overall, I want to relax and for what I am paying, I wanna relax.
Not sure if I would try them again.

The first time I went there I had my bangs trimmed so crookedly that I almost cried. I went back in and the manager of the salon fixed them for me. She was wonderful, and gave me the best haircuts of my life. She has now left and the person she turned her clients over is the one who originally cut my hair crooked. I just went in and asked for a trim. .. she cut off SIX INCHES of my hair, and then razored uneven layers into it. My bangs are crooked, and so short on one side that I don’t see how it can be fixed until they grow out. There was a piece hanging down longer than the rest of my hair that hadn’t been cut at all! I called and talked to the manager, Olivia (actually, I called and was told she would call me right back, a week and a half later I called and DEMANDED that she talk to me). She told me I should have called sooner (ignoring my explanations that I tried) refused to give me a refund, but promised me the huge treat that if I could come in on the ONE DAY next week that she isn’t totally booked, she herself would cut my hair. Any time after next week, I will have to pay to have it fixed. Never. Going. There. Again.

Great stylists and service. I think this is such a cool place. The spa service is excellent too!

Today I had an amazing experience at Life Salon and spa! I had one of the best brazilian waxing EVER! If your looking for a place to go to get a GREAT wax go to LIFE SALON AND SPA and ask for Kirsten. She is amazing! Very educated! LOVE HER! Will return and so will all my friends!

I like that there is an Aveda salon in South Jordan, but sometimes proximity isn’t enough to make something rock… and this doesn’t quite rock. The one haircut I received here was fine — plain & simple, but fine, the other was a bit of an ordeal (I had another hairdresser ask if I’d had it done on purpose). The 30 minute massage was pretty good, as was the express facial — so why only 2 stars? I have been waxed here several times and ALWAYS break out — I don’t break out when I go elsewhere. And although the staff is very friendly and polite, I’ve not had a clean manicure yet — I’m forever cleaning up my cuticles and the sides of my fingers (my pedicure was much better and lasted a long time — the manicure lasted only 2 days). If I’m stuck, I’ll go back — if I can plan ahead, I’ll be downtown.
