Elgin sheet metal saved us from a different company who said we needed a new unit. They came out and fixed ours and it is still going 3 years later. Customer service is great. My whole family uses them. Thanks you!

We were extremely satisfied with Pat in selling us our Carrier Infinity furnace and air conditioning unit. However, that’s where our good feelings ended. After installation it was loud, so loud that we had to turn up the television volume when the air conditioning turned on. Several service calls later a metal piece was installed to deflect the air noise. Several months later another service tech removed that piece. After our first fall service we left for the winter, confident in our new furnace and especially after just having had it just checked by ESM. Upon returning home in the spring, we tried to turn up the heat only to have it warm up and kick off. ESM promptly came to our home, found cottonwood fluff in the vent, and discovered over 150 stops during the winter! Our pipes could have frozen! Not only was I unbelievably angry, but ESM followed up by sending a bill for $ 120! The tech told me the cottonwood fluff couldn’t have been there at fall check up or they would have discovered it. Cottonwood fluffs in June. It had to be there. He then said they hadn’t checked for it, but now had it written on our account to check. How ridiculous! The vent should be checked as part of the service call, plus anyone coming to our home knows our property is wooded. The trees weren’t hiding when the furnace/AC were installed! We have now decided to sell our home so I called to have ESM rectify the unsightly water marks where some dripping had occurred on our new furnace, as well as fix the duct work they had installed under the family room that makes the floor squeak. I spoke to a gentleman who said he would check on it and get back to me. My call was never returned. I have since hired another company to check my furnace this fall and fix ESM’s mistakes. They were very very professional, unlike the service I received from ESM. ESM = big money for little satisfaction. Don’t waste your time or money!
