Clean and organized store with a convenient location, fresh produce, nice meats, vegan options, not-just-your-average beers and wines, and to top it all off, great service! What more could you want in a downtown market? I love this place! Try their fresh juices! You won’t regret it!

Great downtown market. Food is always fresh. Prices are comparable to a nearby chain in York, but the food here is much better, location more convenient. They do a great job training their staff in customer service. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, helpful and always within sight. They’ve taken the«old school» mentality of a small town market, where they know you and what you usually are looking for, and balanced it with modern selection.

ALWAYSCHECKEXPIRATIONDATES in this store. Over three years of shopping here I have had to return 4 packs of chicken I purchased. This makes me feel distrustful of the safety of the food here. Each time I returned the spoiled chicken, I was graciously reimbursed or offered a fresh replacement. I was also told that it would«Never happen again». This time, the spoiled chicken was sold to me with an expiration date that was 4 days in advance– so we thought it was safe… until we cooked and tasted it. Mislabeled perhaps. A little too close to salmonella city for my comfort. In all fairness, I will say that the service is still excellent and that’s what the 2 stars are for. Although we appreciated the apologies and subsequent offer of a gift card, we didn’t take it. We don’t want free food, just SAFE food. If we go back, it will probably just be for non-perishables.

Great little shop in the heart of South Berwick, Maine. Has freshest breads, veggies and fruits, meats, and meat counter. Lots of specialty beers, and wine — check out back in the wine room — you’ll be thrilled. Staff is friendly and helpful when you need to ask a question or two. They have wine tastings on a regular basis.

Terrific selection of unique beers; I’ve found some(new to me) brews that I’ve really loved that I haven’t been able to find elsewhere locally. My only quibble is I wish there was a bit more of a variety in terms of ready-to-go meals, but overall, a good selection, helpful staff and a regular grocery shopping stop for me.

Of course it’s pricey but it’s a great place to get whatever you need, from fresh meats, salad stuff, sweets! Baked right there btw! Friday nights you can talk to the guys in the wine/beer area and they’ll help you pick just the right drink. Always friendly and helpful when needed.

South Berwick is not the biggest, most happening town. That is why I was happy to find Nature’s Way Market in the small downtown area. This business is about 3 or 4 years old and is a great addition to the neighborhood. Not the most impressive natural grocery store I’ve been to, but they have the basics. A nice, organic produce section. Some prepared foods such as salads, quesadillas, and sushi. Some organic snack food and frozen food items. I was particularly impressed by the wine and beer section as they carry some great craft beers that you won’t find at the nearby Cumberland Farms. The prices are steep and are about what I paid last year in NYC. But I suppose to bring those products to a small town is expensive. I plan on doing a lot of my grocery shopping here this summer despite the prices though.
