Visited California for the first time last week and had the pleasure to stroll upon Pandora’s Box ! The owner is the sweetest man and so is his dog munchkin ! He was so friendly and the atmosphere was serene. Bought the cutest hand crafted bowl ! Finding this store was the best part of my trip ! A must visit when in Sonoma County, CA.

Perfect experience! A group of friends strolling around town, we ended up in Pandora’s Box. A wonderful surprise. The owner has somehow taken this small store front, stocked it to the roof with amazing tableware, jewelry, lamps and textiles, and created a museum of fine art, one where you feel comfortable touching every item. We walked in the store because a beautiful lamp caught my friend’s eye, but soon I was the one swooning over the handmade embroidery. I selected a large piece that could work as a tablecloth or bed spread, but I am choosing to hang it on the wall in my bedroom. The owner of the store is SONICE. He willingly pulled out numerous works and spread them out so I could examine and appreciate the details of colors and workmanship. My friend had some specific questions regarding the size of the lamp, how it could be personalized, etc. The owner encouraged her to take pictures so she could share with her husband and make their decision. Everything is imported from Turkey. As a side note, I have a friend at home who does the same thing, but Pandora’s Box takes it to the next level: The owner has selected the best of the best for his store. The prices are, to me, affordable. I would encourage anyone in the area to stop by, you will be glad you did.

Super friendly Owners. We went on a cruise last year and stopped in Istanbul and Ephesus/kusadasi and this cute store reminded us of our fond memories of Turkey. If you go to Sonoma do stop by. They have hand crafted and hand made Turkish art, lamps, plates, pillowcases and many more. Will come back for a visit whenever I come to Sonoma!

Having lived in Sonoma for almost 4 years, I only just discovered Pandora’s Box located east of the Plaza! O.K. What a beautiful store! And the Proprietor, Tuncay Esener, is an absolute delight. His prices are amazing and the quality of his merchandise is in integrity with those prices. If you live here — go there! If you are visiting here — visit there! Tuncay will treat you well!
Mahri Best and Harry Blum It will be a beautiful Experience!!!

We purchased a few beautiful, hand crafted Turkish plates from Pandora’s Box and were so pleased with the service and experience. The owner is incredibly nice, professional, helpful, and patient as we were choosing from the diverse selection of patterns and colors. The store is filled with pieces of art that are well crafted and unique. Just walking in and seeing the floor to ceiling pieces of lamps, dishes, jewelry, and tapestries was an experience in itself. Breathtaking. And then there is the sweet and adorable shop dog that is super friendly and happy to let you pet him a bit. :) The owner is genuinely interested in helping his customers find the right pieces for them and was willing to lower the prices, too. He took special care to wrap and package our items to ensure they made it home safely with us. We recommend this great shop for anyone interested in seeing something unique and beautiful or if you’re looking for a nice gift for someone. Definitely stop in this great store!

We were in Sonoma visiting some friends of ours and walked around the square not looking for anything the buy. The bowls at Pandora’s Box just struck our eye though so we had to check them out. Everything here was gorgeous and hand made. We ended up with a great looking bowl and could have spent a lot more money as well. The owner was really friendly too.

I can’t emphasize enough how awesome this Turkish shop is. It has a great selection of items to spice up your house or workspace. I had an excellent experience with a person who I believe is the owner of the place. He went out of his way to make sure I got the lamp I wanted(a mosaic glass table lamp). It was definitely worth the drive out to Sonoma from Davis to shop here.

Beautiful little shop right on the main square in the city of Sonoma. Super intricate plates mostly from Turkey are like nothing we had seen before – very colorful, unique, detailed designs that I think are just for show(they’re way too nice to put sloppy food on them). We ended up purchasing a very pretty platter from India. Very friendly store owner, and prices across a wide range. Worth a peek if for no other reason than to expose yourself to artwork you just don’t see elsewhere.

I have had the pleasure of visiting the store in Martinez as well as another in Sonoma. On both occasions I have had the pleasure of speaking with owner of the store about the many beautiful items brought over from Turkey. Lovely hand painted plates and bowls adorn the walls while handmade rugs cover the floor and jewelery cases with trinkets of all kind line the perimeter. I purchased a plate from the store in Sonoma and before I could even get it home it was dropped and chipped. I visited the store in Martinez to ask if they may know where I could have it fixed and the owner graciously took the plate back and let me choose another. I also purchased a lavish backgammon board with inlaid wood as gift as well as an exquisite copper coffee pot for making Turkish coffee… or just as decoration. Unfortunately the Martinez store is closing but I will still be able to find everything in Sonoma.

Stopped in here after having breakfast last Saturday. Very cute store. The owner brings his puppy, a super cute and friendly little one! Most of the items were very nice but didn’t appeal to me. What really got my attention was the collection of rings imported from Turkey. They are beautiful! A bit on the pricey side(most were $ 50-$ 80) but the owner was willing to lower prices for a friendly customer. I didn’t make a purchase but I am still thinking about one of their contemporary designed rings… I will most likely go back for it. Maybe even tonight!
