This is my neighborhood market. And I’m here at least once, if not twice, a day. They have the best prices in town, bar none, and incredible staff. They are helpful and polite and the quality of the produce has surpassed any other store in town. Do you sense a but coming on here? Well… Today I had a teensy weensy disappointment: I went in thinking I would get a post — Thanksgiving turkey deal because both my friend and I were traveling and got no Thanksgiving meal. :(… So I said I would do one, with all the fixin’s and it will be cheaper anyway. But the young butcher informed me that they didn’t lower their prices«because they were frozen anyway»(don’t you want to have turnover in your freezer during the holidays?) and«discounts were only for fresh turkeys». «Do you have any fresh turkeys?» I asked. «No ma’am.» And there was A VERYLARGEONE sitting right there that I had looked at before, but it was free range and at $ 48 + it was most certainly NOT discounted. I’m miffed and came back home and will search elsewhere in town… Lucky, you let me down… AND while we’re at it, where are the organic sweet potatoes you promised me a month or so ago?

A dinosaur of a market with atrocious service and lousy produce. The prices aren’t even that great. I don’t get how it’s still in business in Sonoma.

Luckys prices are superior to any other grocery place in Sonoma. The staff is courteous and the store is always well kept. Very clean and organized. Always go to Oscar when you check out, he’s always very nice and polite!

Friendly staff, prices better than most other grocery stores in town. Selection is not as large as other places, but its still my main stop.

This is a good Lucky Supermarket. Staff is helpful and friendly. And, they have a good selection of produce, poultry and meat. As far as I can see, Lucky has the same amount of selection and value as the busy Safeway on the East side of town.

surprised to see a Lucky’s in Sonoma. place looked larger, cleaner, and better staffed than any luckys i’ve ever seen in oaktown. no shoppers were in here though. no one in line. grabbed a couple bottles purified water since it was cheaper than in oaktown(.89) +crv. did self-checkout…

I grew up going to Lucky’s Supermarket. When they were bought by Alberstons it was OK, but I am sure glad to have them back. There is just something about the people that work there, they are friendly and helpful, they are always smiling. I can be in there for 10 minutes and I will be asked at least 3 times if I need any help finding something. Not pushy, just helpful. They have good sales on produce and chicken seems to always be on sale; legs and thighs in bulk. They have a nice selection of fish and meats that always look and taste fresh. The self check out is easy and there is someone always there to help if you get stuck. They have a pretty good cheese section for a big grocery store as well. Good fresh baked goods too. Two things I wanted that they did not have: Lillet Blanc(a before dinner drink or Apéritif and Biolage hair gel, I asked them to order it for me and now they carry it. That’s pretty good customer service.
