This place is amazing! Superb food quality, friendly service, and nice cozy atmosphere. They have many delicious options for vegetarians: I especially enjoy their pad thai, vermicelli noodles, drunken noodles, and spicy eggplant dishes. The pricing is very reasonable. My boyfriend and I go here for at least one meal every 2 – 3 weeks.

I tried to go today and the restaurant was closed. I checked into the pie shop next door and was told they’d been closed for some time(about 2 months). No idea if this is temporary or not.

We found this food to be fine, but too expensive for what we ended up getting.

Awesome Vietnamese food at a good price. Ever since I visited Vietnam, I’ve been trying to find restaurants in Boston that can somewhat satiate my crave for authentic dishes. Came here on a Friday night and was immediately seated. We ordered the seafood salad, Tom Yum seafood noodle soup(yes, I know some would consider this more Thai than Vietnamese, but whatever), and another seafood noodle soup with extra vegetables. Everything was delicious. The seafood salad offered a nice portion of fresh shrimp, mussels, and octopus, and the dressing was a fantastic light and tangy vinaigrette. Next time I may order two portions of this and call it dinner… Both noodle soups were great, but the Tom Yum one won for having the best best broth. Super flavorful, full of spices, and a great balance between sweet and sour. Both also had decent portions of seafood, which can be hard to find. Service was good, and they seemed to be doing a good take-out business in addition to serving the seated tables. Will be back.

Fantastic Tai Phở, flavorful broth and all the toppings you would want! Have eaten in the restaurant and ordered delivery and both are great consistent quality. Easy street parking is a plus too. Will for sure be a continued happy customer.

I tried this place twice. Once for dinner where I got some phở and once for lunch where I got the drunken chicken(chicken with flat noodles) lunch special. The place isn’t bad and hits the spot. Particularly with it’s phở which is great, moreover the service and the venue is good. However I was not impressed by the lunch special. The chicken was cooked a bit tough but the noodles and sauce were good. It came with some seaweed soup which was pretty nasty. it basically tasted like seaweed thrown in with a few grass noodles water and a pinch of salt. The wet seaweed smell was what overwhelmed the flavor. All in all, I would say it’s an ok place to check out if you live in the area, esp if you’re craving phở, but there are definitely several other better options nearby.

Since I moved to Boston a few years ago, I’ve whined a bit too much about the lack of good Thai. Most places are bad Chinese dressed up in Thai fixings. That said, this is the best Thai I’ve had since moving and I’m really pleased. Perfect noodle dish, ideal rolls. I’m not certain it’d be a five star review in my home town, but in Boston, it’s the best of the batch.

Phở was delish, as was the fried gyoza & chicken satay… phở tai has tripe and rare steak. The portions are outrageously big. Service was top notch and very friendly and the bill was $ 23 for 2 large apps and enough phở for 3 people. Will be back soon.

Good service: patient, helpful, and friendly. Food was good. The phở broth was a bit salty at first but still good flavor, comforting, and fast. Their ice coffee is good. Strong flavor. A bit on the sweet side for me but I still like it. Their bubble tea is pretty good as well(mango and coconut both pretty good, green tea wasn’t as good as the others).

2 years later, my boyfriend and I revisited this cute little Thai/Vietnamese place while visiting friends in the area, and we still love it. I ordered the medium bowl of the phở dac biet and he got the spicy pork rib. Both were fresh, well-made, and delicious. My phở wasn’t the best bowl of phở I’ve ever had, but it hit all the right notes, and the medium bowl was more than enough food to leave me stuffed and satisfied. It’s also possible that my phở was just overshadowed by the seriously tasty spicy pork rib. Once I had a taste of that, I had some serious dish envy and was kicking myself for not ordering that. Picture a tender pork chop, gently fried and coated in an addicting sweet and spicy sauce. Now double that and pile it on a generous mound of rice, and you have the awesomeness that is that dish. I’m drooling just thinking about it. :P Same as last time: The service was great, restaurant clean, and prices super reasonable for the amount of food given. If you’re in Somerville, definitely try this place out!

I got a chance to try this place with my wife and sister in law who was visiting. We ordered the phở, a coconut soup and I ordered a spicy pad thai with crispy chicken. My dish was pretty good, I’d try their other noodles dishes. But my wife didn’t like her phở, it lacked the flavor she was expecting. Same for my sister in law, she didn’t enjoy her meal at all.

Amazing service and good Thai food and decent phở. Hubby and I typically share a noodle and a rice dish and a Thai iced tea — our new go-to place when we work too late to make dinner. Decent portions and affordable. Tried a bunch of dishes and other than the tom yum soup noodle, which was a tad underwhelming, we’ve really enjoyed everything else(spicy basil pad Thai, phos, and they also have good daily specials).

Take the best Thai restaurant you’ve ever eaten at, and the best Vietnamese restaurant you’ve ever eaten at, and pick your favorite entrees from each one, combine them together and viola, you have this place. The food is wonderful with all sorts of exotic options. You must try the spicy beef salad. OMG. And the Phở may be the best ever; please don’t tell my favs back home I said that. Anyway, thank you Phở n’Rice for making a meal into a memorable experience while away from home for my son & me.

Oh sweet Phở. Cure for colds, hangovers, bad days… However, sadly since leaving New Orleans I have not had a single bowl. Until now. I remember Phở ‘n Rice from back in college when I first tried their Duck Noodle Soup, and I feel in love. Fast forward a few years, I am back in the area with a mean cold, and figuring why not try to recapture that first time? Totally worth it. Phở ‘n Rice is in an unassuming spot next to a Star market, but man is it busy. Walking in at 8PM on a Friday all the seats in the house were taken, and the front desk was packed with take out bags. Busy is always a good sign. They told us a 10 minute wait. No problem. Once seated we ordered quickly despite the huge menu. Food came out efficiently, and I was not disappointed with my Phở. It was flavorful and delicious. Also, the bill at the end of the night was very reasonable. Will definitely be back.

Had the most intense craving for phở over the last few weeks. I work in Cambridge and didn’t want to trek into Chinatown/Back Bay for my fix, so I came to Unilocal and found Phở N Rice… SO glad I did!!! Walked in around 12:30 somewhat expecting a wait, but able to get a table right away. I ordered the Phở Tai(rare beef, large) and my friend had the Mi Hoanh Thanh(pork, with shrimp dumplings, only comes in large). They were absolutely fantastic! My phở tai was so big with plenty of noodles and beef, along with all the usual toppings. I picked out the cilantro(ew), added basil, bean sprouts and lime as well as hoisin and sriracha. The only other thing I would’ve loved was some sliced jalapeños. Service wasn’t amazing but we didn’t require too much attention! We’ve already talked about our next visit!!!

I tried the Bun Bo Hue here which did not have the typical flavor. The noodles that came with it were also not the typical noodles. They used the same noodles that comes with phở. The pieces of beef were cooked well though! I still finished my bowl, it just wasn’t the best Bun Bo Hue… or it just didn’t taste like Bun Bo Hue. This place is called Phở ‘n Rice after all, maybe I should have gone with the Phở! The prices were higher than typical phở places as well.

I love phở. My first experience hailed during grad school when I was stressed and run down from a mountain of homework and needed something comforting to make me feel better. Before yesterday I have only eaten phở in San Francisco at a place near my dorm. I ordered some last night because I was feeling run down from the holidays and needed a boost. It was really good. The broth was nice and hot, the veggies(carrots, onions, mushrooms, cucumbers, and broccoli) and noodles that accompanied it were out of this world. Everything had so many flavors. I ordered the veggie and a chicken phở for my mom. The only somewhat downside with the veggie phở is that it comes in chicken stock broth. So it’s not 100% vegetarian. A medium, was quite large and was plenty. I imagine that a large would last for 2 – 3 meals, depending on how much a person eats. Overall very good phở.

30 $ tres persones. Aneu-hi aviat, a les 22:00 tanquen.
