75 West Salon

I recently moved to Somerville and was looking for a new salon. Usually I just take appointments with whoever’s available that day, but ever since I’ve had Lauren at 75 West Salon I will continue to go back to her. I’ve been in for a cut & color 3 times now and can say she’s done more than an amazing job. Lauren had both my cut & color on point and goes above and beyond to make me love my hair. Thanks Lauren!

I came in with a hot mess of long hair with roots that made me look like a two-​toned minivan. Then Patricia whipped up some magic in a bowl, did some Bibbidi-​Bobbidi-​Boo with her scissors and I ended up with an amazing cut, layers for days and a blonde that is ready for summer! Thank you x3!!!

Brian is an absolutely awesome barber. The salon itself is beautiful. Service is outstanding and you get a good haircut, for a fair price, in a place you feel good about being at. Will go here as long as I live in the Somerville area. Highly recommend this salon you will not be dissappointed.

This is by far one of the best salons that I have been to. I have tried many other salons in Somerville, but I keep going back to this place because they have a friendly atmosphere with good music and you enjoy your salon experience here. Plus, the prices are decent compared to other salons. The staff is friendly so you do enjoy your conversations with them and if you have any questions they about certain products, they will have some answer for you.
I have only gotten an haircut and blowdrys, no coloring.

My sister referred me to Brian to get my sons haircut, I was not disappointed at all!!! Brian is the best and takes his time and pride in what he does. He will be out barber from now on!!!

Had Trish a few months ago and I will definitely being going back. Loved my haircut and she fixed a lot of problems I’ve had with other cuts. Great atmosphere, great staff, great salon. They know exactly what to do with any type of hair. I highly recommend it!!!

Haircut — 5 stars. Color and customer service — barely 2. On the first «emergency visit» (while my regular stylist at another salon was out) I was impressed by haircut work and went back for color. Ruined my hair!!! A simple highlights job turned awful! I warned the hair stylist that my hair takes color quickly. She left me to «bake» for too long — the hair off my temples is horribly bleached out and looks as a horrible job by an amateur novice. I didn’t notice it at first as my hair was styled to cover up the disaster. I discovered it when got home and looked closely in the mirror. Just awful! I called the salon and left a message about needing color correction. 4 days later no one called back. Just as well. I am not going back to 75 West. Would caution clients to be careful and vigilant when getting color done there. I am quite disappointed in the service at 75 west too — they seemed so up-​to-​date and promising at first! But nah! Just another provincial wannabe salon :-/

Really nice place, usually I get my haircut in Hillsborough, but my I decided to tag along with my friend who SWEARS by it. I had Brian, and let me just say, I was amazed at what he could do with my hair, even at its short length. Everyone was very friendly and professional and I’m going back here for all my future haircuts! I was very happy with my experience here.

Today was my first time at 75 West and I couldn’t have had a better experience. I’m always nervous about trying a new salon, but went off of the recommendation of the reviews I saw here — which turned out to be totally accurate. Sue helped me from start to finish (no hair washers). She took the time to help me figure out exactly what I wanted and spent an hour cutting and blow drying. Great attention to detail and the best cut I’ve had in years! The salon is clean and everyone is friendly. Not to mention the reasonable prices — $ 45 for a cut and blow dry. I will definitely be back!

Wonderful and talented team of stylists! I go to Katie for my cut and color and she’s very friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. Patricia did my wedding updo and it was gorgeous! She’s also friendly, professional and skilled, really a true artist. I love that the stylists are up to date on the latest hair trends so you’ll never leave the salon looking like you stepped out of a different decade.

Alright guys, Brian is awesome and the only reservation I have to posting this is that there may be a lot more people with awesome haircuts around Somerville. Everyone in the shop is super nice and professional. My son gets bummed when I need to go see Brian to get cleaned up and it’s too soon for his next cut. This is an easy one to share…

When I moved back to NJ after college I initially despaired that I would never be able to find a good spot to get my hair cut. After misses at a few other local places I found 75 West Salon. My wife and I have both been going there for a few years now and they are the best haircut in the area. Jenny is great, especially for ladies with short hair!

Beautiful salon and staff. All trained on the latest trends. They now carry their own line of products which are great!

Brian is an amazing barber. I’m so glad I found this place. He gave me the exact cut I wanted and I will definitely be a return customer.

Continues to be the best spot for a wash, cut and blowdry. I do not get too much else done to my hair with chemicals and things but for me, this is the coolest, trendiest thing that hit downtown Somerville in a LONG time. As a female business owner AND a Mom, I give Patricia all the props in the world. Keep up the good work!!!

I had to get corrective coloring at another salon after going here. My hair turned an unsightly shade of pinkish red after Patricia applied a toner. I wholeheartedly believe she grabbed the wrong bottle. She claims my hair took a «bizarre detour», something that’s never happened to me before. She attempted to fix the error by re-​highlighting, unfortunately it still looked terrible and now fried. While I appreciate her attempt to correct her mistake, a liitle focus on the job would have prevented this from happening in the first place.
