DISGUSTING! Spent about 20 bucks and 90 percent of the food went into the trash. Burnt clam cakes … doughy no flavor… The most disgusting fried food I’ve ever had. Actually two other places in town… both much better quality. I can’t even say enough bad stuff about this place but it should be closed! And this was the second time figuring the first time was just an off day for them!

First of all, the name of a rip-​off of the seafood restaurant that WAS in Somerset, Captain PJ’s. The new place isn’t related. Second, the prices are RIDICULOUS! This isn’t Boston, it is the southcoast, and when wholesale lobster is $ 2.99/lb, there is NO reason for a ¼ lb lobster roll to be $ 15! Finally, last but certainly not least, the owner does not stand behind his word. I purchased a gift certificate for $ 15, and he refused to honor it! I met all of the restrictions in hte fine print, and he still refused to honor the gift certificate. Because he said I had to spend another $ 2. On a $ 20+ order. AND he was a jerk about it. As far as I am concerned, he can keep his overpriced lobster roll, I’m going to go up the road to a REAL seafood joint!

I ordered clam cakes here a few weeks back, they had barely any clams in them and were too doughy. They were awful. I won’t go back.

New owners and new name, Captain C.J.‘s at same location. They are a small takeout-​only seafood restaurant with a small fresh seafood counter. Takeout fish and chips has large portion, fresh, and tasty. After ordering, they pick some fresh fish from the seafood cooler and fry it up in 5 – 7 minutes right behind the counter. They seem to be the only place left in the Fall River area that serves up huge and tasty fish and chip orders of the type you used to be able to get 20 years ago at almost any local seafood place. Haven’t tried one, but they also offer ready to cook clamboils.

Great chowda and cakes, prices are good as are the portions.
