First time here and found it to be very good. We had great service at the bar but I could see people not liking the 18% gratuity automatically added on. The location is odd, it would be much nicer out of a shopping plaza and on a main road. Food was good, drinks could be better.

We reserved a room at Real for my mother’s 90th birthday, sent out invitations. About 2 weeks after the invitations were sent, the restaurant informed us that we’d been«bumped» meaning that they decide to let someone else use the room. Someone forgot to teach these people the importance of keeping their promises. Additionally, before we were informed that we were bumped, I stopped in for lunch to taste the food. It was marginal. Definitely would not recommend this restaurant.

WATCHOUT! 18% Gratuity is added on your bill and they don’t even disclose that up-front. I normally don’t mind paying gratuity of 20% but to have it included, without giving me the option plus I was eating by myself and the lady serving me was a little snooty. No thanks, no wonder no one was in there. That should have been a clue!

This poor place. It’s so beautifully designed, but poorly executed. I wanted to give it another chance after seeing their flyers/signs around town. From my last review they did update the happy hour menu with new items. However, I am still crawling out of my skin at the experience I just received. Came in for happy hour, my husband asked if the Ketel Vodka was included in happy hour and the bartender/server said yes and poured and served him the cocktail. We ordered sliders and she came back 2 minutes later, took the drink away from my husband and said Ketel was not included in happy hour. She poured him a well vodka and soda to replace it and dumped his previous drink he was already enjoying. WHAT?! The slider was good, but I couldn’t ask for the check fast enough. Cringe!!! I can’t see this place lasting anymore than 6 – 12 months.

The food was awesome and the staff was great too. Everything was super fresh and delicious. This was our second visit here and enjoyed it just as much. Sad to see the gelato was gone but that’s fine. We will be back for sure.

Really, why the hype? I tried it based on a recommendation. Okay, so it’s a restaurant in a plaza behind the Carl’s Jr. I won’t be returning to $ 25+ per small plate and limited menu. One and done. No more business from me.

So bummed. Just tried this restaurant at the recommendation of our neighbor. Unfortunately, they«revamped» the menu/pricing/etc. Pros: food was yummy, although VERY small portions Cons: pizza arrived before salads and waiter said he thought that was what we wanted. Hmmm? No kids menu, charged us $ 16 for a bowl of plain spaghetti noodles, for real? Salad was $ 9 and didn’t even cover 1⁄3 of the plate. Tip was already included so our mediocre service at best was rewarded an 18 percent gratuity. The entire experience was just weird, it seemed almost as if they could care less if we enjoyed our experience, the manager brought our bill over all rolled up and didn’t bother to even ask how things were. We won’t be back. Ever.(As a side note, I was so disappointed that i actually finally confirmed my Unilocal account and wrote a review!).

Hidden gem for sure. Some new wait staff made my recent visit just«ok.» The Goat Cheese Salad was fantastic. Octopus appetizer was good, but maybe not something I’ll order again. I’ll be back for the ambiance and food for sure.

What a gem of a place! Nestled in the corner of the shopping center, I have been here a million times and never gone wrong with the food or service. The place has a classy feel, but also is a great local place for an end of the day happy hour! Servers are super friendly and attentive, menu a good variety of dishes. Even the brunch here is to die for! Their take on the brunch Croque Madam with basil aioli and focaccia is unique and delicious. I would also highly recommend the braided short rib entrée for dinner! It melts in your mouth! The flavors go so well together and it’s great with the wine they recommended it with it! All in all, they have earned my respect. Will definitely continue to return to this awesome place!

Wow so overpriced! 3 glasses of wine, one salad and one soup and salad for lunch $ 80. Bartender was so, nice but slow. Two people had to ask for their checks. Beet salad was bland and hardly any beets. Creamy chicken noodle soup was mediocre could of come out of a can. Highly disappointed will NOT be back.

This place is amazing. TRYTHEBACONAPPETIZER! It tastes like foie gras! Absolutely amazing. They carry Nolet gin, which I had never had before and was absolutely delicious. I took the steak, which was as good as any I’ve ever had. The hash that came with it was amazing. I came back and did the special chefs night, when he makes a custom menu for your party. We had ravioli where the filling was an egg yolk. Over easy ravioli, can you imagine? Delicious! EVERYTHING we had at this place was a 10! Highly recommended!

My first time here, but what a cool little gem in Solana! We came here because we had to do some nearby shopping, and what a surprise to find a cool neighborhood bar/grill type of place with a great atmosphere and really awesome staff. The bartender in particular(Michael) was super helpful and always managed to keep tabs on our progress through the evening even though he had a whole bar of patrons to tend to. The food was really good too. I had the beet salad, bratwurst, and margarita pizza(hey, I was hungry), and I half expected something would come out too soggy or too greasy or too whatever… but that was not the case. Everything was amazing! I will be back.

I have a love/hate relationship with this establishment. I live close by, otherwise I would not go out of my way to return. I used to go here specifically to get gelato, then they took that away from me! I just went last night with my girlfriend. We had two salads, one pizza, and one glass of wine for $ 54. This wouldn’t be an issue had it not been for the bite-size salad portions… literally ate one salad then ordered another because it was so small. For the prices charged, management needs to ease up on the portion control. Also, they could use more affordable drink options. I was going to get a glass of wine along with my date; however, there was not a glass of red under $ 12. Unless I’m at a fine dining experience, I expect to see an $ 8 glass somewhere on the menu. The food is good overall, but overpriced. The owners seem to forget they share a lot with Carl’s Jr and there is delicious pizza one block away(I won’t name it) for much cheaper! There is potential here, but given the high prices this establishment is a last resort when we are hungry rather than a regular stomping ground. Staff is friendly, just expect to spend some money if you want to fill up here.

I’ve lived in the area for years, my office is in the area, and somehow up until recently I had no idea that this place existed. It’s a bit out of place in a strip mall with Discount Tire and BevMo, but once you get past that it’s pretty good! I ate lunch here with some girlfriends and it wasn’t at all crowded at lunchtime. The menu had tons of options and choices with good flavor combinations for everything from pizza to salads. I had the pear and Gorgonzola pizza which was great, I would order it again. Our waiter was nice but he used either the word«sick» or «sweet» to describe everything, I forget which one but literally he said it like 5 times…“our pizzas are totally sick”…“oh you’ll love that sandwich, it’s sick”… More comical than anything. Good food and good flavor combos with reasonable pricing in a convenient location. I’ll go back!

I received take out from this place a couple days ago and it was okay pizza. If you like thin crust this is the place for you and also fancy ingredients. I ordered a margarita and added two different meats to it and the toppings added up quickly. There is not a variety of pizza’s to choose from either. Maybe like 6 I think. It is a bit more on the pricey side and not your average pizza place. It is a bit more than a casual dining place. I would feel out of place if I came in jeans and a sweater. I am not sure what the staff is like or the service.

My friend and I came here for happy hour and there was a nice big tv at the bar area. We ordered beer and cocktail, crab cakes, fries, and flatbread from the happy hour menu. I was disappointed with the crab cakes as the textures were off and they tasted very mushy instead of having nice chunky crab meats. The fries were fine with the truffle flavor but I wish the size was a bit bigger. The flatbread was fine with the chili and cheese added on top of it. The portions are fairly small for the happy hour menu price so we ended up ordering a pasta dish(lamb sausage pasta). All the pasta was made in house and this was my favorite dish. Overall, I gave a 3 star…

Came here for lunch one afternoon. Such an adorable place! The food was fantastic. The drinks were delicious. I met the bartender and he organically makes his own rum, vodka and whiskey! Had the pleasure of trying some & it was so awesome! I highly recommend it. I also love the fact they buy all of their food(veggies and meat) from local farmers. On top of that, they also make their own cheese. The bartender mentioned this is why the restaurant is called«REAL». Tuesday nights are piano nights with live entertainment. They also sell their own gelato. Will have to come back and try it.

Was so excited to try this place with the great reviews and such. But was disappointed last night when my husband and I showed up for a much needed date night(haven’t been on a date in almost a year). Walking in I was immediately turned off by the two huge tv screens playing UFC/MMA some sort of fighting event. It seems like such a weird combination to have this really eclectic menu and yet have TV’s showing sports, actually TV’s at all We sat at the bar for happy hour there were only a handful of people and yet the service was excessively slow Ordered a mojito which was awful, my husbands drink was good at least At this point I decided I could not stay the TV was so distracting and ruined the whole atmosphere to me, so we decided to ask for our bill and go. This also took a while as the server was very distracted I couldn’t get out of there fast enough
