Absolutely the finest beef and lamb that I have purchased on this continent! The Lau’s raise and sell grass-fed, antibiotic-free, hormone-free cows and lambs for sale by the cut or by whole and half carcasses. Due to the grass feeding, the meat has a rich, distinct flavor that is much different from supermarket meat. The beef is leaner than most, and necessitates a little more cautious cooking, but is worth the effort. For those lucky enough to have travelled to South America, this beef approaches that found in Argentina in terms of flavor, though it can’t match the tenderness of fine Argentine beef. The Lau’s also sell excellent sausages made of beef and lamb, and have started offering wool yarn from their flock. This is a true gem of a family-run business, and is well-worth the small price premium over mass-produced meat products.
