Food was reminiscent of Red Robin, service was decent. We both had burgers. It was a fairly average experience. If we lived on the ridge we miiiiiiight go back but I’m guessing there are restaurants that might make a better impression. Pro’s: good for kids, servers were helpful and accommodating Mac ‘n Jacks on tap, how can you go wrong Paper on the tables with crayons — fun for toddlers(and maybe adults too) Kids menu Con’s: Food was lack luster, not bad just not impressive

We has fish and chips!!! Worth trying out if you picky about fish and chips. It was great! Delicious steak frys. The staff is really nice and our waitress was so easy to get what we wanted. It was obvious she wanted us to feel taken care of.

We decided to give this place another chance, given the place was still open after 2 years of our first visit. Maybe things had changed. Well it has. We were seated immediately when we arrived and the waitress came out and took our order in a reasonable amount of time. The food was good and hot. The waitress did not check with us after serving the food until way too late and it was more of a drive by. She asked how our food was as she walked by, not even stopping to hear the answer. Still a big improvement from the last visit.

Inexperienced waitress, maybe? Seated promptly, but not greeted by server for at least 10 minutes. Restaurant was not busy, not even ¼ full. Drinks came out after food. One drink had to be sent back due to seafood allergy(Bloody Mary) and replacement was not brought out until well after food, at least more minutes. Food was wrong, no cheese on one order, wrong type of egg on another plate. Wasn’t checked on again until after all our meals were done. Took forever to run credit card. Basically, a lot of waiting on a nearly empty restaurant. Food was good. Drinks were good when we finally got them. Service seemed unstaffed and under experienced. Hopefully they are having an off day with the service. I would like to try again sometime and hope for a better experience.

I was very underwhelmed by this place. We stopped in, again we are new to the Snoqualmie area and wanted to check out some local places. Service was decent – it took awhile to get our food ordered and then to finally get the check, but not too horrible. The food was meh. We ordered the Fish and Chips – the batter had good flavor, but they were soggy – no crunch at all. The french fries did save the plate since they were pretty delicious.

We were there with a group of 18, and the service was excellent! The food was great, and everyone had a blast. Where else can you find a Monte Cristo?! Thank you to the owner(Josh Mabel) who really made sure everything was perfect!

We’ve been to Mabel’s many times, and have always had good service and food. We usually go for breakfast, but we have eaten lunch here a couple times as well. The wait staff is always friendly– I do suggest that you do not eat here if you’re in a huge rush, because it does take a little bit for your food to come out. Overall we really like it here!

I really don’t like to leave bad reviews of local businesses, but I feel like I have to if my glowing recommendations are to be trusted.(See the How I Met Your Mother Episode entitled«The Stamp Tramp.») So here I am, belatedly leaving a review for Mabel’s over a year after we dined there. We ate only once, but as far as I’m aware, the restaurant hasn’t undergone any major changes since then. Service was average, no complaints. The food was subpar. My husband’s sandwich was a bit oily and overdone, which meant that the flavor was cooked out of it. I don’t even remember what I had, to be honest, but I do remember I had a bit of a tummy ache afterward. Nothing was seriously wrong with the food, I’m sure… I think it was just a lot of oil compared to what I’m used to. It’s really more of an American/Midwest-style diner than a PNW restaurant, but it has PNW prices. I’m not judging people with diner food tastes(not too much, anyway), but I think the prices should at least be lowered a bit to reflect the simplicity of food. And that’s why we haven’t been back.

A lot of negative reviews here! But I have positive things to say about this neighborhood grill. We come to Mabels at least once a week and enjoy it every time. Family friendly. They have THE best turkey club(triple decker, bacon, avocado, tomato, lettuce, turkey…). It’s my weekly treat to myself :) We usually just stop by for a sandwich and some mozzarella sticks but they have delicious margaritas with a mini corona in them and on Thursdays their bottles of wine are half off. Score! Shelly is usually our server and she is just great! The only negatives I have are the 1. the prices are a bit high and 2. the other, younger girls working there are very very impersonal and not very friendly. They don’t seem to enjoy it. At least fake it… But all in all… I’d say this is our favorite place on the Ridge! Give them a shot.

Stopped by on our way to hike with the kids. Restaurant was mostly empty and staffed by four apathetic teen girls and a bartender who was also our server. After sitting for almost 15 minutes while our server chatted up the teen waitstaff, both adult orders came out wrong and the kids were served Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. In addition our entire meal was eaten to the high volume on the Seahawks game blasting out from the television. Not impressed.

Ordered a Reuben sandwich. I got a slice of fat and could not spot the meat. Disgusting. Kids did not finish their mac and cheese and fries, which speaks to the quality of both of those. Will be hoping a decent restaurant comes into location sometime.

Have had nothing but wonderful experiences here. Granted, we usually go when it’s really slow, and most of the time we’re the only customers in the place. But we’ve been once when it was really busy, and the service was still good. Our waiter is usually Robert & he’s very friendly & attentive. I usually order the chicken salad sandwich on croissant. It’s really good. It has water chestnuts, bacon & apples in it. It’s not as good as it used to be b/c they started putting large apple chunks instead of small ones, but it’s still good. The onion rings are great too. My husband orders something different every time & he’s always happy with it. It is a bit pricey, but it’s worth it for the friendly service. I don’t understand all the complaining about the décor. I understand mentioning it, but removing stars for it is a bit harsh. I think it’s neat that they put up the pictures that people have drawn. Some are quite nice, and it’s something to look at.

My husband and I decided to grab lunch here on a Saturday afternoon after a friend recommended it. Mabel’s offers«a comfortable and relaxed dining experience for you and your family… serving comfortably familiar, delicious food, using the freshest ingredients. When you’re at Mabel’s, you should feel right at home, reminded of all the good things shared when you’re surrounded by friends and family at the table.» Josh and Tawni Mabel moved to Snoqualmie Ridge in 2001 and live there with their three children. They make every effort possible to shop, source, and hire locally. They look to neighboring farms in the valley for fresh ingredients and support responsible agricultural practices including sustainable farming, fishing, and chemical free proteins. Love it! We loved the atmosphere for the second we walked into Mabel’s, with the warm fireplace and festive music playing in the bar. Our server was extremely friendly and accommodating, and I loved the variety of menu selections. The tables are covered in paper so you can draw with crayons while waiting for your food. If you actually have any talent(I don’t) and draw something cool, they save it and post it on the walls around the restaurant. Our server brought out warm, salty potato chips almost as soon as we sat down. My husband ordered the Snoqualmie Smokehouse Burger for $ 12.95 which he loved, and I got the Baja Tacos(beer battered Alaskan cod, crisp cabbage, fresh avocado, & homemade cilantro salsa served in warm flour tortillas with tortilla chips & cole slaw on the side for $ 13.95). They were super yummy but just a little too spicy for me. We finished with peach cobbler at the suggestion of our server… warm, homey and so delicious! This will definitely become a go-to spot for us!

— pancake side was yummy, very little effort put into omelet; boyfriend liked his eggs Benedict but he’s a nice guy — owner/manager was kind — was happy to sit outside; didn’t think much of the décor inside when I walked through to use the restroom — prices were about what you’d expect for a Saturday morning breakfast

With a name like Mable’s you’d think you would be walking into a homey, less cluttered with crap, Cracker Barrel type of restaurant… but instead you walk into a place that doesn’t have much of an identity. There’s a big bar in the back and various sports memorabilia… yet the walls are also covered with people’s crayon drawings… the two just really don’t go together. As you are seated the waitress will bring you a basket of their house made chips… don’t eat them. They taste exactly like cooking oil… not potato, or salt, or any seasonings… but cooking oil. NOT appetizing or even remotely tasty. The menu is uninspired to say the least… basic, generic items, consistent with what you’d see on a diner menu. I noted that a Rueben was featured and being as how that’s one of my standard measuring devices at any new place, I had to try it. I was terribly disappointed. The bread was scorched and inedible. The amount of meat was minimal and it wasn’t particularly tender or juicy. The kraut and dressing were adequate, but nothing to write home about. In fact, the sandwich was pretty much a total disappointment from the get go. I think the fries were ok. Waitstaff was slow and we had to ask several times for refills. Suffice it to say, m I won’t be going back.

Mabel’s is a nice American casual eatery. They have a varied menu that always has something I’m interested in. I’ve tried soups — hot and yummy, sandwiches — fresh & yummy, fish & chips — crispy/yummy/not greasy Not a best-i’ve-ever-had kind’a place, but everything is good, the people are friendly, and it is a most comfortable place to spend a meal.

I’ve been holding off on reviewing Mabel’s because I was really hoping I’d eventually have a good experience. I’ve given the place 3 chances and now I’m done. The first time I went, I was with some friends and we’d had a long day at work. We ordered fish & chips hoping they’d be on the table pretty quickly, but for some reason it took forever. There was only a couple of other people in the restaurant at the time so I can’t imagine what took so long. The server we had, a young woman, don’t recall her name, but she was incredibly rude. If we asked for anything, it seemed we were really putting her out. The fish & chips while pricey, were nothing to write home about. the owner was speaking to everyone in the restaurant welcoming them and thanking them for coming in to check out his new place, but he did it repeatedly at each table. It got to the point of being annoying. The second time I went, we again had the same snotty waitress. My friend ordered something that came with fries which came totally burned. They shouldn’t have been served period. The waitress was busy flirting with a young guy that worked there as well, but she finally saw me trying to flag her down. She came to the table looking very annoyed and when my friend asked if she could get some fries that weren’t so well done, she snatched up the plate and as she was passing the guy to go into the kitchen, she mouthed«What a b! t@h» We ate the once again mediocre, over-priced food and left without leaving a tip. I swore I wasn’t going to go again, but some friends told me things had gotten a lot better. So I gave it one more shot. We had a nice, polite server which was a good sign. The owner again greeted us and was still over the top, but not as bad as the first time. The food was totally underwhelming. I’m giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 because there was at least some progress on the service level, but the food is bland and just doesn’t match the prices. I know it’s really hard for businesses to make it on the Ridge and I try to support them, but you can only give a place so many tries. I just gave this place my last try.

I wrote a negative review of this place over a year ago. About how it was trying to be a fancy restaurant in an area that didn’t need one. The owner commented on my review that I should come back and give it another chance — so I finally did. Gone are the cloth linens. In their place — butcher paper and crayons. I am glad they added this to their décor as you will wait quite awhile for service. My friend and I went in for lunch. Took awhile for us to get our drinks, took even longer for us to get our order in. We probably sat at the table with our menu closed for over 10 minutes. Once we ordered it was another 20 minutes or so before the food came. When the food did finally come — we were both pleasantly surprised at how good it was! My friends salad was a little over-dressed but everything else was really great! The fish tacos were hot and fresh, my friends sandwich was large and cam with a HEAPING pile of the BEST hand-cut French Fries. Oh man — they were REALLY, REALLY good. Good thing my friend was so nice and shared a bunch of hers with me. Anyhow, if you are not in a rush, you should totally try this place. If you want something quick — skip it and come back when you have more time. Order the fries.
