American Leak Detection

Brandon was excellent at his job. Typical story — water bill very high, narrowed leak to between meter and house shutoff valve. It wasn’t a fast leak, so Brandon had to be patient, use forced air — and eventually found the spot of the leak.
We still have to have that fixed… and so I’m 90+ percent happy that I know where the leak is. I’ll be happier when we dig, find it’s truly there, and fix it! Thanks Brandon for your help.

In business since 1991. Company was recommended by my insurance carrier after I filed a claim for water damage. The personnel are very responsive — especially given the leak problem — as well as professional and knowledgeable.
First individual came out and ruled out any plumbing leak issues and was followed by a second individual (who was scheduled through the next 3 weeks) only 2 days later when a schedule change provided the opportunity) and who then spent 2 – 3 hours on the metal roof until he was certain that he identified the two separate leaks causing the problem.

We had a really annoying leak through our upstairs balcony door which ended up causing all sorts of damage. We had to fix it but also wanted to make sure it never happened again. So, we hired American Leak Detection at the direction of our insurance company.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with a leak detection specialist/​engineer but I’m sure glad that we hired one. Doug was very educational, he ran all sorts of tests on the house, door and even helped me figure out next steps. Before starting with a contractor or remediation, I would definitely call a leak detection specialist to determine the root cause. It cost us a little bit more but saved us a ton of trouble finding the right contractor and restoration company!
I hope I never have to use Doug again but if I had a leak, I would definitely hire them again to come out and assess the situation. That is the highest compliment I can give.

I knew we had a water leak when our water bill showed a doubling in usage.
Didn’t know location of leak, nor whether inside or outside.
Worked through HomeOwners Club, who pointed us to American Leak Detection out of North Bend, WA.
Turner came out with Brent the day after I called them, and found the site of the leak in about 90 minutes. They were professional and courteous.
TIP: The leak was located between our house and the water meter, so our homeowners insurance did not cover cost of repair (which was done by a separate plumbing company). HOWEVER, I did learn (to my surprise) that our insurance company would cover the cost of American Leak Detection’s service — even though the leak was found outside. Best of all, American Leak Detection billed the insurance company directly.
