Small café in a small town. I think that pretty much sums it up, but you probably want me to talk about the food, don’t you? Well, it is served by two or three rather attractive young women. Honestly, I wasn’t keeping count. Basically, a small business like this is welcome especially when you have larger corporations holding a monopoly. Java Haus even serves sandwiches, making it kind of like a mini restaurant. It was a hot summer day, and I ordered a whole turkey bacon ranch sandwich and a 12 oz. chocolate milkshake. Both items were made by them after my order and were on point, although they probably gave me more calories than I needed. Then they tossed in a bag of chips to further contribute to my weight gain. Still, with everything else going so well and the prices not being that high, I would call this a satisfactory experience.

The Java Haus has great breakfast sandwiches and the coffee is real good! Nice friendly baristas that are a bit feisty but adds to the fun experience of this cute little western theme coffee shop. They have an exceptional catering that I have experienced, from weddings large business functions, or just a small food to go platters. I would highly recommend them as a catering and a place to get a good sandwich and coffee.

Cute shop with a good menu. My short vanilla latte was great but my husband thought his grande cappuccino was on the weak side — not terrible, just not as good as he’d hoped. We each had a one egg breakfast sandwich with bacon. They’re made to order, which is nice, and while they taste good it’s certainly something I could(and have) made at home. But the morning walk and convenience was worth it to me. The sandwiches are small, so if you are hungry, upgrade to the two-egg or get a side. The prices were fair and the gals working were polite and swift with our order. Really like that this place is open early when much of the rest of town is not.

Coffee and Drinks have always been really good, but where this place shines is the catering. We had them cater our Hawaiian themed wedding and the pulled pork that they made was absolutely fantastic. Staff was great the entire process and was very affordable.

Java Haus recently catered for my wedding of 190 guests and they did an incredible job! Not only is James a nice guy but he is super easy and awesome to work with; he is very responsive to all my calls and emails. While other vendors stressed me out a couple days before my event, he, on the other hand put me at ease because he knew exactly what I wanted. James went above and beyond my expectations on all my requests. I can’t thank him enough for an AMAZING job he’s done at my wedding. I don’t normally write reviews like this(or at all), however I feel that he should be recognized for his wonderful work. I would highly recommend him to cater any event. Lindsey

We just had James cater our daughters wedding and he did an outstanding job! He was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end, always had a smile on his face, loaned us commercial coolers that were needed onsite at no extra charge and the food was great. We served 190 guests, had prime rib and salmon as the main course and had many compliments. James staff was efficient and respectful. I would highly recommend James/Java Haus to cater any event. Incidentally, his coffee and food at the restaurant beat the heck out of Starbucks any day.

We love to pop into Java Haus! The food and coffee are always great; so much more interesting than breakfast at McDonald’s or coffee at Starbucks. I have to take off one star, however, because I agree with Olivia 100% about the baristas(one in particular). I cringe when I see her because I know my service will be with a snarl instead of a smile(I, too, tip well each and every time, regardless of the service). If you can handle the attitude, then you’ll love Java Haus!!!

Recently my wife and I had the owner of Java Haus cater a private dinner party(amazing 5 course dinner). We enjoyed it so much that went to Snohomish and tried their breakfast. 5 star food, 5 star service! We shared a Spanish Sunrise sandwich which was amazing. Can’t wait to go back!

The one good thing about Java Haus is that it’s right between my house and work. In fact, a friend and I have an ongoing joke about how its convenience sometimes lures us back in only to leave us continually disappointed by crappy guest service and mediocre espresso. I’ll admit that I have friends who love this place – the coffee, the baristas, food – so they’re apparently nice to someone, but my experiences regularly include feeling like my business is an interruption to the barista’s day. I feel like I should order saying, «Hey sorry to bug you, do you have time to make me a 12oz latte?» Last time(the last time I’ll go, I swear), when I handed her a $ 4 tip(bribing her to be nice to me next time) on a breakfast sandwich and one latte(was actually a mocha – second time I’d received the wrong drink there), she grabbed it and said, «okay.» Not even thank you. Maybe I’m hyper sensitive because I work in guest service but frankly, from now on I’m going to drive out of my way to go to The Coffee Bean instead, where the baristas know how to make coffee, smile, and have manners.

Coffee is definitely a five but the food is a two-maybe three. Granted I have only had things off of the breakfast menu but everything I have ordered was around eight dollars and something I could have easily made myself at home and probably would have tasted better if I did. Although if you are new to the area like I am I definitely recommend giving it a shot! The coffee is great and the Baristas are very friendly.

Good coffee, simple tasty breakfast options. Breakfast sandwiches are good, biscuits and gravy are good. And they also serve their lunch menu early in the morning which is nice for night shifters such as us. The girls behind the counter are always very friendly and working hard every time I am in there.

Chef James catered me and my wife’s wedding this past weekend at Swans Trail Farm in Snohomish. There is no other way to put it than to say that the job done by James and his crew was perfect. Leading up to the wedding James was extremely easy to work with and communicating with him was a breeze. James put together a menu for the 100 guests we had attending that was wonderful and more than reasonably priced. On the wedding day James and his crew’s performance was seamless. They were on time, professional and came through with precisely what was promised to us. Our menu consisted of BBQ chicken, pulled pork sliders, cole slaw, baked beans, fruit salad, cornbread muffins with honey butter and James even added in a baked potato bar which was an excellent idea. James also provided huge ice cold serving jugs of water, iced tea and strawberry lemonade. All of the food provided was excellent and positive feedback was received from plenty of guests. James and his crew also cleaned up and packed away everything before they left leaving us with nothing to worry about. I would give my highest recommendations to James when it comes to catering. He is a consummate professional with extensive experience in the restaurant industry and will go the extra mile to make your day perfect. We have also eaten breakfast at the Java Haus coffee shop while meeting with James to discuss catering and we love the food there as well.

For a small group or a large reception of 200+ Java Haus Catering is the best around. Our daughter was recently married and James did the catering for around 200 guests. Everything went like clockwork. James and his staff handled every detail in a very professional manner. James also did the catering for the rehearsal dinner and it was wonderful too. Great food, great staff and great prices. What more could you ask for?

Great find… this is a neat little place. Love the barn and western theme, not over done. Just down home comfortable. Great service, good coffee, locals hanging out. I hear the sandwiches are great so I’ll have to come back.

So I am only reviewing based on one experience that did not include coffee. The coffee did smell good but the food smelled better as I had skipped breakfast this morning as I was in a hurry and was hungry at this point. As I was leaving the hardware store I smelled something good in the air and my sniffer lead me in to this place. I first asked if the biscuits and gravy are from scratch or can, which anybody who has read my reviews would know that I usually ask that when it comes to that dish. She was honest and told me it was from the can. So, I ordered the hot pastrami sammy. She came out and told me that the bread got burnt so they needed to make me a new one. I appreciated the honesty once again. It was unique in that it was made with garlic bread, but not unique in a bad way. The pastrami was slightly tough but I’ve had much worse. I would order something else next time probably but it was a good sandwich by all means. One other thing is that the water dispenser they have produced room temp water… that was one other small down side but next time I could always order a soda. The fact that I plan to go back and at least give it one more shot should say something. The décor is kind of interesting as well.

I’m a coffee guy, and have been here often. Every time I give it a second(third fourth fifth) try I am reminded why I don’t go back. the coffee is not bad but they don’t know how to pull a shot and just today I had grounds in my mocha. now it’s rare to get grounds in your coffee from a shot. I want to rate these guys higher but I am not a big fan. Now remember. this two star rating it just for the coffee. they do have good soup and it’s a nice little spot to meet up with someone for a quick visit. they do have a small area for seating.

I’m gonna start a blog or something about all these drive-through coffee places. I never used to go to them but now it seems like I’ll end up trying them all. Wait… maybe I’ll just post reviews on Unilocal. The Java Haus is a pretty formidable operation. Big red barn structure, and they have one of those bell hoses like service stations used to – you hear that ding when you pull in. Usually two baristas on, usually getting on each other’s nerves a little. Coffee’s great, prices are reasonable, service is fast. What more do you want? You want nothing more. You want your coffee. You want to get going. You have your coffee. So get a move on!
