I love to rummage, and if you are a bargain hunter or retail-hunter/huntress this place is fun. We all get it –Maxway is known to be cheap… but their inventory is ever changing due to its nature, which, to me, makes it fun! Full of tackle supplies, tons of cute beach cover-ups. Complete home cleaning section, bottles of regular scent Febreeze for $ 1.00! I have also found(while rummaging) a $ 2.50 umbrella amongst the $ 10 ones, bed bath and beyond brand micro-dry mats for only $ 5, cute soaps and body sprays, cheap snacks, magnets, seashell knick-knacks, postcards, topsail mugs, shell necklaces, lamps, decorative pillows. I could go on!

Good stuff cheap! Bought a lot of snacks and misc. stuff and walked out paying next to nothing. The staff was friendly and actually walked me to an item I was looking for instead of pointing to it. No screaming kids and fussing parents. Will definatly stop again on our next beach trip.

This is a crap shoot overall, but if you are in need of those foil baking tins this is where you should go. Generally they are $ 1.00 versus $ 5.00-$ 8.00 at Food Lion. They also come with foil lids. Great if you bake and give stuff away… or if you send baked goods to work with your husband and know that your pan will never get returned to you. Besides that there is a lot of crap… and more crap.

This is one of our must do’s when we visit my family in Sneadsferry, NC. It reminds me of a discount store in NYC like«GEM.» They have a little bit of this and little bit of that. We got some cute throw blankets for $ 2.50 and we lucked out because it was Senior discount day, LOL. Staff are friendly and its a really cool, cheap store.

Tourist season was over when I chose to visit the coast. I knew I had to pick up a few postcards to mail to family and friends. I tried Shark Attack but they were closed all day Saturday. Next I inquired at CVS but there were no postcards to be had. I inquired at the front desk of the hotel and was sent down the road to Maxway’s. I not only was pleased with the large selection of postcards but also pleased to pay 20 cents per card. Then I found a book on Sea Shells that I just had to have. If I had more time I’m sure I could have added many more treasures to my shopping basket. Thanks Maxway’s!
