D’chel Spa Nails & Tan

Made an appt waited 20 minutes and walked out. Why is it so hard to find a place that honors appt? This was first and last visit. Ladies stop allowing nail salon to rule the clock. I will probably go back to my natural nails as I can’t handle what I consider the hassle of local salons.

I went here a few years ago and it was fantastic. However, after trying here today I’m regretting my decision. I think of getting my nails done as relaxing and enjoyable, but they rushed through my mani pedi so fast I was out in half an hour. I get that you need to work quicker when there is a wait, but it was just myself and one other woman there with no one waiting on services. My pedicure looks great, but the manicure not so much. The girl doing my hands was extremely quick, missed a bunch of cuticle, didn’t care what shape I got, and kept bumping my wet nails and would just paint over the smudged parts instead of really fixing them. Normally I upgrade my pedicure to a scrub or wrap, but I wasn’t even offered that even though the upgrade sheet was right next to the girls. I may give it another try since they’re the closest to my house, but I almost don’t want to.

I bought my wife a gift certificate. She doesn’t go very often to get her nails done, hence that is why I bought her the gift certificate. Neither of us realized that the certificate expires in 6 months. If I had known that I would have pushed her to actually use it. She went in and tried to use it and they only honored half of the value of the certificate and then they had the audacity to tell her that they always make sure to tell people to use it within 6 months.
BS if i had heard that I would have made sure she were to use it. I remember the person that helped me originally because of his shaved arms. He originally looked at me like I was crazy, but he is the kid working in the nail salon.
I do not recommend this place and I don’t even get my nails done. Be honest with people and make sure they know your conditions when they purchase your services, if you don’t your just dishonest.

If you’re a first timer don’t get anything fancy, they know when you’ve never been and are happy to take your money and cut your treatment short. I asked for the sugar scrub pedicure and for 12 dollars more I got some sugar scrub in addition to lotion. The whole pedicure was less than 20 minutes. I’ve had plenty of pedis to know when I’m being shammed. The girl was literally in the middle of rubbing my left foot when a mother/​daughter walked in and since they were regulars she quickly switched to my right foot, rubbed it for 20 seconds and hurried into the terrible polish job. 32 wasted dollars later I can honestly say it was the worst and most expensive pedi ever. I should have questioned it at the time but didn’t know what I should truly be getting until asking a friend who frequents the location. Big bummer when you’re a mother of two babies and you look forward to nice relaxing alone time.

My husband and I have been going to D’Chel for years. Everyone there is so friendly, and it is very clean. I get pedicures, and the polish usually lasts for a month, and the sugar spa pedi is worth it for the great leg rub! If you are going on the weekend, it’s worth it to call ahead for an appointment, as the wait times for walk ins can vary, as they get busy on Saturdays. I highly recommend D’Chel!

i drive way way way out of my to get my nails done here. i live in va highlands and this place is in smyrna. any place that has me going this far out of my way is FANTABULOUS!
seriously, pedicures rock. dish out a few more bucks and it is well worth the extra pampering. even sticking with the basic pedis is going to be super relaxing. the girls there do an awesome and thorough job. i do wish they had more color selections BUT that is why they are 4 stars, sorry ya’ll.
i go back and forth about having the natural manis and getting the solar overlay. the girl who does my pink/​white solar does is the best i have ever had. my nails never ever look fake, tacky. sometimes it takes a while but always always always worth the wait!
