Cheddar’s Casual Café

This place is awful. It’s dirty, loud and overall just a dump. I’ve been to other Cheddars in the past, but won’t ever return to this location. If you want to feel like cattle eating from a trough, hit this place up. Oversized portions of cheap poor quality food. Let the piggies eat. I’ll go somewhere else.

Great for any occasion. Food is great. Good service and atmosphere. Have had many great dates and dinners with my friends there.

I was not expecting much from this place as we hit it on way back from a later cheer competition. In fact, we arrived at about 10pm with a group of six. The place was fairly busy. However, the service was great.
The menu is fairly large. Despite that, all the food was very good. In fact, most of the food was downright impressive. And, amazingly, we found the prices more than fair. Three were great choices for kids.
Chances are you will love this place. The total group price including tip for a group of eight with three appetizers. six entrees, and six soda’s was $ 90.

My fiancé and I ate here for his birthday/​weekend away. The atmosphere was nice and we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly and polite. We both ordered alcoholic beverages, he had a margarita and I had what I believe to be called a «Cheddar’s Pain Killer» or something along those lines. It was fantastic! There is a limit on how many you can have i think it’s 2 per customer. We were carded of course but he did have to talk to his manager before he could order our drinks because our I.D.‘s were out of state. Which wasn’t a big deal. We ordered an appetizer, nachos with chicken or something. They were very good! Now here’s where things went down hill. For our entrée we both ordered salads, steaks cooked rare, with other sides I forget what exactly. Now for his steak he requested that it wasn’t served on a bed of «onion straws» and I ordered mine with sauteed mushrooms. It took our meal a little while to make it to us. When we were served, the manager served us. We didn’t receive our salads and his steak was severed on a bed of onion straws and mine didn’t have any mushrooms. I told the manager that we were missing salads and the other things that were wrong. He brought us our salads and brought me a cup of sauteed mushrooms. My fiancé scraped the onion straws out from under his steak. I honestly feel that if our waiter was the one who was bringing us the food that there would’ve been no mix up at all. The steak was ok. Not much flavor. and the salad wasn’t anything special. I was very disappointed. I’ve eaten at Cheddar’s before and it was wonderful. My fiancé had never eaten at Cheddar’s and was excited to try it.. We were able to enjoy each others company with out having to constantly tend to our 3 young children, it was a nice break. Just wish the food had been a little better. But hey at least the drinks were good right?

If I was to eat with a big group of people, i would get this place. Love the layout of the tables and the food is always a very reasonable price for the portions. My favorite is the buffalo chicken wrapper!

Excellent food, service, and ambience. This is one of my favorite restaurants and we regularly drove to Smyrna and Mount Juliet prior to the one being built in Murfreesboro. All of the food is high quality and my son loves to sit next to the massively large fish tank.

I first experienced Cheddar’s while on business in Iowa, and was excited to see them expand to Tennessee. I think of them as slightly tweaked comfort food. Familar classics with maybe one thing slightly changed for the better.
Its hard to pick a favorite dish, but the New Orleans pasta is what I order most. You won’t go wrong with the Country Fried Steak, Shepherd’s Pie or the Lemon Pepper Chicken. The apps are great and the Caesar salad is one of the better ones around from a chain restaurant.
The only thing that I have been underwhelmed with are the steaks. Regardless of how they are cooked and even though they claim there is seasoning on them, they are some of the blandest hunks of meat I’ve ever eaten. This would be a solid five-​star review if they just had a good steak.

Cheddar’s is ok but the noise volume has always been extremely high. I have no idea as to how you would begin to address this issue but I’d love it if they would.

Was here with my sisters this past Friday while visiting Nashville and the food was worth the visit. We enjoyed will visit again when I go back to my sister’s house.

Late lunch today so no wait. Greeted at the door with our choice of searing.
Good food, great service!
Chips and Queso to start were just right.
Fried chicken and Turkey club for lunch.

We used to go here for lunch from work and it was good value. My wife and I took the grandkids here for dinner. We were seated in a nice booth and the waiter took the order for the drinks and we waited and waited. Eventually the waiter came over and apologized saying there was a mess getting drinks out but people who came in still got theirs way before us, when they arrived my Long Island lacked any evidence of containing alcohol. We ordered the entrees the same time as the drinks and they came out and the kids meals were fine, my wife’s salad had gone awol and my ribeye steak was far from tender.
The prices are low but it’s only good value if it meets your expectations and you enjoy the experience which we did not. The waiter was polite & apologetic as was the manager but they failed to deliver and I will not be back

Cheddars is always a good pick for fine dining at a very low cost. It has a neat fish tank to look at while your waiting to be seated. Also has a great variety of good food.

Every time I come here they can never disappointment great food and friendly staff. There mix drinks good also! Good food with good drinks= good place.

Food was good. Fair price. Large portions. Chicken fingers have a lot of breading. Broccoli has nice seasoning, but was served cold.

Great food and great portion sizes. Love their chicken tenders and broccoli/​rice casserole.

This is my first time at Cheddars and I will never try it again. I waited forever at this location and no server approached me to take my orders and so i left dismayed. What really bothered me is that they congregate in the same area where people dine and they talk at each other and never cared for their customers. They saw me waiting and made eye contact but never bothered to help or even ask for my order. If I was the manager, I would never let them congregate and talk loud in the dining area because it does not look good, it was so annoying. I will never return to this location ever.

I like their onion rings. Many dishes are really good. But, The last time we went they offered no children’s coloring menu and no crayons. Why I asked? Children had colored on the walls? What? Are they better than some of the finest restaurants around? Parents and grandparents should complain. I thought it was very anti child friendly. Do they want us to not come and bring our grandchildren and children? That’s what it seemed.

My wife and I went there to see what it was like.
We went in and were seated promptly. Then we were forgotten about for about 10 min. I went up to the hostess and asked if we had a someone to take our order. She didn’t know that is where we were sat…
When the waitress did show up — she made up for it with over attentiveness — it was a nice change :) We put our orders in and got our food promptly. The appetizer and and food was great! The burger was juicy, the fries tasted good. My wifes buffalo chicken fingers were great! Over-​all the food was really good and we’re going back. My only critique and the reason for 4 stars is the front of the house needs to be put together better. Forgetting customers is not cool — there were plenty of other waitresses walking by too… Just annoying.

We’ve seen chedders in a few locations but had never gone to one. Since we were staying around the corner from this one we thought lets give it a try.
The host who we believe was the manager was nice enough when he sat us. But after that he stayed behind the bar with a girl that may have been the bartender. He was the loud one in the place staying back there most of the time we were there.
The server was also nice enough but missed little things like why most of my meal was left on my plate.
The app patter we ordered was the triple choice. Nachos, potato skins and cheese sticks. Cheese sticks good. Skins were chewy and the nachos tasted like a taco bell taco.
My rib eye steak overall was good. it was to temp ordered and juicy. However, It was way over salted on one end. I felt like I was chewing on a salt like. It took a whole glass of coke to kill the salt taste. My mash potatoes were so dry even people in Arizona would water them. I asked for butter and never got it. The mac and cheese tasted like kraft with bread crumbs on top. Not bad but not good either.
The kids grilled cheese was under cooked (I know, hard to do). The cheese wasn’t melted. and Her fries were semi cold.
The Baked Spasagna looked and tasted like a big gooey glop of spaghetti and cheese with a plain red sauce. No joke it looked like a bird crapped on a pile of road kill.
Not the worst place we’ve ever been to but it wouldn’t make the list of «go to» places.
Sorry Chedders but I call like I see it.
Oh, The Shepherd’s Pie described in your menu should be called a cottage pie.
I forgot to mention the runner that brought our food was in such a hurry she almost hit my wife in the face with her plate.

First time at cheddar’ was good. Service was very good and food was decent. The steak was a bit dry but it was tasty. Chicken tenders were juicy and tasted fresh. You must try the mango tea but stay away from the banana tea-​yea, i said banana tea!

Food was excellent and our server, Sam, went above and beyond to meet our needs! Will definitely be back!

We like the food at cheddars fine, but this review is really about the substandard service we received on our last visit.
The waiter was inattentive and took FOREVER to do anything. He never refilled our drinks and never checked on us. But the real problem occurred when he used the back of the booth seat my husband was sitting in as a place to set a tray of dirty dishes. When the gentleman on the other side of the seat got up, he knocked the dishes off into my husband’s seat. Food spilled everywhere. The waiter took away the dishes, but left the spilled food on the floor and in my husband’s seat. He NEVER cleaned it up and my husband had to try to get out of a food smeared booth without getting it all over him at the end of our meal. INEXCUSABLE.

The food was awesome! Especially the lemon pepper catfish. One of the best I’ve had ! I was very impressed. And the service was great too. What a nice surprise for lunch today. There were some flies buzzin around.

We’ve gone to this Chedder’s twice and love it! They have awesome burgers, chicken fingers, fries, and cookie sundae for dessert:). But make sure to order the cookie sundae soon after you get your main course because it takes 10 – 15 minutes to bake.
This restaurant was love by my whole family… I would highly recommend it!

I will never come back to this Chedder’s location! We were seated right away. The hostess said our waiter would be right with us. I only saw one waiter working the tables around me. After 8 mins of waiting and not so much as let me get you a drink or «Hi I’m so and so and I will be right with you.» We got up went to the hostess informed her we would never be back and left.
Now it would have been different if I hadn’t seen the waiter but no he waited on the table beside me and behind me not once but three time before I left. I have never left a restaurant before and I have never given a 1 star rating ever but this really went all over me.
