Mediocre food, high prices and horrible staff for dinner. I went back one night to the bar and it was ok. The band was rude, but the staff were friendlier and the drinks were good. I will never go back for dinner, but maybe for drinks.

My wife and I went there with some friends before moving into our apartment. The food was amazing and so was the service. I got the BBQ Brisket Mac and Cheese and my wife got the jumbalaya. We were very impressed and and will be returning.

I have been here for both brunch and dinner. They have a nice outside seating area and market village is a cute little shopping center with plenty of parking. The food was good(but not great) and portions were a little small for brunch. Everyone in my party finished every drop on the plate since the portions were not too big.

Just a great place to sit outside and have lunch. I love the menu, they have some Cajon/Creole dishes, great wraps, burgers of course and salads. I tried the gumbo and it was really good. I had to ask for bread — which doesn’t make sense to me. All soups should come with bread or crackers. The waitress seemed puzzled at first, didn’t know if she had to charge me a dollar or not for the bread. At the end it was on my bill but no charge. I’m glad the gumbo was good. LOL– Next time I’ll bring my bread.

Went on May 5th, they had run out of the posted special(sign out front advertising it) by 8:30PM. Order only their marked«favorites» The Pork tenderloin with cheese grits was amazing!!! We ate every bite. Brussel Sprout salad was so dry(no apparent dressing) and the onion pie was something unrecognizable. I expected a quiche type item made with onions. Instead it was a browned wet cracker base with a few overcooked onion pieces on top. Truly inedible. Staff was very nice and polite. Always feel badly for waitress when kitchen sends out something bad. She was so nice.

Food wasn’t amazing but was good! Brunching with a 2 year old can be rough sometimes and their staff was amazingly sweet and accommodating as were the other diners. The Eggs Savannah was delicious although I expected more meat that I got. The biscuits needed salted butter as they and/or the preserves lacked a bit of salt. I would definitely return.

Really impressed! Me & my wife have been there a number of times now. It’s close to our apartment and it’s just a really consistently solid place to eat & drink. They have two menus so you can get more than bar food and believe me you should try the main dining room menu, because they do a really good job. Service: Great & Fast Venue: Great Atmosphere: Great Can’t ask for too much more. I didn’t expect this place to become a part of our restaurant rotation, but it is.

Came in not expecting much and came in to some amazing live music on a Friday night at 12:58am. The kitchen was still open with their full menu available so we all ordered breakfast. Amazing environment in a nice side of Smyrna. Parking was a bit random, but I’m sure you can find a space with no issues. The place is loud, but sooooo divey!!! It’s really nice here with the music!!! PERFECTNIGHT!!!

Enjoyed dinner here on Valentine’s day. My steak was not cooked to the level requested which caused my boyfriend’s food to get cold while we were waiting on my food. Overall service was decent. Server seemed to be working both sides of the restaurant so we often ended up asking other servers and the manager for assistance. Including my steak being under cooked. I feel like some of their online pictures and advertisements are not as accurate to their location. I looked at this restaurant(online) last year for a baby shower location. Based on pictures and pricing I assumed it was a 3 to 4 star restaurant. I was told it had two sides… Tavern and regular restaurant. I ended up not using their location for the baby shower. We decided to have Valentine’s dinner at Atkins Park. Based on pictures from this location and the VH location. I was a bit taken a back when it was below the level I saw online.

Atkins Park Tavern is located in the Market Village center and is a New Orleans style restaurant with its décor and menu items. There are multiple rooms to dine in including an outdoor heated patio as well as 2 main dining rooms. I came here for lunch with a few coworkers and we started off with the Guinness dipped pretzels and Voodoo-Who Dat fries. I am not sure why the pretzels are given that name because its just 2 plain salted pretzels that come with mustard and queso as dippers. Maybe the queso is Guinness based? The Voodoo fries are fries loaded with gravy and cheese and was enough to share for 4 of us. Both appetizers were decent but I preferred the Voodoo fries. As for my meal, I decided to order a burger but customize it by adding a fried egg and provolone cheese. The others ordered the special of day which was a chicken cordon bleu sandwich and reubens. All the burgers and sandwiches were massive and came with a side of fries but you could switch your fries for soup or salad. The burger was solid with a generous portion of fries on the side. Our service throughout the meal was a little slow considering the restaurant wasn’t even half full. The ambience was cool and the food is not bad so definitely an alright place to check out if you are in the area.

Came here for brunch on Sunday morning. We had a reservation so we were seated immediately. The server came quickly and took our drink orders. When she returned with our drinks, she took our food order. It took only about 20 minutes to get our food. I split a garden salad and burger and fries with the husband. The salad was a little sad. It had 1 slice of cucumber and 2 cherry tomatoes. It’s leaves were a little wilty but there was a plethora of onions… meh, it was fine. The burger was quite tasty. It had crispy onion rings on it, barbecue sauce, and lettuce. There was a good amount of meat in the patty, so overall burger was tasty. There weren’t as many fries as I would have thought there would have been and they tasted very vinegar-ey. Definitely not home-made at all, or at least did not taste that way in the slightest. A friend ordered the blackened chicken hash. When she received it, all you could see was chunks of ham. She asked the server if she received the correct meal as she requested chicken. The server said yes, it’s mixed in. When we searched for the chicken, all we could find was one quarter sized hunk of chicken… not really what she was expecting to receive. When we finished our meal, we asked to split our checks two ways(we were having brunch with another couple). The server came back and said, I didn’t remember who had what, is this right, and had put the two girls’ meals on the same check. We told her the correct meals and she went away. I am not sure what on earth she did then because it took her nearly 20 minutes to come back, and honestly it wasn’t that crowded. I told the other couple that I wished we just had venmo’ed each other the difference and called it a day. Overall, the meal was meh. It wasn’t bad, but I have most definitely had much better brunches and better service elsewhere.

I like that this place has a dining area in the front and divey bar in the back. You get the best of both world’s, depending on what mood you’re in. They have lots of beer specials and a full bar. We got a starter: Creole boiled peanuts $ 4– very good, they a have a warm kick to them. Not too spicy. Dinner: Sweetie chicken pot pie $ 14 — sweet potatoes, green beans, chicken and a pastry dome. The dome was a flaky crust that looked like a taco stuck in th middle of my pie. Only it wasn’t a pit, it was more of a skillet with some meet and veggies. Very small portions of it at that. Creole jambalaya $ 13 –shrimp, chicken, french bread in a red rice all smoked in the a big green egg. It was ok. The rice seemed under-cooked and the sauce did not taste good at all. Southern Fried chicken $ 16 — whipped potatoes with fried chicken on top. This plate was a very generous portion. It was delicious, perfectly fried and seasoned. Northeastern stuffed shrimp $ 22– 5 shrimp on top of a crab rice almost like a risotto. It was’t bad at all. it was very cheesy and creamy and had a hint of garlic. Brussell sprouts salad $ 6 — we did not care for the salad. It was shredded Brussels sprouts, chopped potatoes with lots of Parmesan cheese. I wanted something healthy and it didn’t taste very good either. Overall I’d say your dinner entrees can be hit or miss. It just depends on what you pick.

Was in town on business and decided to take my aunt and a good friend to this restaurant. I had visited the establishment before, and never had a bad experience but never had a fantastic one either… just kind of «ok». We sat down promptly during lunch time on a Thursday. We ordered the hummus plate which came with an abundance of cucumber, celery, pita and carrots. The hummus was listed as Edamame-Jalapeño. Well, for the most part it was tasteless. No kick as I expected with jalapeño in the title. Virtually no taste what so ever and topped with a dill yogurt. My friend does not eat dairy, so the server was very kind to bring us a portion of the hummus with no yogurt. I was so looking forward to trying something different, and it was different alright– no taste. We ordered our lunch, I had the Lighten Up Chicken Salad in Pita, my aunt had the corned beef reuben and my friend had the Caribbean Chicken Kabbobs. The potato salad that accompanied the chicken salad was tasty and creamy, but the chicken salad had very little flavor and I detected as well that the grapes within the sandwich had soured a bit which made me wonder how old the chicken salad was. It was plentiful though in the pita and thankfully the pita stayed together. Just not flavorful. My guests enjoyed their meals pretty much. The kabbob was loaded with huge chunks of pineapple, peppers, onion and chicken on a bed of rice. He said that he liked it. My aunts sandwich was huge and she took half of it home. All in all, the service was excellent, but the food for me missed the mark. I do love a cool Georgia afternoon so we decided to sit on the patio.

Had brunch on a Sunday, and overall the food is good. The deviled egg app is just bland and not worth $ 4.00 for 2 eggs. Definitely had better and was disappointed with bland taste. However my Pork Belly Eggs Benedict was phenomenal and one of the best brunch items I have ever had. Paired with the pimento cheese grits and you have a rewarding and filling dish. My girlfriend had the pancakes and they were very good as well. The only negative(besides the app) was a late opening. We arrived at 10:30 am and the doors were locked, and no sign as to hours. Tried again at 11:00 am and the doors were still locked. We had to call the restaurant to see what the hours were after which they finally opened the doors. Overall a great brunch and looking forward to exploring the rest of the lunch/dinner/drink menu in the near future.

Atkins is in a little plaza surrounded by a bunch of different restaurants and shops. They have a restaurant side and a bar side. I only went to the bar side, which does allow smoking so make sure you’re alright with the smell. I only went for drinks and bar food around 4PM. The servers were really friendly and helpful. I had the chips with queso and chicken tender with fries, which came with two sauces. The food was typically bar food, nothing special. I’d probably come back and try some other things.

I’ve eaten here many, many times over the years. I recently went for lunch and had a pretty good experience. Since some of my experiences in the past haven’t been up to par, I’ll review based on my most recent experience. We started off with their fried green tomatoes, which are amazing! I seriously forgot how great they are. I love the cheese and the pinto bean«salsa» they put on top. I’ll probably get them for my meal next time. I ordered the chicken salad pita with sweet potato tater tots for my meal, and it was okay. The tater tots were good, and the chicken salad had a great flavor. My biggest complaint with the chicken salad is that my first few bites were ALL tough, fatty pieces of chicken that I had to spit out. It’s unfortunate that my meal was tainted from there. We had great, attentive service and the meals of the others I were with were good. We’ll be back again soon!

I can’t give more than 3 stars to a place that allows smoking inside. I’m a non-smoker who doesn’t appreciate coming home smelling like an ashtray after one drink. Besides that, the food and drink is really good here. I’ve been several times and the staff are always friendly, attentive, and are good at making drink suggestions. And, the food is good. Kevin is from the Gulf Coast and everything has a Cajun twist on it. My fiancé, who is from Mobile Bay, approves. Especially of the po’ boy because it’s served on a French roll, like it’s supposed to. It’s worth checking out, but watch out for the cigarette smoke.

Atkins Park Tavern seems a bit divey, but I like, I like!!! The live band, the smokiness, people randomly dancing in small areas to the sounds of the band. It was cozy & fun. My friend and I ended up getting out late this past Friday. We Unilocaled bars, and this place stuck out like a sore thumb. We ended up dining in the non smoking area. It took a minute for the waitress to realized that we were not just over there taking break from the smoke. Jessica finally made her way over to us after we flagged her down, she apologized and became our buddy for the rest of the night –Lol. I started off with a peach flavored margarita, and I must say that its good that I like my drinks with a little kick to them, it was basically a glass of tequila with a splash of peach liqueur — lol set my evening up right. Ha, ha, ha Since it was around 10ish or maybe even 11ish, I didn’t want anything heavy(they were only serving the bar menu anyways) so I ordered the Cajun turkey club, with fries, and my friend order the shrimp po boy grilled, they both were excellent choices. The food was great, the table setting were really cute, I really enjoyed myself. We got invited back the following day for oyster fest, but I’m not a big oyster fan, with the Mardi Gras beads and décor hanging all over the place, I’m sure it will be a very fun time. The food, the music, the people, the fun… I’m sure to return.

This bar is such a good time and the drinks are as amazing as the Customer Service. The bartenders know what they’re doing(that’s important). We’ve been here a couple times on Saturdays in a large group. We always find a table whether it’s inside or on the outside patio area. There’s also a live band that plays popular pop/rock type music that you can sing along to. Last time we went, I asked the bartender to make me a martini in whatever flavors they thought was good. They ended up making a Blueberry Pomegranate Martini which only came to $ 5.00. Loved the price too! This is a great place to grab a drink with friends or watch a game. They also have TVs everywhere. Check it out!
