Smoke smell really ruins it for me. They need to get a filtration system or something, my eyes were burning and hair stunk after I left. The pizza was okay, would have given three stars. I liked the sauce a lot. Dark wood and a bar atmosphere. Service was fine.

Awesome establishment in the Village! Zucca is right in my backyard and not only do they have daily drink specials(a rare find around Atlanta), their pizza is super yummy, no smoking allowed inside, little TVs in all the booths for game day and an adorable patio that would be killer for private events. I think I’ve found my new favorite hangout spot!

I’ve only had the pizza here, but it’s the best I’ve found in Smyrna/Vinings area. I’m looking forward to trying some of their entrées. They use premium ingredients and the service has always been excellent.

Third and last time coming here. The service and food was blah. Server came three times(to take our order, to serve, and to give us the check) to our table. Took 20 minutes to get the appetizer, only to be disappointed with cold calamari. It was obvious it had been sitting for a while. As we’re eating, our pizza comes out a minute later; the point of the appetizer is to prep for the main course, not to accompany the meal. Oh and no refills either.

Let me just say first the food was very good(once I finally got it). I came in at lunch time and as soon as my server got to my table I could basically smell his attitude. I came in with my two young boys and I could tell he(his name was Ted) immediately wrote me off as an annoying non tipping customer. I have waited tables for almost ten years and I believe in tipping very well and I understand sometimes we just have a bad day but this was just too much. It took over 40minutes for our food to come out and he maybe came to my table 3 times. They were not busy(maybe 5 – 6 tables in the whole place and at least two servers) and yet for some reason it wasn’t possible to even ask for a refill cause he was just standing with his back to us. I’m very disappointed in my visit today and will not go back.

These guys will rip you off! Bartenders stiff you and when you challenge, they will fight it even though a false signature was recorded. There are so many better places to go, like Atkins Park!

I used to love this place. Not anymore. Service was good, but it couldn’t compensate for the abysmal food. I ordered a shrimp scampi dish that I literally took only three bites of. It was a huge bowl of flavorless pasta with equally flavorless shrimp on top. The shrimp were so overcooked it was criminal. My husband’s pasta was supposed to have a cream sauce. What arrived at the table was penne in a bath of scalding hot watery milk. How is it possible to get Italian food this wrong? The food here used to be prepared with love and passion. I have no idea who is working in the kitchen now, but they should be ashamed of the sloppy, flavorless food they are turning out. Icing on the cake was the smallest pour if wine I have had… EVER!

I’m A FAN and JT is the man with the Plan!!! My friend and I ended up getting out late this past Thursday night and it seems like no one wanted to serve us. We arrived around 9:45 at The Corner Tequeria and was basically told by this female bartender that the kitchen was about to close, I asked what time, she says 10, which would have given us about 15 mins to order… But… That’s an entire different review. Lol… We ended up going next door to the Vintage Tavern and JT came over to take our order. He was cool, he handed us a few menus and he said the kitchen will close soon, I told him I wanted some food food and not bar food so he then told us to follow him … He walked us over to Zucca but he was still our waiter, seems like the two restaurants are attached somehow and even though they closed at 10pm he was still willing to serve us. Great service!!! I ended up ordering the seafood chambota, which is a really great dish, a bit spicy but very very tasty. My friend ordered the lobster ravioli and chicken parmesan sliders for appetizers. We also order a couple of cocktails. Everything was great!!! The place is dark and cozy, they have a full bar and a juke box(how great is that?). Even though we were seated in the bar area, I notice how nice the booths were, they have TVs in every booth and the décor is every interesting — see pics. the service was fantastic!!! I will definitely be back, I promised JT that we will be back for pizza.

I love coming here but the smell of smoke coming from the other bar is always a let down. Can’t they get the smoke smell from coming into the restaurant.

I lived in new Jersey my entire life, so I’m used to good tasting pizza. Moving to Georgia I learned every pizza joint claims to be new York style pizza. Zuccas is the only place that taste exactly like new York pizza. Don’t waste your time. If you want good pizza, come to this place.

I guess we should’ve left when we were greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke from the bar adjacent to the restaurant. But the place was fairly busy and how bad can it be? Well it wasn’t terrible, but it was bad. Our waitress was nice but kept apologizing for the«wait.» There was never any wait, until she disappeared when we needed our bill. I guess her apology was preemptive. The food was some of the most blah Italian food I’ve ever had. The risotto ball appetizer was two balls of lukewarm fried risotto. My eggplant parm was mushy. My side salad came with parmesan cheese that came out of a can. Canned parmesan cheese? I don’t think so. My husband’s stromboli was way too greasy. The atmosphere was way too much like a sports bar between the cigarette smoke and the tv’s everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE like at your booth. Some people may go for that reason and that’s fine, but not my personal style. Life is too short to eat bad Italian food. So don’t.

We really like this place. The food is constantly good and the atmosphere is great. It’s so a good place to go on the late night.

Just tried it again after months of a hiatus. Hottest day in Atlanta and it was muggy and hot inside. Only thing worse was our empty glasses and poor service. Beer was not cold, but Chicken Parmesan pizza was the best ever as always. We are local and get frustrated that Zucca cannot be a consistent enjoyable experience. Food is amazing. For now on, TAKEOUT.

I thought the food was amazing. We ordered a salad to accompany the meal that came with eggplant, squash, tomatoes, olives, romaine lettuce, and onions. It didn’t even need dressing b/c the toppings were already flavorful. We also ordered a large pizza(build your own) with pineapple, artichokes, and spinach. SOOOOOGOOD! I was stuffed after two slices. It’s not an overly«bready» sort of pizza — more thin crust if anything. Service was great and our waitress was attentive. If you’re ever in the Smyrna area, this is the place to go for pizza!

Food is really good. Service is sometimes slow. Typically worth the wait. Pizza is the best in the area. Pasta is decent.

It’s hard to rate a place below one star as both the awful food and abysmal service by «Megan» were in a race to the bottom. I came there with my date at 2:30 pm on the Sunday of the Jonquil Festival; and the inside was empty and the patio only had 2 – 3 other tables occupied. It took«Megan» well over 10 minutes to come around to drop off menus & take our drink order, for an overpriced pitcher of cider. Then, it took her another 10 minutes to take our order for two slices of «Sicilian» pizza. There were actually two waitstaff — «Megan» and a guy who was(I guess) the manager; and the guy just stood there while Megan yukked it up with other guests. When the«pizza» FINALLY arrived, it was something out of an elementary school lunchroom, with a frozen crust and just a thin semi-transparent layer of sauce that looked & tasted like cheap ketchup… And a taste that took me back to 6th grade public school. I left a two cent tip, which was generous.

Awesome pizza and good. You really need to try the buffalo calamari. Buffalo chicken pizza is unreal as well. Unfortunately it turns into a dance club and night. It didn’t use to be so bad but the groups that go there have changed

This isn’t going to be a good review so brace yourselves… We had a big party so they did seat us well and were nice about it. The waitress was nice in the beginning. Took our drink order then our food. Drinks came out at a decent time and so did the food. Didn’t have a long wait at all, for a party of ~15. Food = gross. The sauce on the pasta was way too watery and just a bunch of chunky tomatoes. The other dishes my husband and sister got, they weren’t pleased with theirs either, and for the cost it could have been better. The best part is at the end. So, we know its a big party so gratuity is added on. She brings us our check and we pay $ 20 cash and the rest on a card. When she comes up we explain that the $ 20 cash is for our tab, and the remaining goes on the card. Simple right??? Well, home girl decides to only put $ 9 out of our $ 20 and cashes the rest as her«tip»? The remaining on the card doesn’t add up to what we gave her. Seems like we’ve been waiting forever for her to come and ask her to correct this, but she never comes. Finally my husband goes up to her and says«Seems like you made a mistake on our tab, you didn’t apply the full $ 20 only $ 9, so we should get $ 11 in change or deducted from the total bill off the credit card». Her response was, with attitude, «I’m a little busy, and the mistake was my managers fault». Hmm… ok, well either way, you didn’t come back to us to let us know, AND I highly doubt a manager would make such a mistake and not apologize for it. After that she then brought my husband the right amount, but still adamant that it was the managers mistake. So make sure you check your tab at the end of your meal folks! Sticky fingers at this place!

I came here on a Friday lunch with a large group of, like, 20. While I understand a large group can be hard to accomodate at the last minute, it just felt like the pizzas took an inordinately long time to get to the table. Maybe it’s because I was famished, so I know for certain that might tastebuds probably weren’t so picky once the pizza did arrive. Without further ado, here’s what I ate: A slice of White pizza. This looked delicious as I could see these large round slices of mozza on the top of the pizza. The pizza was definitely thin but it felt kind of tasteless especially near the crust. I almost didn’t want to eat the crust but then I remembered how my mom taught me from a young age to not waste food, so I finished it, haha. Then I had a slice of the 42nd St Pizza which is basically the White pizza with sundried tomatoes and pesto. This definitely tasted much better and my group certainly had a better reaction to the pizza. Lastly, I had half a slice of the Buffalo pizza. Here’s the weird thing: I could smell buffalo sauce, but then I didn’t taste any of it on the pizza. I’m not sure if it’s because my half-slice missed it, but I was expecting to taste what I smelled. It wasn’t bad though. Overall, the pizzas were greasier than Mellow Mushroom’s. I wasn’t impressed and this location is a bit far from me, so I don’t foresee myself coming back. However, service was great despite how long it seemed to take for pizza to arrive.
