What a wonderful tavern. We had the nachos and they were awesome. We also had the French dip and it was the best we have had. The waitress we very friendly and kept the drink refills coming. We will be back.

Great food and great staff! Yes the owner is the only cook back there which amazes me. We have gone twice for lunch and enjoyed our meals both times. Now I have a place to look forward to visiting when I’m in Smithfield.

The minute I got out of the car in the fairly busy parking lot I knew I made a good choice. People leaving were happy and patrons on the patio were laughing and having a great time.
I was looking for a good place to go close to my hotel. Prior reviews made me decide the 15 minute drive would be worth it as I tend to stay as close to the hotel as possible. It was worth passing over a dozen other eateries. If I could take this place back to Nebraska with me I would. The bartender thanked everybody and said goodbyes and even «I love you» to the regulars and staff as they left. The «stolen» quesadilla was wonderful. Only 4 beers on tap but others in bottle. Many whiskey selections as well as others for your mixed drink preferences. 2 blue moons and the quesadilla was $ 15ish which I felt was an amazing deal. My previous night dining meal alone was more and didn’t fill me up or task near as good. Couldn’t even eat the whole quesadilla. So many other options I want to order if I ever make it back to the east coast.
The atmosphere is a time capsule but it felt very homie. The outdoor patio was great and the porch was awesome. Wish I would have had more time and friends with me to play bag toss outside.

This is definitely going to be my new hangout spot! Food was awesome! Heidi getting it done by herself in the kitchen, and the small staff out front doing there thing. Was just a great place to eat and hang, even for a date night.

Passed this place a million times, always looking, judging.
All those good meals I can never recoup.
This joint truly earns the far to often throw around tag of Hidden Gem.
Its the best thing a Biker bar you’ve never had.

Food is pretty good and service is very good.
It’s basically a bar, but surprised to find only a few beers on tap.
I am taking a star off the review because there are flies flying all over this place.
They add 3% surcharge on credit card payments, but pricing is still more than fair.

A hidden gem that’s a little off the beaten path but worth the drive! We enjoyed a perfectly cooked, juicy burger with amazing homemade chips during our lunch stop on our way by and was amazed by the quality of food, numerous food choices, great staff and history of Heidi’s. We can’t wait to try more menu items as we will have to make this a regular stop.

After reading reviews had to check it out, glad we did. Service was very attentive, food was great and love helping out a local instead of giving money to the corporate greed machines. Can’t wait until the ride home so we can stop in again. Hamburger, buffalo shrimp, pub chips, dirtbag beer, and Johnny Appleseed cider paired with great service should not be missed.

This place was Awesome! There portions were large! Low Country boil was great. Ribs as well! Along with the Godfather french dip! Great service! We got the sampler option and everything was amazing. This place look s like the local watering hole but well worth the stop. It is a a couple of miles off 95 but def worth the stop if your looking for a hardy meal. The only thing I can say was just okay was the fries and pub chips that came with the entrée were lacking season just normal other then that I would def come again

I wasn’t too sure about this place when we pulled up, but I was pleseantly surprised! They serve your typical bar type food but it’s done really well! My friend had a steak salad and couldn’t stop raving about it. I had the ruben sandwich and a salad and found everything to be very fresh and good. Building seemed to be renovated and was clean. The owner is really nice too!

The best restaurant around hands down! We have been here at least 15 times this year and the food is excellent every time. Upscale bar food at its finest! Tonight we had the low country boil ½ order for 2. Excellent as always! Also love the buffalo shrimp, wings, quesadillas, pub chips, wedge salad. There is so much I want to try but love my favorites so much it’s hard to change. Walter and the other waitress are great. May have to wait a while for food depending on the night because Heidi is the only cook but it’s worth the wait. May look like a biker bar but it’s filled with a variety of people from all backgrounds. If it wasn’t 20 minutes from our house we would go even more often.

Found the review on Unilocal and so glad we did. The burgers were great and the beer cold! We stopped for lunch and had great service. Mix of casual and business crowd. Had a great lunch!

Don’t miss out on this place. The service is wonderful and the food is even better. The menu offers a nice variety of choices. They serve burgers that that are by far the best in the area (but my favorite is the meatloaf). The crowd is great, it’s not a dive biker bar by any means I wouldn’t hesitate to bring my family in. The place is always neat and clean.

Good food. Biker friendly. Plenty of space to spread out and stay awhile.

Love this place, the beer is cold and the food is great. Seafood is fresh where ya least expect it, in smithfield.

I’ve been to Heidi’s a few times and am quickly becoming a fan! As the name implies, they cater to folks with motorcycles. Drive by on a pretty weekend day and you’ll find the lot packed with bikes.
Located in an older building, with a killer patio, it has a neighborhood tavern kind of feel. As they cater to bikers, you’ll see plenty of leather, tank tops and tats but, that’s just the beginning of their clientele. It really is a pretty mixed group from bikers, to neighbors to business people stopping for an after-​work beer,
The beer list is primarily domestics. They have a decent selection of bottled beer and four or five drafts including Bass and hard cider. They also have a full bar but, this is definitely a beer kinda place.
The food is where they really shine. For an unassuming place, the kitchen staff puts out some really good food. Burgers are thick and juicy. They have good onion rings and excellent, crispy wings. I had the Jamaican jerk sauce on my last visit and it was very good. Just the right mix of sweet and hot.
Don’t think that all you’re going to get is fried bar food. For a small place, they have a pretty diverse menu. The crowd keeps the steamer busy ordering shrimp and oysters. I’ve not tried any yet but, at the rate that they come sailing out of the tiny kitchen to the regulars tables, they must be pretty good.
The staff is helpful and friendly but can be overwhelmed at times.
I am giving them five stars not, because this is a fine dining place but because the food is so much better than I would expect in a dive bar/​tavern.
