Dick’s Sporting Goods

Words cannot describe how upset I am about this place.
My husband goes fishing with his friends every 3 – 4 days and they ALL goto Dick’s to get the rods/​reels/​bait, and many more.
Fishing is one thing my husband enjoys doing because he is very limited to what he can do due to his language barrier.
Like every other times, he went to buy things he needed to go fishing. When he was checking out, the girl was absolutely mean to him and my husband came out with the receipt to show me that he was charged for something he wasn’t too sure of.
I was in the car with our baby, so I went in to tell the girl that she charged us for something we didn’t buy.
She said my husband had bought 3 bags of stones with the meanest face when he only bought 2 and she was so sure of it too.
However, that charge ended up being for re-​reeling the lines which the guy told us wouldn’t be charged since it has been purchased at Dick’s.
We don’t steal ESPECIALLY some rocks.
My husband and his friends spent thousands here and I do not feel good about the way people treat them just because they can’t communicate in English.
We love all the other workers here, they are all super nice, but the girl we had ‘helped’ us today disappointed us and hurt our feelings.
I have told my husband not to come here anymore, so now it’s really up to him, but I will not place my feet in this store EVER again.
She could have just told us that she will check and see what that was and not lie about my husband having 3 bags when he only had 2. We would have understood.
I don’t like my husband being treated like this

I was there this evening to look for soccer cleats, shorts, and a t. After spending 20 mins in the shoe department with no help I picked a pair that happened to have my size out in the floor. I would have loved to try some others out but no workers to be found. While searching for other items never saw an employee. I ended up not wanting to even look for anything else due to lack of hospitality. I’ll bring my business to another store. Even the cashier could barely care that anyone was in there. I felt like I interrupted her when I went to pay for my cleats. I was in the store between 7 – 7:45.

It’s an OK store where one time it can be pleasant to shop and another just plain inconsiderate and rude. I only come here or other locations when my local sports Store doesn’t have what I need. Am also starting to notice they don’t seem to be keeping as many things in Stock as before. Though I guess this happens when their is really no other competition from others.

I like this place because they have a wide variety of sporting equipment. The prices are a little on the high side but I guess you are paying for quality goods here. I bout some paintball equipment and everything worked out great. Customer service is always great, it’s very clean and organized as well. I’ll surely be back for a visit.

Decided to go there a few days ago looking for a new hunting rifle, asked the guy behind the counter about a rifle he said that he didn’t know what the store had in stock and walked away, excuse me you’re standing in front of two shelves of guns and you can’t turn around, guess they didn’t want my $ 800

They are out of shoe sizes a lot. Although this irritates me, they are happy to order for tou. The employees are all friendly and helpful. They have decent stock on everything else.

Wow, it has been a while and how far down hill they have gone.
First, the price. Same product that you can find at Wal-​Mart, Target to Sears but at twice the price. Nothing unique. You would think focusing on ‘sporting goods’ they would have a cost edge, but it does not show up at the register.
Service was poor. No one and I mean no one would stop to help or offer assistance. They almost seem to run when you tried to approach.
The place was very cluttered, which is no big deal.
