I’m giving this hotel two stars because of the management attitude towards non-business travelers. I’m a Marriott Platinum member(which means I’ve been loyal), but my experience with this hotel has been less than adequate. Our soccer team(and others) has been judged guilty just because we’re a team. The breakfast area is closed off after breakfast allowing for no common area to have a meeting(except for lobby). We were given a list of «rules» to follow. In all my years with Marriott I’ve never been handed a list of rules. This is discrimination and judgement at its worst. We are being charged $ 200 a night for this treatment. Evidently, the manager doesn’t work weekends. Staff is less than welcoming. Who do they think pays their wages?

*careful if you are coming late at night, the entrance can be a bit tricky Loved this hotel. Free fast wifi, immaculate room, huge spacious bathroom shower, and a nice breakfast spread. liked it so much we decided to stay at another one in Illinois during our trip(although that one not as clean). Very nice hotel

We’ve been coming here since the hotel opened a couple of years ago. We come to this area twice a year for an overnight getaway and always stay here. The hotel is off by itself which is nice instead of being in the hustle and bustle. The staff is ALWAYS nice. The rooms are ALWAYS clean. The rooms have a nice sitting area with a couch, chair, and coffee table. There is a tv in the sitting area and also in the bedroom area. The bathrooms are large. The hotel is decorated with a modern touch. They have a pool and a hot tub right next to their work out room. There are several great restaurants as well as a brewery within 6 noes of the hotel. The outlet mall is about 8 miles away. It’s a nice place to getaway.

My fiancée, young baby and I stayed here at the end of fall and it was a very nice hotel. We arrived after dark and although we were aware that the hotel is next to a cemetery we didn’t see it until morning and even then it is not creepy and the cemetery is very well maintained and isn’t too close to the hotel. This hotel has many positive things going for it… *Check-in and out was seamless and the staff was very friendly and helpful. *Very clean, quiet and comfortable and near a grocery store, Rite Aid and a restaurant. *We were on the second floor and although there were guests above us we barely heard them and they did NOT disturb our baby. *the room has a small mini-fridge, microwave and an ice bucket and cups. *plugs are on the lamps and were convenient to plug in our cell phones over night and still have next to the bed. *the room was a bit warm when we arrived but when we altered the fan on the heat/AC unit the room temperature became quite comfortable. *The beds were very comfortable and had quite a few pillows, and I love lots of pillows and usually have to ask for more but not here. *Breakfast was good and they had a lot more food options than we expected and everything was fresh despite us going down close to the end of breakfast and we were able to enjoy it down in the dining area or take it back to our room. *It was also very nice to be able to grab a soda/juice from the front desk area when we arrived and have it charged t the room, they also have microwave meals and snacks down there and those would be great for late check-in and/or if you don’t want to go out or order take out. *We also asked for take-out/delivery menus and the front desk had quite a few and gave good reviews on each restaurant and we were able to get our food delivered from two different places and even got a plate, utensils and napkins from the front desk. *The bathroom has Pantene shampoo and conditioner and a bath bar and face bar of soap. *ample space for flat iron and other personal items in the bathroom on the counter top. *There was an Iron, ironing board and extra sheets in the closet. *Fairly spacious room, enough space to have a small crib in between the two queen beds. *the towels are absorbent, not very thick but they did the job well. They are not close to the tub so grab those ahead of time when you put the bath mat on the floor. *we did not bring our laptop so not sure about the WiFi, but we were able to look up info and print out in the small computer room they have available to guests. *there is a small flat screen TV in the room and it had an ample amount of stations to choose from. –There were a few minor things that prevent me from giving 5 stars… **the first thing I would have changed is the light switches to light up the room is too far from the door and difficult to find in the minimal light provided by the switch closest to the door. **Second issue was our mini-fridge wasn’t working properly and we didn’t discover this until after we had our luggage in the room and had our baby settling down for the evening so changing rooms would have been a bit of a hassle, we were able to make due with an extra ice bucket from the front desk. I’d say this was an anomaly and isn’t typical of this hotel or of Marriott. **The third issue was the clocks were not set for the proper time because we had just gone back an hour, we could have asked to have those changed but we had our phones and didn’t need an alarm clock so we didn’t ask but we did inform them before we left and they said they would take care of it. **The fourth and final issue, the tub doesn’t have an anti-slip mat and I had to put a hand towel in there to stand on to prevent slipping… unfortunately I have found this to be an issue with most hotels and therefore is not unique to this chain. Other than those few things we truly enjoyed this hotel, feel the price is fair and the positives outweigh the few negatives, I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and we will stay here again when we visit the Slippery Rock PA area.

This hotel was located next to a cemetery which I found to be creepy. Luckily, my room’s window wasn’t facing it. The hotel had been open for 9 months and it still looked pretty new/clean. There was complementary breakfast from 6am to 9am on weekdays and from 6am to 10am on weekends. I thought the food was good but that was probably because I was hungry from a 12 hour shift for work. They did have those Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches you could microwave. My room was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. However, it was still good. There was an ironing board and iron in the closet and the small LCD tv was not bad either. The wifi signal was strong in my room and I didn’t have any issues. Some of my coworkers had issues with the internet so I guess it might be a hit or miss depending where you were in the hotel. I thought this was a nice hotel even though it was next to a cemetery.

I’m sitting in this hotel as I type this review. My impression, based on our last 2 days/night here: *Check in was seamless; front desk employee was helpful and explained to basics to us *The elevator(there’s only one) may the slowest elevator on the planet(and the door open/close buttons are placebos; don’t waste your time). *The room(king for us) is nicely appointed, but space management is a bit odd w/a long hallway when you enter the room(bathroom on the right). There is a closet w/luggage rack, ironing board, and iron; a bureau w/3 drawers, a small microwave, and a mini frig w/a flat screen(smallish) on top; a desk and computer chair; 2 nightstands’ and a sitting chair. *There are outlets on the lamps on each end table for phone/device charging. Perfect. *There is soap and Pantene shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom. Bathroom is a granite sink/vanity, tub/shower combo w/curved rod, and a toilet. The towels are not accessible once you get IN the tub/shower, so be sure to plan ahead. *The towels are thin, but absorbent. I actually dig them because I prefer thinner towels. *The bedding actually looked a little worn/pilly for the age of the hotel, but the bed was very comfortable. *The room was a bit warm, despite the 65 degrees set on the thermometer… perhaps the filters need cleaned? *WiFi was a touch spotty, both on our laptop and tablet. *The fitness center is small, but adequate: 2 treadmills, an elliptical, and a rack of hex head free weights w/one bench. It was designed well, though, because the cardio equipment face the pool wall, with the flatscreen mounted on the wall to the right. There is a water cooler, towels, and saniwipes. *We didn’t eat breakfast, so I can’t attest to it’s quality, but it is available! *There is sidewalk from the hotel into downtown Slippery Rock, which is awesome. You’re a 10 minute walk from North Country Brewing, a must hit location to eat/drink. *If you’re a runner, there are plenty of places to run from the hotel. *No bar/lounge, but there is a liquor store and a beer distributor w/in 1 mile of the hotel, as well as a grocery store. We will stay here again when we have need to be in the area.

First, I’m not sure why the city and state say«Cocoa, FL» but this review is for the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Slippery Rock, PA. My family stayed here for a night on our way to the Niagara area. The hotel still seems brand new despite being a year old. The long driveway is slightly awkward. I’m sure they are hoping more businesses will fill in the space. Our check-in was standard. Unfortunately, standard is just kinda blah. The front desk person seemed to be on auto-pilot as we went through the motions. She did recommend North Country Brewing Company for dinner and that proved to be her saving grace. There were some snacks on the table in the lobby but I didn’t know if those were for everyone. If they were for all guests, I wish we had been told. The room was pleasant. Warmly modern with all the typical amenities. Breakfast in the morning was good. We were the only ones there so we pretty much had first pick for everything. If I’m in Slippery Rock again, I would return to this Fairfield Inn.
