Great place to get your hairs cut. I’m in the Marines so I get a fresh cut every week over the weekend to be ready Monday morning. If you have never been to a Sports Clips, it’s a sport’s themed salon for men. I would say barbershop but I have yet to see a licensed barber at one of these locations. Most of the stylist I’ve meet were licensed cosmetologist. They consistently do a good job at these locations. I’ve only had to ask the stylist to correct a portion of my cut at some of the locations. They must have good training or know how to hire the good ones. At this location, I’ve only had my hair cut from 2 of the stylist. My 1st and only stylist I pick at this location, name starts with a J and has ink. I highly recommend her, she understood what I wanted in my cut and she executed it with no corrections. I’m not sure if it’s a corporate policy but I’m assuming they don’t allow the stylist to show their ink on their arms. Some locations also have different dress codes. This location is more conservative than others. I’ve been to location that have stylist that dress a tad bit more appealing to their clientele. The 2nd stylist, I had to ask to her to bring the fade on my temples up to match the rest of my head. I’m not sure if that’s the way she fades but I was looking for a level fade all the way around my head maybe a little drop in the back of my head. If you can spare the extra cost, you can get what they call the triple play, in which they give you a cut, wash your head, make any additional cuts, and give you a massage with they handheld massager. Ask them for the leave in conditioner. It’s a mint leave-in conditioner by Tea Tree. My wife got me the shampoo/conditioner and leave-in conditioner which was awesome. I get a little tingling in the grape and when the wind hits it, it feels very refreshing. I like taking the wife out shopping and grabbing my haircut. Their convenient triple play allows me to continue shopping with the wife without the annoyance of hair shaving on the neck. This location’s military discount is not a discount but rather a triple play at the price of the varsity cut(just a haircut). I’m going to bring it up to the regional manager to offer a discounted haircut like other SportClips locations. Getting a haircut every week can get a little pricey. Where as anyone can get away with getting a haircut once a month. I know there’s a good amount of service members in the area. Highly recommend this establishment and recommend the stylist named Jessie with the ink.
