Ordered a dozen red roses for my mom’s birthday one year ago. Chose this florist based on stellar Unilocal reviews. The roses were beautiful upon arrival but wilted and died within two days. We were disappointed that they didn’t last… my mom knows how to take care of cut flowers, too. I’m ordering long-​distance, so I’m relying on honest reviews to make good choices about which vendors to hire. So I’m not posting this to be mean… just to let the business and others know that there was a problem. I should have gotten in touch with them sooner, and directly. But my mom didn’t share the problem with me until a month or more later. Now here it is one year later, and I’m looking for a good florist in Slidell again…

Although I was out of town, I was able to promptly contact the florist about the specifics of my order and she was more than happy to address my questions. The florist was able to create a beautiful masterpiece for the type of bouquet I wanted for a very special occasion.

I can’t say enough about how pleased I am with Distinctive Floral Designs. In 2012 my husband and I married at the Royal Sonesta in the quarter. We visited a florist in Metairie and told them everything we wanted. They made a print out and estimated it would cost us an arm and a leg! Yes I have expensive taste, it’s a curse… But I am also a bargain shopper. We took this print out to Distinctive Floral Design and while she said she had never done a wedding quite like I wanted, she was willing to take on the challenge and quoted us half of what the florist in Metairie quoted. Score! I am so happy that we went this route. I received compliments upon compliments on my centerpieces, bouquet and show stopping fountain arrangement. It was so beautiful that the hotel asked us if they could keep the display up for their New Years Eve Party which we happily agreed to. To this day I still receive compliments. Yesterday was my mother in laws birthday and my husband and I wanted to send her flowers. The lady who answered was very helpful and friendly. I told I needed birthday flowers in the $ 40ish range. B/​c my mother in law lives in Lacombe, there was $ 10 delivery fee (maybe their usual delivery fee) which I thought was reasonable. They were delivered later that day and my mother in law was happy and loved them! Would use them again!

#1 flower shop in Slidell! They have the most friendly and consistent service! Every time I get flowers from here they last so long, I get to enjoy them like I should!
