Genuine. Down to earth. Easy to dive into good times. If you’re uninvited here then that says more about you than anybody else. Love the enthusiastic karaōke. With the big crowd the bartender never leaves one thirsty & multi tasks better than a secretary from the 60’s.

There’s a saying in Skippack, Sooner or later everyone ends up at the Dutch and there’s a reason for that after all the high end restaurants close down the Dutch Cottage is alive and well until the wee hours of the night. I am a local musician who has played this venue for years on end. I am sober so I don’t buy drinks and unlike many other places I am still treated extremely well. Olga(the owner) is Awesome, Gen(the manager) is most accommodating and Jim(the bartender) hooks me up before I even have a chance to order. The food and drink prices are reasonable and the clientele is always friendly. Just so your aware this is a smoking bar. I highly recommend it.

After some very good food in the the very elegant and tasteful Hotel Fiesole(google it, seriously. that will be my next Unilocaler review)…classy/sassy bartender Ashley(she learned how to make a Pimm’s Cup, and was happy about it) suggested«The Dutch» — because«all the servers» go here after work for cheap drinks, juke box. and the lounge-like seating. Works for me. Dive-bar nirvana. Everyone smokes. Prudes be-gone. If you haven’t been to Skippack, great day trip. Right off Turnpike in Lansdale. Lot’s of cute shops, restaurant, and nice architecture.
