I reserved a room here for the weekend after looking at the pictures, looked very clean and modern. The first thing I noticed driving up was how unkept the lawn was. Walking thru to the front desk confirmed my suspicion, it looked unkept, everything looks dirty. The lounge area looks nice but the furniture could use a good cleaning, walking to my room, the hallway didn’t look like it was vacuum. Everything looks dirty and unclean. I will not be coming back again. So very disappointed, do not trust the pictures on the internet.

This is a five star hotel in it’s category, i.e. Small Hotel near Airport. I was an air line pilot for 28 years and have too much experience with small airport hotels. I don’t expect much. However, Sleep Inn, Sioux Falls, SD was a most pleasant surprise. During my stay I dealt with three desk personal. All were genuinely friendly. The room was comfortable in it’s décor. It was quiet. And most importantly, the bed was the most comfortable I have ever experienced in any hotel in any category. I was so impressed I took a look at the mattress to see what kind it was. Rides to and from the airport are by taxi, both provided and paid for by the hotel. Very fast service for the 5 minute ride. The other surprise was the free breakfast. Not just a continental breakfast, but eggs, bacon, waffles, cereal, and coffee. You might do better in an international five star hotel, but you would pay 3 – 5 times the price and I assure you the bed wouldn’t be any more comfortable. Lastly, if you are in Sioux Falls for drivers license business, that facility is less than a 1 minute walk from the hotel.

Could use some up keep but the rooms were very clean. The pool was nice and big. The breakfast was standard. Guest services was the best! We stayed there on the way to Mt. Rushmore and stayed again on the way back. The front desk guy remembered us and gave us a discount for repeat business. When checking out the same guy was taking to a sweet old couple and they were taking about when they would be back. Super sweet!

Looks cheap and not so great on the outside but rooms are up to date, very clean, bed was decently comfortable. Front desk staff was friendly. Not bad for the price!

Pros: 1. Although it looked like a cheap motel from the outside, the room was pretty nice. 2. The room, bed, sheets and towels were clean. 3. The people at the front desk were super nice and courteous. 4. Very affordable rates. Cons: 1. It’s located right at the end of the airport runway, so you can definitely hear the planes taking off. Probably not a good place for light sleepers. 2. If there’s a sporting event going on at Howard Wood Field, chances are you’ll be awaken by some celebratory fireworks. Another reason for not staying here if you’re a light sleeper. I was in town for the Sioux Falls Marathon and had no problem with the place or falling asleep each night. Even though I listed two noise items as cons, they weren’t bad enough for me to tell everyone to stay away. In fact I would definitely stay here again if I were to return to Sioux Falls.

Unexpectedly nice pillows and beds. Clean room. Airport noise not too bad, not really that many flights.
