This park tried to replicate a Japanese garden; however, it somewhat failed. The look and feel was serene, but not that I’m an expert or anything, but seemed to have lacked elements of an authentic Japanese garden. There was a huge pond with a small island in the middle, but the waterfall was broken. It didn’t have a sand or rock garden, or at least it wasn’t apparent. I think rock and sand are supposed to represent the earth and flowing water or purity respectively. There was a tea house, I think, but you could hardly tell! Thank goodness there was a bridge, a small one, but it was there. Rated 2 because I didn’t take it for a Japanese garden, but it’s a great park to walk or just sit and relax.

Very nice park. Good playground. I’ll take my nieces this summer.
