Straight to the point. Very nice place! High end cocktail and beverage place attached to Minerva’s. The fireplace area in the back is the best place to sit. They do cary my favourite wine, Silver Oak. It can be difficult to find a place to sit but well worth it.

I had the salmon salad and the fish was grilled to perfection. My friend had the filet and fettucini. The filet was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the fettucini was delicious.

Quick review! Been to parent restaurant Minerva’s too many times to count, however only third trip to Paramount. Great service via Shanna all three times, great food and atmosphere for a casual evening downtown. Had Chislic and mushroom appetizers, all good, a bacon Bloody Mary that was quite tasty and Cajun chicken fettuccine, again, all good. They feature live music in a relaxed environment as well. I’ll be back!

Had the Montréal NY Strip while seated at the bar. It was really dead in there when I showed up(Monday night biz travel) and I always doubt if I’ll get the best service and food when this happens. However, the steak really delivered. Very juicy and flavorful medium rare temp that was spot on. Subbed asparagus for potatoes and this was a great call. Would definitely head back.

Food was good, however, we came for drinks and they were a major letdown. Out of four drinks, between two people, none of them were made well. They seemed to lack the actual liquor in the amaretto sours and the martinis were merely ok, certainly not worth 10.00 each.

So me and my lady walked in a few steps in front of an older couple(were in our mid 30s) and I had to ask if we were to seat ourselves. Then the server on the floor walked right by us to attend to the folks that walked in behind us. So we turned around and walked out. Bad first impression will make us never return.

Sat for 10 minutes before being acknowledged. ordered a margarita. nothing special.asked waitress if they could make a bacon pizza even though bacon wasn’t a pizza topping(it was in numerous places throughout the menu).she told me «they won’t make that». Ended up leaving just based on how bad the service was. Never had a restaurant that wouldn’t accommodate special requests(if that is even a special request?!)

We stumbled upon this place during the St. Patty’s Day parade… it was the only place downtown not packed with green clad fools. The décor is very cool and laidback. They had a special St. Patty’s Day menu, I ordered the Dakota-style Shepard’s Pie(made with local buffalo) and it was awesome! My wife got bangers and mash… again, awesome. The service was very good. Prices seemed fair. A few good beers on-tap and a nice selection of liquors and house mixed drinks. A good find!

We go to The Paramount about 3 times a year and absolutely love it. The décor is moody and jazzy and the drinks and food are great. Last night we got the Coconut Jumbo Shrimp(Monarch Steak House– take note this is what Jumbo shrimp SHOULDBE) and the seared yellow fin tuna. The tuna was absolutely AMAZING! We highly recommend it! The Coconut Shrimp were sweet and crunchy and the sauce that came with it was delicious. My partner ordered 2 white russians, which he thought were good, I only ordered a Mello Yellow. They had a live piano player which was nice but kind of loud, so people were loud trying to talk over it. Overall this is one of our favorite classier places in Sioux Falls, there should be more places like this here for a city of this size.

I’ve been to the Paramount a few times now and while I love the the décor, I do not like the service or the prices. I was there the other night with my mom and her friend and we all asked about drinks that were on the happy hour menu displayed in front of us. I ordered a golden margarita and the others ordered a glass of wine each. After we ordered, the bartender took the happy hour menu away and then took our food order. My margarita was too syrupy. meh. The bartender told us that the food would not be happy hour prices, but said nothing about the drinks. Of course, when we get our tab, my mediocre margarita was $ 8.50 and two glasses of wine were $ 18– clearly not the happy hour prices. We asked the bartender and he said the computer automatically changes over after 7pm so he couldn’t do anything about it. Pretty misleading and douchey to not say, «hey ladies I want to let you know that happy hour is over.» I bet we ordered at 7:02. geez. I know it’s not THAT big of a deal, but we felt manipulated. It will be a long time before we go back, if ever at all. I’m still on the search for a good ‘rita here in SF.

The Paramount is an oasis in a land of unfamiliar social mores, holiday angst, and family gatherings with not enough alcohol. Thank you! Hubs and I needed some«we» time during our family vacation this year, and stumbled upon the Paramount for some pre-dinner drinks. Big time loved the classed-up interior, waaay comfortable seating, and fireplace. The bartender was great: attentive and capable of making a good, strong martini. Bliss! All patrons seemed satisfied, and ’twas a quiet crowd during happy hour – which suited us perfectly. Can’t speak to the food, but this place definitely specializes in clear liquids. I’d recommend planning out your grub situation and leaving a clean slate for Paramount to do what it does best.

Cozy atmosphere, plenty of seating, and a great selection of alcohol. Our server was very charismatic and attentive… in fact, everything was perfect… almost. The good news is that they did have about 4 things to eat on the menu in addition to the booze. Also, it was great that they were still serving food at 11pm. We actually went to no less than 5 other places in downtown in search of a place where we could eat AND drink. The bad news is. I had a small pizza that cost $ 10… a small pizza that was from the freezer and would cost maybe a dollar fifty from the grocery store. It was like pizza on a cracker. Totally nasty. Also. it had green olives on it… Who puts green olives on pizza??? So that is the only reason this place gets 4 stars instead of 5. The pizza beats a blank. but not by a whole lot.
