I decided to get a mani-pedi before the holiday weekend, and this was the only place that had available appointments. There was only one other customer when I arrived which I thought was odd– middle of summer, right before a long weekend, I assumed they’d be very busy. The salon is clean but definitely dated. It doesn’t seem to get much business– all the nail polishes(literally ALL) were separating in their bottles and had to be shaken in order to see the true color. All the magazines were outdated(from last summer) and they didn’t offer anything to drink when I arrived. My pedicure was great– a full half hour, they used oils and lotions and a hot stone rub, which was new to me. I thought he could have done a better job scrubbing the dead skin off my feet though, they were still pretty rough to the touch. The manicure was just ok. She clipped my nails pretty short right away and didn’t ask what length or shape I wanted. I’ve always been a nail biter and had finally grown them out, so to see them clipped so short was discouraging. She asked me to pay before painting my nails, which I understand completely– don’t want to dig around in your purse with wet nails. But she was a little rude to both myself and the other patron– she asked if we had cash instead of a card multiple times. The other patron had cash but said she needed it for her next errand, but the manicurist was so insistent that the patron just gave up and paid with it. I didn’t have any cash, and she asked if I was sure. They don’t have a website, there’s no sign in the salon saying they prefer cash, and I wasn’t told this when I booked the appointment, so I had no way of knowing. After the manicure she led me to the nail drying table and immediately went to her desk, took her shoes off, and put her bare feet on the table and watched videos on her phone! After a few minutes she came over and shut the machine off, took my purse off the rack and brought it to me saying«You done.» I told her I wanted to stay a few minutes longer to be sure my manicure was set and she sighed, put my bag back, and walked away, clearly annoyed. She didn’t come check on me or ask anything again, so when I was sure my nails were dry I just left. Also, as my nails were drying I realized that none of the tools used were in a sterilizing machine– the clippers, metal cuticle sticks, etc. were just in that blue liquid, like combs in a barber shop. Every other place I’ve been to has had the instruments in a sealed package in a machine. Their prices were a few dollars higher than other salons in the area, so I was expecting a little more. I know it’s not a high-end spa or anything, but the old magazines, old polish, nothing to drink are all little things that you really notice, and are definitely offered at other nail salons.

Great salon. Very sanitary with skilled technicians. Love the extra perks like warm stones used to massage legs during pedicures.
