I ordered a pair of Osiris D3V’s online and paid $ 7.50 in shipping. The shoes showed up 3 days later than expected and ran a half size too small. I called to try to exchange the shoes for the correct size, but Skate America intends to charge me for the return shipping of the original order AND for the outbound shipping of the new order. In the end, I’d end up paying more than 50% the cost of the shoes in shipping fees. I explained this to their customer service representative, and he says there’s nothing the company can do to help. Nothing… I’m not shopping here again.

I placed an online order with Skate America for a number of different pieces of skateboard equipment. I did end up getting my items, but it was much slower than their site suggested. The site, while being very nice and easy to use, claims orders are shipped within 24 – 48 hours excluding weekends. I ordered on Dec 30 and received my items on Jan 12. The order was shipped on Jan 8th. I never received a shipping notice and my order status on the site never changed from unfulfilled. I learned that my order had shipped when I emailed them on the 11th to request that they cancel my order and issue a refund since I had lost hope of getting the items I needed and had decided to source them elsewhere. Their customer service responded that my order had shipped out on the 8th and they provided a tracking number. This information should have been updated on the site and I probably never would have complained. During the entire process I had contacted their customer service a total of 3 times – twice on chat and once via email – and each time their agents were always very polite, but slow. Simple questions like«Where is my order?» took a little while to find the answers to and they always came back telling me that my order would ship that day or the next morning. That was never the case for me. I have a feeling that it’s a little hit or miss depending on how busy they are and whether or not they have your items in stock – one of my items had to be substituted with another, but it was just simple skateboard bolts, so not a huge deal. Most of their issues with online orders would be resolved with better, more accurate communication and realistic expectations set. I would love to shop with them again, but they have some things to work on.

Still dealing with an unfortunate shipping issue. Really very simple, but the owner of skate America has gone out of his way to be mean and rude through email. I paid for items that were shipped to a wrong zip code. Not my fault. Not his fault. Shipping company made the error. Here’s the deal. The shipping company will not help me cause I’m not the customer. Skate America is. Skate America won’t help me because they already have their money. It’s only a few bucks for bearings, but the email responses that I have received from Skate America have been rude and downright distasteful. I can understand a mistake, but the attitude from this company is unacceptable. My kid ordered these items. He goes through a lot of boards and hardware. Usually buys everything through zoomies, but is beginning to venture out. With the amount of boards and gear he goes through, he’s learning where to and where not to shop.

Got my order today. This is my first time doing business with this store. Very satisfied with the customer service. The shipping was very fast and they were able to answer my questions through the phone. Prices are cheap and you get to choose any shipping option of your choice. Highly recommended
