Stumbled on to this place… so glad! They have really good Brussels sprouts, one of my favorites. I don’t eat bread(well not usually), no problem, got my burger wrapped in romaine lettuce and got the sprouts instead of fries. Service was terrific, atmosphere friendly and welcoming.

The food was good. I’m giving it 3 stars because we had the only subpar waitress in the place. All the other waitresses were fun and friendly to the other customers.

Real good burgers, they get the meat from Green Acres. Good beer, lots of TVs, plus they show Dodgers!

Rustys is a hidden jem. I live in Simi Valley but have never been here. The burgers are off the chart! They get their beef from a local butcher which is the best in Ventura County. Although I’m a partner in a winery my preference with a burger is an IPA which they have a good selection. Service was outstanding and it a comfortable atmosphere with seven flat screen TVs with sports. I don’t consider NASCAR a sport but had 6 other TVs to watch real sports.

It is so nice to have a local place that has great food, a fabulous happy hour, and a wonderful staff. They remember what you like and are attentive and personable. The patio is relaxing and they don’t mind if I camp out to write or work. The lemon pepper wings are delicious, and the garlic aioli a personal favorite, as are the Brussels sprouts(Not like any vegetable I ever had!). Good value for the money, and for you guys the TV’s are numerous and all the sports is on! Go Warriors!

This local bar has been around for a while now and was finally able to make it in. It’s not a big place, but they have table seating and bar seating. They have a decent selection of beer on tap and a good variety on the menu. Had the American Cheeseburger, it was cooked well and had great flavor. The bun was soft and airy… so you didn’t feel like you were filling up on bread. The staff there are super nice too. It’s a great local bar to hang out at… and they have happy hour every day.

Went here tonight after reading about it online in a community forum. I have to say, it was great. The Burger I got was amazing and my wife cheese steak looked delicious. Beer is good, and service was great. Will be back for sure. There is one thing that I would have liked to see on the menu… tri-tip. But all in all, excellent.

Best local bar/restaurant west side of Simi Valley east of Madera. The food is fresh, simple menu that doesn’t disappoint. The burgers are awesome, I hear they get their meat from Simi’s acclaimed Green Acres meat market, maybe they need to get a central coast BbQ thing going??? Good beers and fun vibe. Been missing this place. Had to come back for the blackened chicken sandwich… and they are pouring delicious IPA. It really is delicious.

We go out to dinner weekly for date night, and decided to try Rusty’s because we were both craving a burger and a beer. We are so glad we gave it a try. :) We arrived around 7:00 and it was pretty busy, but not too busy to find a table. After a couple minutes, we were greeted by Keith, very personable and helpful. He happily listed the beers on tap and gave a quick description of each special craft beer. We ordered two burgers, both were well cooked and tasted good. Burgers are served with a choice of side(from a pretty good list of options). We got jalapeño bites and beer battered onion rings — yum to both! After our burgers, we decided to try a small order of wings(why not?). They were the perfect size to sample and had good spice and flavor. Overall: — a nice selection of beer(some bottled, some on tap) — delicious burgers and fun sides — happy atmosphere — friendly employees — good prices(4 craft beers, 1 appetizer, 2 burgers/sides came to just over $ 50). — a great, locally-owned place(and if memory serves me correctly, I hear they get their meat from Green Acres. So, in coming here, you are not only supporting one small business in Simi, but two!) We will definitely be back. :)

My husband and I had lunch here. The service was great. I had a blackened chicken sandwich that was pretty good with a side of coleslaw that could have been a bit bigger but as far as taste it was good. My husband had fish tacos that were very good with fries that where average. We always try onion rings and there’s are very good. Overall we had a good lunch and the atmosphere was good. Definitely would go back again.

Our very first visit here was quite disappointing. Surprised to see the 4 star rating on Unilocal, quite frankly. We dined at Rusty’s tonight(Friday). It was fairly busy, but not packed out. Our waiter(believe his name was Keith) was super friendly. Everything looked to be pointing towards a nice experience. Long story short, our simple order of hot wings and patty melt took 45 minutes. 45 minutes! Keith was apologetic, but cmon. that’s just not acceptable for this type of restaurant /sports bar. Also, when the food finally arrived it really wasn’t good. Wasn’t BAD… but was very bland. Chili’s has better food. Again, our server was super nice, but our first(and last) impression was very underwhelming. I’d give 1 star but Keith deserves a bonus star. 2 stars. Won’t return.

The only thing that was disappointing in going to this restaurant has to be in the service during the entire meal that we had. Other than the service the food was not incredible but it was good. The smoked alligator sausage came with grilled onions and grilled peppers with a side of brussels sprouts. The alligator sausage had pretty good flavor to it but the brussels sprouts could’ve used a little bit more salt. The American burger was lacking flavor and it wasn’t worth the $ 11. The adult root beer did have flavor and I have to say it was pretty good. The pretzel breadsticks came with a garlic aioli and a nacho cheese sauce and those were also very good. On the other hand the cheese curds that we ordered were absolutely disgusting with no flavor and not visually appetizing. Also the thing that was weird was that the appetizer came out after the dinner entrée.

I base each review on my experience for the night I visit to give an unbiased opinion. Sarah was my server tonight and she’s awesome as usual and always super sweet. I absolutely love the salads here with the Italian dressing, I’m not sure how they make it but I can’t get enough of it! Nonetheless, I love coming here to eat great food and if I didn’t I would go elsewhere

We’ve been to Rusty’s many times over the past couple years. Since under the new ownership(local owner), I can definitely tell the food and service are better. I love the rosemary and parm potato chips. So far, everything I’ve had has been very tasty. They have a good beer selection and all the prices are very reasonable. It is a great place for locals. Trivia night is right up my alley and is a lot of fun. The numerous TVs inside and out are a plus. Two things I would like to see(hint, hint): Better wine selection and a full bar.

My wife and I are currently watching Bar Rescue. Rusty’s does not need any rescuing. Everything about Rusty’s is great. Fantastic beer selection, fresh food, served hot. Great wait staff, and a very clean and well organized business. We don’t frequent this place enough. Need to be a regular more than just on Unilocal
