I went to Dr. Murata’s with high hopes I would find a pair of glasses similar to the ones I saw someone wearing on television. It took two minutes for the optometrist Jose to come to my rescue and we looked at the options at the actual office. He was SO helpful and took everything I said into consideration and selected several pairs of glasses that fit my description. With no luck and my desire for bigger glasses than the office offered, he took me back to his desk where we looked on the computer for a good ten minutes for the glasses. I thought they were Michael Kors glasses so we spent quite some time looking for those. He finally asked me who on television I knew that was wearing the glasses and I refused at first. He said not to be embarrassed and encouraged me to tell him the show and person so that we could find the glasses. Well, to my absolute amazement when I replied, «Oh, you probably don’t watch the show, but, Scheana from Vanderpump Rules.» And his response was «The ones she wore on the Hawaii trip? My wife watches the show and asked me the same question.» FINALLY, a man that listens to every miniscule detail AND keeps up to date with the in-​demand styles in the world of fashion (sorry ladies, he’s married… but what a lucky wife he has!). Jose was SO welcoming, warm, and friendly and made my experience an absolute pleasure. He has helped me out before and I knew he had talent, but he went above and beyond the call of duty to help me get my ideal glasses. Well, with no luck finding «the» glasses, he told me he would call me if they get any BIG and BLUE ones in anytime soon… once again moving mountains. I cannot recall any time I left a doctor’s office smiling, but how he treated me (like I WAS THE CELEBRITY) really made me feel like he is the type of optometrist that doesn’t view his clients as a strictly all work and business-​relationship… but he actually cares about the customer satisfaction and will go great lengths (even if it is time consuming) to find you the glasses of your dreams. Thank you Jose for making my experience today SO pleasurable. I never write reviews BUT this kind of service deserves an award.

Popped in after leaving W. Sam Shields down the street and similar thing they didnt have much of a variety of rimless frames but Jose and the team went above an beyond to gain a customer. He was genuinely interested in helping out and offered multiple solutions, regardless of they are able to order or not — Much respect goes to people who Smile and actually care about ur questions and want to help you out.

This place is all sorts of wonderful. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a warm yet comfortable temperature, provided by modern ventilation (which is a pleasant change from the chilly winds of Simi Valley). As I make my way to the front desk, I notice how happy an elementary aged girl is to be trying on the frames that will soon be hers to keep, and the employees are in good moods as well. Victoria at the front desk met me with a smile, and the whole experience was already comforting. I sat down with the paperwork and before I was done with the second row of check-​boxes, the assistant calls my name so I can go back for a couple of routine eye exams. I’ve only been here 4 minutes, and even with the patients filtering in and out, I’m already being seen! Jackie, the assistant, was really friendly and even made a comment about how one of my eye scans was like it’s own planet. «How much cooler can these people get?», I asked myself. Then I met Dr. Barker, she knew exactly what she was talking about and you can definitely sense that by asking all the right questions, she wasn’t trying to play things off as if she wanted me to drop a whole paycheck into the office’s pockets. Then I met with Ian, another assistant who helped me pick out the frames for my reading glasses. Friendliest guy you’ll ever meet. I’m telling you, this office is full of sweethearts, it must be an applicant requirement. He told me everything I wanted to know about the different types of frames, whether positive or negative. Another employee named Jenna even helped me chose between two glasses that were the exact same price and gave her honest opinion, which was really awesome. In all, I only payed $ 14 for the entire visit and experienced great customer service. I felt at home and comfortable the whole time and I would have just stayed in there to sit and hang out if I could! Pleased to have such a wonderful staff and business in the community, and highly recommend to anyone.

Dr. Murata and the folks in his office are real pros. They are friendly, competent and knowledgeable. If you’re looking for an eye doctor you can’t go wrong!

Staff is really nice and great to talk to. Fast when it comes to attending your needs. Have a great selection of sunglasses. Got an awesome pair of Ray Bans and love them. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

They are great super helpful and friendly! They are honest, they give u the best costumer service and have good prices and a good variety. they did a contest on facebook to win a pair of glasses i was the winner !! That was very exciting cause i never win anything. .they were very nice when i went to pick the glasses i won! I really recommend them they are very good!

Dr Barker was so nice and I can tell she cared. Ashlee helped out a lot. She went out of her way to be to make sure I was happy. I highly recommend going there!!!

I have seen all of the optometrists at this office, and I can’t say anything but good things about every single one. I appreciate the phone calls, text messages, and emails to remind me of appointments, or to notify me that my glasses are ready. They are fast, efficient, and so kind. In one of my most recent visists; a young lady assisted me and was so informative about every thing. I go every year for my regular exams, and I know what the standard is for getting the tests; but this individual took the time to explain each and every test, how it worked, what it did, and how it played a vital role in my optical health. I was so impressed with her kindness, patience, and warm presence. I love seeing Doctor Womack– She is so sweet, and so easy to talk to. I am always surprised how fast a year goes by, but every year I am happy to return. The selection of eyewear is on point. I tend to go for more upscale frames, and this office has it all. I would like to see even more names on the list — Pretty please? In the past, economical frames were what I had a budget for; and this office accomodates those needs too– You can’t walk in and not find something that suits you. My only other request; is please stock more sun glasses !

When I relocated to Simi Valley I had to start the whole process of finding new health care. Argh! By referral I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Womack. So glad. Every person in this office is professional, caring and helpful. Sounds corny, but they are! Dr. Womack is a pro and a bundle of energy. Jose helped me with new glasses. Although really great, something about them just wasn’t right. So I went back to the office, not sure if they would work with me to get a different frame. Not only did they work things out to get a different frame, Jose has been beyond patient fitting me with a new look. Great selection. If you need eye care, I give Nelson Murata & Associates the highest recommendation.

This company and the staff are first class. Ashley, Optician, helped me with my new lens and she was wonderful! Found be rebates and deals. and she is very professional and courteous.
Unfortunately, I had to get my prescription elsewhere as the Optometrists were booked until 8 – 18. But I returned to get my new lens here and am so glad I did!

I live in the bay area however I will always come here to get my annual eye exam whenever I am visiting home for the past few years. The service staff is excellent, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Very efficient team. Appointments went on time. Jose Will always find the right glasses fit for you. They have a very trendy and wide selection of glasses. I have received tons of compliments on my glasses. Dr. Murata is the best. He is very knowledgeable and takes his time to teach you about Eye health. I highly recommend this practice to anyone!

This place is my favorite optometrist office I’ve been too! The staff here is very kind and knowledgeable, the level of professionalism in the office gives you a great sense of comfort. Dr. Womack is great. She is always very thorough with my exam, any questions that I have she answers them thoroughly. The girls at the front are really nice. I never feel like I’m a number when I’m there. Everyone takes the time to greet me and help me out. The people that help us with glasses really know their stuff. They helped me find the most awesome frames. I get complements everywhere. I went in wanting a certain style and after getting their advice and opinion they helped me choose a frame that I absolutely love.

Dr. Murata’s is the only eye care center I go to because of the exceptional customer service. I went in to get contacts and they almost immediately called me in to get my prescription checked by the technician and the doctor. They gave me really great tips on what to expect with the contacts and proper usage of them, but what impressed me the most is how patient they are with all their clients. I was very finnicky at first with my contacts and could not get them in, but they spent well over a half hour with me until they delicately got them in and thus relieveing me of any fear. They went above and beyond to get my contacts in and I could not thank them enough, especially because now I can see extremely well. They gave me free trial lenses, as they do with all their clients, until I feel like I’m ready to order the box set. They were very quick to order my lenses and I thank their professional manners and service.
If you’re coming here to get glasses frames, you will not be disappointed. They have a very stylish and vast array of frames on display.

The office staff is really kind. Dr. Murata and Dr. Barker are fast, accurate and super nice. I recently got a new pair of Oakley’s that I love. Definitely recommend this optometry office.

Had a great experience, my appt was on time… I didn’t have to wait another 20 minutes past the time. The staff was really nice and helpful. They had a good selection of glasses, I’m supposed to get mine within 14 business days. so we’ll see how timely they are.

I haven’t had an eye exam for over 5 years and I figured why not, now? So after moving to Simi I wasn’t familiar with the area. I checked Unilocal and I found this place and I went there because of all the great reviews. I was not disappointed. I was immediately greeted by the front desk assistant and filled out paperwork and within minutes, I was already taken to the back to conduct a few exams with an assistant. The equipment there is modern and state of the art. I met Dr. Murata and he was very thorough with his tests. There are a lot of variety of brands and glasses you can choose from. I will be his lifelong patient.
