Dr. Gracie is sweet, thorough and caring. She makes sure you are comfortable with your lenses. She doesn’t rush the process to get you out. Definitely worth going to see her, and the staff. They were friendly and helpful, accommodating my crazy work schedule.

Dr. Gracie Ner O.D. is the only eye doctor I have ever had who made me so comfortable that I felt like I was discussing my eyes with a knowledgeable friend. She is kind, smart, and really takes the time to answer any questions and explain your situation to you clearly and simply so that you feel in control of you eyes when you leave. Best eye exam EVER!

Dr Gracie Ner O. D was great! But the staff is very unorganized and are not very personable…
Service takes way too long for such a small operation, looks like some customer service training is definitely in order with the office personnel.
Dr. Ner was great, polite, friendly and a pleasure to work with.

I went in today to get glasses to replace mine that were stolen. The staff was super nice and friendly. The last at the front desk was super helpful when I was picking out glasses. She showed me cute ones that were in my price range. And the doctor was really nice and explained everything to me. She made me feel comfortable and made sure I understood everything during the exam. I can’t wait to go back and get my glasses!

Great staff ! The staff are very knowledgeable with Vision insurance.
Doctor was very professional. She took her time to explain things and made sure my son’s lens fitting, vision and eyeglasses are comfortable for him.
They even did a follow up eye exam (after a week or two) at no charge to make sure my son’s contact lenses and eyeglasses are ok.
Eye exam cost same as Costco. Great variety of eyeglass frames to choose from. They will also match costco’s pricing.

BEST EYE EXAM I’VE EVER HAD!
This was my first time here after years of going to West Hills Walmart, and others, for an eye check. My vision is the clearest its been in years! The doctor did such an in depth check, she also found out I have mild cataracs!
The one thing they need to work on is, their glasses prices are excessive! I got 2 pairs at Eye Image in Tarzana for the price of 1 pair of theirs!

. The doctors are really friendly, smart, and approachable. It is unfortunate that I cannot say the same about the staff. The last time I was in the office was 2 years ago, so hopefully there has been a change in staff. I would walk in the office and be unnoticed for several minutes. I wouldn’t get a call if my prescription was filled. And when I actually told them I never received a phone call from anyone, one of the ladies there said «well, I know that I called you… did you check your phone?».
The only reason why I am leaving this 3 star review is because after the rude response, I immediately found a new eye care office. This office sends me texts reminding me to go in for a checkup (which reminded me I needed to review this office), has a friendly staff who will explain my health care coverage. It was overall just refreshing to go to an office which professional and polite staff.
I hope there has been some change here on the past 2 years… but looking at reviews, I doubt it.

These folks were just fine. This was my first pair of glasses, so I have to admit I don’t have much on which to base a comparison. But I know when I’m being treated well, and when a doctor is treating me like an intelligent person, and I remain positive on both staff and doctor.

While I have never had an issue with either doctor in this office, it is impossible to ignore how AWFUL the staff. Every staff member has been rude to me (both while speaking to me and in their body language). I have never given cause for this treatment; never argued with the staff, or anything of the sort. Given that a patient spends more time with (and deals with) the staff more than the doctor, I have to give them one star.
Although there are only 3 other reviews here that mention the horrible staff, I hope the doctors realize that there are a lot of people that will not speak up. Us 4 speak for a ton of people negatively affected by the staff in this office, my family of 5 included. After my experience today simply picking up one contact, I have decided to never return to this office.

Great doctors. They were the first to really explain my eyes (astigmatism) to me. The staff are wonderful. They are intelligent and they really know their stuff, both the science of glasses and contacts AND the fashion. I have always gotten THE BEST SERVICE. I have gotten compliments on my glasses for years because I let the ladies in the shop pick them out for me and they really know the latest styles and what looks good on a person’s face shape. They go OUT of their WAY to make you feel comfortable with your choices and to help you! One time, they even delivered my glasses to my HOME once because the lab was late with the order and I was waiting for my airport van for an international flight! Really! They are great! However, the prices for higher level (I used tobe really nearsighted) lenses and frames were pretty high for those with insurance. Also, the labs they have to rely on for insurance lenses are not up to par. So, we have had difficulty with the product from the labs. I had to have my lenses ground three times before the lab got them right. The different lenses were making the light into little starbursts, and then layers (like diffraction grating), it was crazy and the ladies at the shop were patient and lovely. One lady even went outside with me to look through the lenses to see how bad the lenses were in the sunlight. I had LASIK earlier this year at a doctor in Beverly Hills (Dr. Caster) and I will continue to go back here for advice on sunglasses because they ladies have never steered me wrong. I do not know about the bad ratings. I have had bad experiences with some rude people in other shops in Simi who need to meditate in the morning before they leave the house because if they have to wait to take their turn for over 30 seconds, they lose their minds and start to yell (literally) for attention. It’s true, I have timed it.

I must add Dr. Ner was very professional and did a thorough exam. This rating is for the optometry staff/​shop.

I am sad to see such low ratings. I came here initially 2 years ago when I was living in Ventura County. At the time I was having a very hard time financially and was without medical insurance. I called around to some places in complete financial desperation to see who could help me for the least amount of money. I was assisted by a very helpful woman on the phone and she gave me an affordable price to have an exam for a contacts fitting and prescription.
Dr. Collins was great and had me in and out and placed an order for my contacts. As mentioned before, I was so broke that I went as far as to price contacts online while waiting for my order to be processed. I found that I could get them for considerably less this way and called the office to have them send the prescription order. The same woman that I talked to before told me that she’d match the online price.
I have moved since; First to Canoga Park and now I’m in Koreatown — I will continue to come here because of how humble and willing they were to help me when I was in need. Not once did they make me feel ashamed or pathetic for being so cheap. As an expression of my appreciation, I even made cupcakes for the office and brought them in :) I wanted to do all I could to show my gratitude, this staff is incredible and it bums me out to see such low reviews for them.
Every time I’ve needed a refill, they’ve matched the price of the first one I had and it’s never been any more.

It hurts to put 1 star because I loved my Doctor; but the staff was pretty lame. There was only one lady who actually helped me and even then she wasn’t very professional. No one welcomed me when I walked in and I had to figure out what to do (i.e. sign in) by looking around until someone saw me touch the clipboard — sorry but when there are 4 of you working and not one stops chatting to welcome the client and guide them, that is ridiculous.
Another time, one of the younger girls had a very disrespectful tone with one of the customers and was actually arguing with her. I don’t really care if the customer is being rude to you, that is still bad customer service. Then when I was looking for glasses, I would ask to try on a pair and she would pull it out for me and simply walk away. I had to track her down just to get a price every time! Stay with your customer and HELP them, that is what you are there for.
This review is long because I am hoping the Doctors there will read it and it will help them get control over their staff. It is going to hurt their client-​base if people have to walk in to this type of atmosphere. Hopefully I don’t have to return anytime soon and can get a new Doctor next year!
