The margherita pizza is quite good. I look forward to coming back and trying more.

Mr. Williams is as kind a person as he is a solid entrepreneur. My son and I were visiting from out of town, and stopped by for the bacon blue and pepperoni pizza. Amazing. Non-conventional. Fun. Thanks for an exceptional experience. Keep it up!

Mediocre pizza. Actual location is a trailer on the side of Jersey street. I was expecting an actual sit down eat inside business — this is NOT one of those. Selections were extremely limited, you cannot order your own style of pizza, only the daily specials. The crust and flavor were decent but not what i was looking for.

Very good pizza. Thin style, not at all greasy. The crust has a nice chew and didn’t dry out even on the next day. The sauce is right on. I am almost positive its homeade. Perfect sauce. Fresh toppings. Definitely worth the drive to Silverton!

Def a place to check out if you’re in the area. Great outdoor seating, reasonable prices and friendly staff. I ordered slices of pepperoni and margherita. I briefly read some other comments about the lack of toppings which I thought was interesting as I remembered thinking my entire pepperoni slice was covered in pepperoni. I was full after two slices and plan to return.

The Old Oak Oven is one of those gems that you love, cherish and hesitate to share with others because you want to keep the secret for yourself. But, the pizza is delicious and the ingredients local all served up by the nicest people. Make sure to call ahead for your favorite pie!

I should have read Chucks review first. And I need mention, I have been to nearly every pizza by the slice joint in the valley and in Portland, and this is probably the only one where you will spend $ 4 and still walk away hungry. They don’t get very creative at all either, no chicken pizzas, no white sauce, pesto only on odd number days if the sun is at a certain angle. The pizza wasn’t bad, what I had was good, but like Chuck said, just very light toppings, and I was finished eating the whole thing in under 2 minutes and I’m not a fast eater.

Best pizza in Silverton/Salem — reminds me of east coast pizza crust– yummy! Their margarita pizza is simple and delicious. Fresh ingredients and excellent customer service.

Absolutely delicious pizza! This is great wood fired pizza. The dough has just the right combination of crunch and chew. So many places over cook and give a burned crust, but not The Old Oak Oven. The sauce is the second thing that makes the pizza. This pizza pleased everyone in the family, including the pickiest of my children, and that is a rare thing. We even went back and ordered seconds and nothing was left on the plates but our appetites. We had pepperoni and marghretia slices and were asked if we wanted just plain cheese for the kids but basil added for the adults. Very intuitive! The owners/waitstaff were so friendly and nice to our whole family. We felt so welcome there! In short, if you’ve got a hungry crew or just want something good for yourself, check out this gem.

It’s the crust! Oh man that crust is the stuff of my dreams. I was there today and a mom asked her son, «pizza?» he said no… «pizza crusts?»… he squealed with delight. Now, that might be a picky 6 year old’s standard answer, but I’m on his side. I love this dough, the way it’s chewy and crispy at the same time.MMmmm. Not overpowered by a mountain of toppings like the traditional American style pizzeria does it(which is fine, I like that too sometimes!) — but the style of this pizza is the only way to top a wood fired, delicate, yet firm slice like The OOO produces. My standing order is a slice of traditional margherita — and one of the specials, they change super often so it’s always a treat. One week it’s amazing sausage, next it’s pesto with pears and nuts or something else divine. Amazing. Thank you for being in Silverton, and my life! Oh and recently they(bought or leased?) the store-front space next to their cart and parkinglot, so that if it’s too hot or cold out, or rainy(hello Oregon), you can now sit inside!

I have had pizza all over the world from Italy, NYC and here in Portland but there is a fired Oak Oven pizza in Silverton that is a must for any foodies discerning palate. Portland has Ken’s Artisan Pizza and other fine pizzerias but I would argue that The Old Oak Oven pizza cart rivals the aforementioned brick and mortar establishments. When you arrive at the Old Oak Oven you will be greeted with a smile and a friendly hello by Katie. As you peer into the pizza cart you will see Daniel busy creating the next pizza going into the oak oven. The pizza at The Old Oak Oven is composed of fresh sustainable ingredients and the flavor comes through in each bite accentuated by the oak fire. Hungry… It’s The Old Oak Oven; your taste buds will love you for it!

Old Oak Oven, you are a gift to Silverton! I so greatly appreciate your fresh, local and sustainable ingredients. And I also love your warm, friendly and efficient customer service. Your pizza is fantastic! Quality control is hard to find in these parts. People need to realize the reason it is so good is because it is made by hand and cooked one at a time –not brought out of a freezer and reheated. This might mean a longer wait or more limited availability. The foodie food cart culture is slowly making it’s way to Silverton. But since you pioneered this area, you will have to do some educating. Thank you for bringing your talent here!

Hours are bad, it’s like they are only open when they feel like working. Wednesday-Saturday? Pick it up, hire employees(it’s a small town, younger people could use a job). Half the time they are out of most of their varieties. The server seems to take too long talking with friends and dog walkers and not getting with the program; making and serving pizza. Pizza isn’t rocket science, step it up. On a good note the pizza is pretty good, they just need to learn how to manage a business better. Normal hours, keeping up with the orders and amounts left.

Anyone who knows me knows I don’t give 5 stars lightly. I enjoy the pizza because the crust is fresh, the toppings are fresh, and it simply tastes good. The owners are both nice people who enjoy what they do, and this is very important to me. I am always greeted with a smile and I know everyone else is too. Highly recommend. Now, if they would only stay open until midnight.

The pizza here is amazing! My new favorite pizza spot. Even my picky eaters loved it! We sampled the Margarita, Veggie, and the Pine & Swine and they were all delicious. We can’t wait to try the rest. The service was great, very friendly. We will definitely be back for more!

Pizza is good, people are friendly. I wouldn’t call this the«best pizza» ever, but it is good. Since our options are limited in SIlverton for decent pizza, they are sure to have a thriving business. I agree with Chuck B. in his sentiments: Good pizza, would totally get again, not one of the best pizzas in the Mid-Willamette Valley, but definitely the best in Silverton.

This is a new pizza cart opened in Silverton, OR, on March 17, 2012. It is INCREDIBLE wood fired pizza! It is by the slice or whole pie. I usually get a slice while I am waiting for my pie. All of the pizzas on the menu are great… I definitely recommend trying the Meat Special! I worked at different pizza restaurants while in high school and college, and I try pizza everywhere I go… This is some of the best I’ve had in a long time! Their hours are Wednesday-Saturday 11am-4pm and on the first Friday of the month 11am-around 9pm. PLEASE go check it out! Follow them on Twitter at @locogrinds
