The Home Place

Very poor customer service and follow up. Apparently has two much business and needs no more new business. Complained to manager and only excuses were offered for making customers wait for long time before getting menus and water. No Apologies were offered nore invitation to come again. Highly unlikely to come again.

I watched as the manager/​server freaked out on the working bartender upstairs because our party needed assistance with a transaction. The bartender was under trained (she told us) and needed help with the computer to fix our drink order. Instead of acting with any tact, the manager looked at us and told us she had a whole dining room to deal down stairs and then looked at the bartender and told her to figure it out. When you are understaffed and have an employee that needs you for more help, that is when you act like a manager– Kathy failed to do so and therefore I was charged $ 8 for a $ 3 drink.

Their pizza is to DIE for. I will have it every single time I come to town! If your wanting beer thats a little iffy, they dont know how to pour it, we got a lg pitcher of beer, literally half the pitcher was foam, and the kid was like, «I dont know what to tell you, I poured it». I told him he clearly doesn’t know how to pour beer and should at least bring us a small pitcher to replace the foam. It was to no avail. maybe we will just take the pizza to go next time!

Had a great breakfast, service was very good, food came so quickly I think they knew what I wanted before I did. Food portions are very generous and fresh. I have nothing bad to say about this place at all. I am looking forward to coming back and trying the pizza.

Best pizza I’ve ever had the hostess’s there are always very friendly and prompt with their help the pizza is always cooked to perfection and their ingredients are of high quality!

They have very delicious pizza and their chicken strip club is to die for. A definite must go to f9r anyone passing through the area

One of the best pizzas ever. Thin crispy tons of toppings. The crust is that kind with the big bubbles. Love love this pizza.

first time here. it wasn’t busy on a late Sunday afternoon in the dining room. one server for everyone was slow, slow, SLOW… so they needed one more to help out. they have a separate pizza dining area… so maybe will try their pizza in the future. menu is diner-​based, and BIG… five large pages. prices are super cheap, but as we came to find out, the portions are VERY small. my hubby’s philly sand was literally a child’s size. server also forgot his dinner salad, and asked if he wanted it off the bill. he said «no» and to still bring it. well, a healthy 15 minutes later, and after he had long finished his meal, it arrived. my greek salad was super small and all iceberg lettuce (as i figured it’d be, at a location like this). their onion rings were above decent, as they were the best part of the entire meal. atmosphere is really strange… and exterior needs a complete remodel/​paint job. like i said, we might be back to try the pizza one day… but that one day will probably be years away.

Great place for pizza. Breakfast all day. There’s two restaurants in one. One side pizza the other café and I forgot there’s a bar upstairs. Good food. Low prices (except for the pizza. Alittle high but the best in town).

We’ve tried this place a few times and there is definitely a learning curve on what is good and not good to order. First time we had burgers and thought alright these are pretty good, we’ll be back. There was no service though. We apparently sat on the wrong side. It was our first time so we didn’t understand the set up. Pizza side=no server. The next time we went, was ok. Ordered something a bit more exotic… a Reuben. Cheap low quality ingredients all around. Kids menu, definitely not worth it. $ 4.50 for a scoop of EZ mac and that’s it? Had breakfast in the bar once by myself. Not busy, but bartender was way too involved in her conversation to care about serving me. The breakfast food was good though. Had a couple of combo type pizzas a few times. Not very good ingredients. Canadian bacon was like bologna. Couldn’t eat it. Last night the girls shared a peperoni pizza that was quite good. My chimichanga was pretty scary. Think mini mart beef burrito with bloated side of rice and a blob of thick dry beans. Gross. We will keep going back though since there really aren’t other family diner style options in the area. This place has so much potential if they would start using higher quality ingredients and make a few things from scratch. Stick with the basics and keep it simple. Burger, peperoni pizza, breakfast and you will get an ok meal.

By far the best pizza around, AND they have a drive thru!!! I also like that they serve breakfast all day!

THIS PIZZA IS INCREDIBLE. Really out of this world. My dad called it «the meaning of pizza». But seriously the Barn Burner is our favorite. We live in WA and we have to get it every time we’re in town.

Amazing Pizza! Service can be slow and its pretty warm by the oven, but wow is the pizza good!

The waitress was nice. The food was ok, but nothing particularly special. The place was comfortable and moderately clean.

Many options for breakfast and very affordable. They have a traditional lunch/​dinner menu which has some good things on it but let’s be honest, the pizza is where it’s at!!! Thin, crispy crust, lots of toppings and perfectly cooked… yum!!!
Both dining areas are pretty loud and simplistic but the food is so worth it!

Recently had my first breakfast at The Home place and sorry to say I’ve had better food from a vending machine. Very mediocre taste as if no care went into preparation.
The server maintained a vichyssoise warmth the entire time I interacted with her and coffee refills were far between. Empty cups are not good. Neither did the others seem interested in keeping customers happy.
I don’t like writing negative reviews as I usually have excellent dinner experiences and the pizza is always good.
Happy customers leave better tips. I’ll stick to dinner time at The Home Place.

The Homeplace is our entire family’s go to pizza place! We have been going here for years and have never had a bad pizza.
This is the place we take out of town guests too when they request pizza and they are always as happy with it as we are.
The pizza is made with high quality ingredients and it shows in the finished product.
We occasionally eat in the main restaurant and the items from that menu are excellent also. Their breakfast menu is great and I love the Taco Salad and Burgers.
My only complaint is that recently they have had less than stellar phone service when calling in take out pizza orders. Seem to have some employees who are pretty out of it and they are the ones I have had to deal with the past three times we have ordered.
Hopefully they were just new employees who were learning the ropes.
Definitely a spot we recommend often!

They have good pizza. They use fresh ingredients and the entire family liked it. We had half veggie and half Greek. Their crust was crunchy, but not too thick-​it wasn’t a thin crust either.
The service was okay, but nothing special. We will be back.

Pizza, Pizza, Pizza! While that isn’t the only thing I have ordered from here I must bring your attention to how great it is! The crust on the pizza is amazing and crispy and there are plenty of toppings to satisfy you after only a few pieces (if you can stop eating it).
I’ve also had breakfast and lunch here and the food has always been good and consistent.

Home Place has good pizza– it’s not the best overall by far, but the best in this general area. And pizza is the reason to go.
You have two options when eating here, go right for a traditional sit down experience, go left to order from the counter and seat yourself. Though there’s a nice atmosphere in the sit down area, you can have a long wait. The standard fare is average, tasty but not blowing me away. There’s better places in Silverton for this kind of dining.
The pizza area is more spacious and good for kids and groups. Unless the place is jamming, you can get your pizza fairly quickly, and there are video games to play while you wait. The service isn’t that bad considering the staff are primarily teenagers.
So the restaurant gets 2 stars– I’d go to O’Brien’s for breakfast and the Creek Side Grill, Thai Delicious or Ixtapa for dinner.
The pizza side gets 4 stars– tasty pizza, timely served, decent service.
