Not the best place, I guess the food it’s ok but not for the prices. Place it’s not all that. Rather go to Cheesecake Factory then to eat here again.

We went for our quarterly ladies night dinner and was very happy with the food. We only ordered chicken nachos and a taco salad with shredded beef, but both were delicious. I will update my review once I return for the full dinner and drinks. The location can be a little difficult to get to during rush hour, but it is definitely worth the trip! 4 STars!

Food was really good but the table was pretty small and we didn’t see our server for a good 15 minutes. Will definitely go back but hopefully we’ll get a little better service.

The service was AMAZING here! Unfortunately, the food for me didn’t cut it. I got the Chile Rellenos which was okay, but maybe I just got the wrong thing. I heard their Fajitas were good!

Cozy, family oriented, great chips, watery salsa but still good, sometimes the servers may take a while but its only because its a little busy. The food passed the leftovers test; you know the test where you microwave it at home 2 days later, and I gotta tell you, it was finger licking good! The sangria was strong enough to get a smile out of you as well.

Excellent food! Great service. Friendly. Neat little place. Had fajitas, burrito and chili rellanos … All was excellent. Salsa was served warm, which was really good. Authentic. I’ll be back!

I’ve been coming to Samantha’s for the past several years, and they consistently deliver good Mexican-ish dishes. My preliminary gripe is the same that others have commented on: their parking situation leaves a lot to be desired, but they share a lot with a few other businesses and it’s not something they can control. My second gripe is that everything is super laden with cheese; I should start ordering asking for less. My favorite item on the menu is their seafood chimichanga; not deep fried/crispy like others incarnations, and one of the lighter entrees with respect with to cheese saturation. There are normally plenty of tables available, the room isn’t very large but doesn’t get too loud, and the staff is amiable. Unless things change(and they haven’t much in years) I’ll keep coming back.

This is a nice Mexican restaurant with good prices, service and food. try the taco salad. Great dressing and lots of yummy ingredients. The lomo saltado was perfect. The burritos received a rave review from my son Who is a tough reviewer. Huge portions of everything. The free chips and salsa were delicious, but be aware the salsa is warm. We will be back.

My family and I went to Samantha’s for lunch to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Unfortunately, everyone who ordered the steak ended up sick with the runs and/or an upset stomach. My youngest had a kids meal steak quesadilla and my older daughters had the steak and chicken combo fajitas. Our waitress was very good and friendly, however, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The service was good. I came here only because of all the positive reviews on Unilocal, but I was deeply disappointed with my meal. I ordered the ceviche mixto and it was probably the worst ceviche I have ever tasted! It was not fresh, super dry, had a weird texture, and I was forced to literally spit out my first bite. I ended up returning the meal and getting an enchilada just to play it safe. The enchilada was ok, although really bland. The Langley Park area def. has better options out there… they just have not been written about yet…

Very little disappointed tonight Zarzuela Andaluza — the meal was cold — noticed first off with the fries being stone cold — and I didn’t realize until I just now looked for the name of the dish that I saw the description — it was missing mussels and clams! They were nice about re-doing the dish but I was already full but ate it anyway. The rice and black beans were the best! It’s a more upscale El Salvadorian & Mexican-ish restaurant. In my past visits, the food was always very good. But I love this place and will continue to go whenever I can get up that way. Before leaving, I mentioned to one of the staff that I felt they could do much better on their after dinner mint choice and was told that all the customers like the mints;(Well NOT this customer!

This place was amazing. They brought salsa out with chips which was nice and surprising. The pupusas were good though. Most places leave them thin but these were very cheesy woth yummy cheese. Went during after lunch hours so the place was pretty empty which gave us good consistent service. Definitely will return here also.

Might be the best Cream of Crab you ever have! I also got the chicken salad– also really good. The food was so good, I ended up eating in my car outside.(So much getting it to go). I will hit this place up often! Be careful not to miss this place as it truly is a gym in a rundown area! The inside is fairly nice.

I came here with a party of 12 after my graduation commencement in College Park. My experience here is one of the many reason why I love Unilocal. Samantha’s Restaurant is small and so is its parking lot. It looks kind of crappy from the outside and it is definitely not a place I would have actively gone to on my own. I was scared I had made a wrong decision. But my fellow Unilocalers had my back. They sat us almost immediately. Chips and salsa were yummy. Everyone enjoyed their food. Margaritas were tasty(not watered down). The waitress did a good job with all of us. Overall, it was a great experience!

Their salsa is really really good– they serve a hot(as in warm) blended salsa with warm chips that knocks guapos out of the water any day. The beef Fajita is not only larger, but cheaper than guapos as well. The beef pupusa and accompanying pickled cabbage was absolutely fantastic– now that was the star of the show. It’s not the best pupusa I’ve ever had but it stands on its own. Now on the the negatives. The steak fajita is a tad too salty — I would not doubt this steak alone has 4x your recommended serving and I tend to enjoy salty. Truca frita not as amazing as it sounds– it’s pretty boring actually and is rather bland despite the assorted veg on top. Now the worstest worst which made me contemplate between a 3 and a 4– their booze is no good! Completely bland and minimal alcohol i instantly regretted ordering a half pitcher of mango margarita after the first sip. The whole reason why I even wanted to go here was for some margarita action towards the direction of ikea. Food and price is good but not good enough to encourage me to make the Trek to Samantha’s.

I have no idea what country makes enchiladas like this. It was as if they wrapped a thin tortilla around a giant block of cheese. I could only tell there was sauce used because the tortillas were a slighter shade of red than is usual, but rest assured, the only flavor was cheese-block. Served incorrectly with steamed white rice and black beans, instead of fried and pinto. Maybe it’s an El Salvador thing, I don’t know, Ive only known correct Mexican style dishes. In conclusion: if you like cheese-blocks, you’ll LOVE Samantha’s!

If I have friends or family coming from out of town and looking for a great dinner somewhere, I always suggest we go to Samantha’s. I’ve been at least 5 or 6 times, have lost count at this point. It’s SO good. Don’t let the outside fool you, this place is the real deal. It can be tough to find parking, but the food more than makes up for it! Everything about my experience, every time, has been amazing. Margaritas are great, love that you can get pitchers to split with your table(that aren’t too expensive!) They’re not top notch fancy pants, but still good and strong. Chips and salsa are extremely fresh, and the salsa has just enough kick to it. My favorites: — pollo asada in sherry wine glaze with caramelized onions and vegetables, comes with a little maduro on the side. WOW this sauce blew my mind, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. — brochette(pretty sure this isn’t on the menu anymore) — it’s 2 kebabs of steak, shrimp, and chicken, served with fajita vegetables and rice. YUM. — carne asada Other favorites, from friends and family: — pupusas — spinach enchiladas My dad had the zarzuela one time and thought the flavors weren’t strong enough, but it was still well cooked. Everything aside from that has been mind-blowing. I don’t think you can go wrong with literally anything on this menu. I still really want to try so many things! Especially the yucca con chicharron. Have also read great reviews about all the faijtas(especially the pork), masitas and chuleta de puerco… so many things! I’ve never made it through to get to dessert because we’re always so comfortably stuffed and happy from dinner! Just found out you can get carry out too!
