Layhill Community Free Methodist Church

I have only been attending this church since June, but I have felt very welcome and at home here since my very first visit. The people are very friendly and inclusive. The preaching is Bible focused. The worship is mostly contemporary, with a few favorite hymns occasionally thrown in.
Since I found this church via Unilocal,I thought I should pay it forward and perhaps help YOU find a church if you are searching for one. :-)

My wife and I started going about a year ago. This is a smaller group of under 200, very friendly and Jesus is always the main focus. Lots of ministry things to help with. The pastor is very approachable, open to your ideas and is not afraid to show that he is no better than the rest of us. They serve coffee and snAcks after service (free bit donations accepted) that gives you a chance to mingle. The singing is more modern with a drummer, bass, guitair and 3 or 4 main singers. Preaching is all bible based, good news, Jesus, sin, and life examples. This is not your fathers methodist church, to me it has more of a baptist feel without the Eternal security preaching. Always plenty of parking. Service starts 10am Sunday and lasts till about 11:30 then coffee is served till noon. Offerings are via baskets placed up front and you walk up there if you have a mind to. No plate passing. Peaple are a good mix based on the area, about 80% white 15% black 5% Asia /​Indian /​Latino. I think 32 nationalities are represented.
