l love this Office, l love Dr Brown-​Bryant, l love her Staff, Gaby and Ashley are so nice, they are like my sisters when l come in for my regular follow ups or whenever l call to ask any questions.
l have recently gotten damon braces and l’m still in the beginning stages of my 20month treatment. Dr Jaqueline is extremely well educated and is an expert at what she does. She is also very professional and lays down all of the information you need for your specific treatment and really leaves it up to you to decide what specific treatment you are comfortable with, no pressure or coersion. The good thing about her is she has a very personable side to her and my initail consultations leading up to my treatment never felt stiff or forced, it just seemed like l was speaking with a relative of mine who gave me all the facts and left to to me to decide what to do. The office itself doesn’t feel stuffy, quite the opposite, simple, with a TV, and quite comfortable with dim lights, (not those «medical bright light“s which usually make you feel nervous).l have been coming in here for 8months and it never feels uptight, just comfortable and perfect. l had previous consultations with three other orthodontists in another state where l lived but didn’t feel informed enough or comfortable with the dentists to go ahead with them. l would not have chosen another orthodontist for this journey if l were to do this all over again, l’m glad l found her.
To each their own, but this Doctor and this facility fits me and l love it. x

I just love everyone at Dr Jaqueline Brown Bryant’s office. It’s like visiting family! My boys have been going to her every month since April 2014 and they treat their patients with respect and compassion. This is not a rush you in rush you out place. She will explain every single thing and her assistance are extremely well informed and helpful. You could not ask for a better place to take your child if he or she needs braces. My boys and I interviewed several Orthodontists but once we met this group it was all over! They absolutely love going to get their braces realigned every month.

Bottom line is this: if you need or want orthodontic treatment, go to Dr. Brown Bryant. She’s the best.
I just finished the final phase of treatment with Dr. Brown Bryant, and everything I said is still every bit as true as when I wrote it two and a half years ago. Dr. BB is kind and knowledgable and caring. Her staff is welcoming and puts you at ease. The whole office cares about you as a person and a patient, not just as an income. Her dedication to overall health is contagious. Her prices are pretty standard for the area and her treatment is of the highest caliber. I feel grateful to have found Dr. BB as my orthodontist because she made the whole process so much easier for me. I am actually sad in a way that my treatment is done because I’m going to miss the wonderful people at this practice!
Getting braces at any age is 100% worth the investment and you can’t do better than Dr. BB.

If I could get this office negative stars I would. I’m currently in the process of fixing all the mistakes Ms. Brown Bryant made with my teeth with an amazing orthodontist in Los Angeles (notice how I couldn’t even stomach putting Dr. in front of her name).
Anyway to the facts — I was a patient of Ms. Jacqueline Brown Bryant between 2004 – 2008. Yes that’s right I had braces for 4 years and my teeth were NOT straight, not even close, when I took the braces off.
I truly believe that because I was the first in my family to need serious dental work that Ms. Bryant took advantage of me and my family. Not only did she over charge us, but over the course of my 4 years as her patient she continued to rack on the charges. She charged us for every little thing, on top of the negotiated monthly fee. And as my parents wanted my teeth to be straight, they tried to pay for everything she asked.
There were multiple issues with my teeth when the braces came off. The MAIN issue was the massive open bite that I had when she took the braces off. I didn’t realize HOW bad it was until the brackets were off. When I asked why my teeth weren’t straight she gave me the following excuses:
1. As I was on my way to college she felt it was time to take the braces off as I was moving to Los Angeles (WTF?! — my parents were willing to fly me home if that was need)
2. She said the bite would close down over time but would always be open and that I should be happy as my teeth were straightER than we we started (Isn’t that the Fing point of braces — to have COMPLETELY straight teeth?!)
3. She said that the fact that my teeth JUT forward (Google images of an open bite) that it would make my lips look bigger and that was attractive — As an African American female, I think I’m doing okay
4. She said that I COULD have had straight teeth but I would have needed to remove 4 teeth and my parents never consented — I there between the ages of 14 – 17 MY PARENTS DROVE ME TO EVERY APPOINTMENT if I needed to have teeth removed that would have been NO ISSUE with my parents — and over 4 years I think if she had mentioned that we would have remembered — teeth removal is the one thing that IS covered by insurance!
The next issue was the permanent retainer she put on my teeth after the braces were removed. Top AND bottom. The top retainer she installed, fell out. Yes you read correctly, literally FELL OUT of my mouth as I was enjoying dinner. When I went back she reinstalled the retainer but didn’t scrape all the old glue off instead just put more and more glue on, and I dont know why but she decided the bottom needed more glue as well. Every time I went to a dentist or anything they were HORRIFIED at the amount of glue on the back of my teeth. One dentist spent an hour scrapping off as much as he could without taking the retainer off. It took my new orthodontist TWO HOURS to scrape off all the glue and remove the retainers. She said she had no how I was able to live with such horrible retainers for 4 years.
Oh and why did I finally decide to take action? because the permanent retainers combined with my open bite were causing me major health problems and cavities. The permanent retainer was building up bacteria and causing me to get sick constantly, colds, stomach issues etc. The open bite makes your teeth push against each other and causes cavities.
Although its 2012 and I haven’t been a patient of Ms. Bryant for 4 years, I doubt she’s any more competent now than she was back then. (And when I was going her staff was clumsy and always making errors with my braces and pinching and nicking my mouth). — Ms. Bryant actually offered to fix her errors for free nice right? NO — to me that was just an admission of guilt — there was absolutely NO WAY I was going to let her touch my teeth again.
TAKE YOUR MONEY AND SPEND IT SOMEWHERE ELSE! — Now that I’ve graduated college and have a job and the money to fix my teeth I am finally getting the treatment that I and any other child/​teen/​adult deserve. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE — I wish I could do more than Unilocal

Pros: 1. Friendly Staff: I liked the fact that the folks who ran the front desk were very knowledgeable about the services provided and performed.
2. Easy Registration: Their online registration was simple, although very redundant in multiple areas of the questionnaire.
Cons: 1. Parking: Expect to pay for parking and walk about a block or two.
2. Redundant online registration: Their form needs to be auto-​populated and filled out on a secure web server (https).
3. Waiting Room: Small, compact, noisy. Overhead music in the customer waiting area was too loud and was set to a Spanish-​speaking station. No TV, no free Wi-​Fi.
4. Sugary snacks: numerous bowls situated around the office overflowing with Hershey’s Kisses. Bad form and unprofessional.
5. Used Car Salesman Tactics: Once they get you in the office as a new customer, be prepared to sit in their «educational room» to discuss their «new» braces. They have you watch this extensively, drawn out video about how great these new braces are and how you can get them taken off in half the time as traditional braces. What the «financial specialist» continuously avoids to tell you is that they don’t offer traditional braces, hence why they push you towards their expensive braces. When I asked her what the difference in cost was, she refused to directly answer my question. She focused on the «scare tactics» of getting traditional braces, which we already had, over these new ones. Again, she refused to directly answer or show me any comparisons between traditional braces and these new braces in costs, time spent on the teeth, or adjustment periods. I had to stop her mid-​sentence and ask her directly what the difference in cost was. Only then did she tell me they do not offer traditional braces.
6. Treatment Planning Conference: I was told it would take 12 months to complete Phase II of my daughter’s ortho work, yet when I was shown the «treatment plan» it went from 12 to 14. I told the financial specialist this was an unreasonable car-​salesman tactic to get me to pay more and longer. price still did not change.
7. Overcharging: I am only comparing their prices to what my daughter’s current Ortho charges, so I have no local price-​comparison example to give you. In my personal opinion, I firmly believe Dr. Bryant’s office to be overpriced by $ 3K. They failed to show me, or even offer, to continue my daughter’s traditional braces.
8. Recommendation: Go if you are a first-​time patient with no, one-​time paid ortho treatment caps with your insurance, but expect to pay more for their new, and only, braces they offer. I would not go if are looking to continue ortho care due to the limited availability of braces offered and the very high cost of reestablishing a treatment plan. Be direct when/​if you scrutinize their payment plan as it is not very well itemized and expect to pay a lot!

We wanted to get my 7-​year old daughters teeth on the right track, and Dr. Bryant has started her on the way. With lots of caring and attention, what could have been a seriously unpleasant process for all involved has been positive and encouraging. My daughter actually gets excited to go to appointments to show off her progress.
