Giant Supermarket

The bake shop are the rudest employees I have ever met! Every time I call, it’s an attitude. Don’t bother asking questions, it’s always to much to ask for them. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. They obviously dislike their job and asking them to lift a finger is too much for their job description.

You’re better off just not eating. This small, cramped, poorly stocked supermarket is sure to disappoint you. And god forbid you need something from the deli line. If you do, be prepared to wait half an hour.
Despite its prime location (you likely pass it as you leave the metro), half the stuff you want isn’t here. It’s consistently out of stock of lots of essentials.

Seriously! Pathetic effort to keep stocked, straightened and cleaned. Every time I go in it is a horror show! Lazy, unfriendly, dirty — just plain gross!

This Giant a pure mess! The deli area needs to be cleaned or updated! It still smell like fried hot dogs from two years ago when they had a fundraiser. Disgusting! Shop at Rockville or Wheaton most the best staff transferred.

Pharmacy:
Very long lines (15 minutes) most of the day. When the customer is finally served, invariably the refill order has been either lost or separated from its insurance info, so another 15-​minute wait is required while one cashier juggles three to five customers at a time. No privacy. Ridiculous!
Store:
On average, a 10-​minute wait in line for the self-​checkouts. Food selection is limited compared to nearby rivals.

I live in the district near Georgia and Piney Branch and would much rather drive to this Giant Supermarket location than shop at my neighborhood store. At Giant they have the hand-​held scanners and the lines exclusively for customers who are using these tools. The trip can be quick and painless. One area of improvement would be to keep the produce scales in working order. It seems they are often jammed or out of stickers. The staff is friendly and helpful. One of the better stores in the area.

I dislike shopping at this Giant. It’s small, crowded, and they choose to re-​stock shelves during busy times which causes traffic jams in the aisles. Going here is all about getting out as quickly as possible. I am regularly disappointed to find that they are out of stock of my favorite yogurt. I do appreciate that they send coupons in the mail since their prices are so high. If you are looking for value and a pleasant shopping experience, this is not the supermarket for you!
