Signal Hill has given us another nice, but rather small neighborhood park: Raymond Arbor Park. It’s on Raymond Ave between PCH&19th St, but is only accessible from 19th. This little park is just a third of an acre, but they packed the«right» number of things into this small space. There’s play area and swing set for the younger kiddos with a recycled rubber«floor» for softer landings. A short zig-zag walking path through the arbor and under a large tree, along with a few benches to sit and relax. Alas, no charcoal grills allowed because the park is so small and is placed between an apartment building and houses. There are also a few patches of grass, but none are big enough to toss football or a Frisbee. There’s a nice fountain too, but it’s not flowing this year due of this lovely drought we’re having. OVERALL: Another nice little neighborhood park, tucked away on a quiet residential street.
