Walgreens

I have patronized all the pharmacies in town, I think last time I counted there were 7. Of all of these pharmacies, Walgreens is the best hands down, their pharmacists are all extremely knowledgeable, courteous, patient, compassionate, and kind, especially Jamey and Michelle, but all of the girls here are exceptional! My scripts are always ready BEFORE they were promised, and are always correct, right down to the pill. The Walgreens staff has also gone above and beyond in helping me with my insurance company, doing anything possible so that I don’t have to pay one more penny that I have to. I see the other reviews on this page that are negative, I am very surprised at this, as I have NEVER had any of the issues that some of the others have listed. GREAT PHARMACY!!!

I would give no stars if I could regarding tonight’s pharmacy tech who was lazy to fill prescriptions that CVS would have filled if they had enough medication on hand. We normally have no problems with getting our prescriptions filled monthly, but it seems to depend on who is working the shift. The pain medication was needed tonight but the tech insisted that we have to pick it up tomorrow and was snooty when we returned when CVS didn’t have enough on hand. In fact, the tech said, «so I guess you want to pick it up tomorrow then?» After showing military ID, she questioned our insurance which is on file, Fed BCBS plan, that we have no issues with every month. This is poor behavior and customer service on their part. We spend lots of money in medications monthly, but after tonight, we are seriously considering going to another pharmacy in town. There are good pharmacists there and Didi is awesome as their tech.

This review is for the pharmacy only. I have had numerous problems with Walgreens in the 3 months since I have moved here. My prescriptions are not autofilled as requested. I have to call them all the time to get my prescriptions refilled. Today I dropped a written prescription off at 1100 and was told it would be ready by 1230. When going for pick up I was told they had no prescriptions for me. Holy cow!

Like most reviews (even filtered), the staff here is basically friendly. Most issues are with their pharmacy. Not sure how many times they have forgotten to put in scripts, misplaced scripts, and misfilled scripts. The main bonus is the convenience of a drive-​thru, but you’re going to be waiting most of the time whether you’re in the drive-​thru or in the store. Also noticing a lot of turnover with the staff, especially the actual pharmacists.
We do like Walgreen’s text alerts and smartphone apps for refilling scripts. But in the end, do not believe it outweighs all the negative experiences (We’ve chalked up a lot of issues in the past to new personnel and really wanted to see improvement, but there comes a point when enough is enough). Will probably finish out the calendar year with this Walgreens location and look for a new place come the new year.

Wait times for the pharmacy indoors and especially for the drive-​thru are completely unbearable! No effort seen by Walgreens management to fix this place, only continuing lip service. The prices for Rx’s are the highest in town as well. AVOID! I moved all of my Rx’s to Target. BIG DIFFERENCE! :-)
