Vinny’s New York Pizza

Finally tried the pizza. We got the Philly cheese steak and the chicken club. While the pizzas were good, we were disappointed that neither of them seemed to have any sauce. The menu should specify the sauce or if there isn’t any. Maybe it was olive oil or something, but they needed some kind of sauce, any sauce. Would like to go back and try a pizza with sauce.

Surprised me to find a legit New York style pizza joint in the desert. I myself am not a New York native, but my buddy calls Vinnys a very close reminder of his home.

The customer service here is just as great as the food! The delivery guy gave the best reaction to my daughter than any other delivery person, I request David (guy with a batman hat) every time I order from this place because of it. My daughter is only six months old and he not only acknowledged her presence but attempted to interact with her, despite her shyness to new people. The food was amazing! The presentation of the spinach ravioli was a little off putting but it was so delicious! The pizza was so fresh and made to perfection. The garlic bread was full of garlic (who doesn’t love garlic?!). They’re cheesy garlic bread has the perfect amount of cheese, garlic, and other spices; absolutely delicious! I don’t know if this place is family owned but the staff sure acts like it and they are always so nice and accommodating! I love this place!

Love the pizza, great subs, and Cajun bbq wings. Not all at the same time. Good value and good food. Employees seem to really care about you and how they prepare your food.

The restaurant has quite a history, from what I see in the massive wall mural, and it definitely has character, but since I’m rating strictly on the food, only 3 stars. The pizza is average. For Sierra Vista, and the Bisbee /​Douglas area, the pizza is good. Unfortunately, I’m not cutting restaurants any slack anymore for being the only game in town, or being the lesser dismal out of the crowd. Either the food is spectacular, or it’s average, or it’s bad. I’ve gone there 8 times, and every single time, their crust is not baked all the way through to the center, and the center ends up being mushy. In fairness, that seems to be a trend here in Arizona. Also, another running disappointment in this state, no character to the sauce. It tastes like everyone uses the same vendor and buys regular tomato sauce without adding any garlic, celery, fennel, other ingredients that other states use.

Decent food but service leaves something to be desired. The staff here always seems slightly annoyed to help you out. I mean, it’s a pizza and wings joint, I’m not expecting a server in a bow tie and cumberbund, but a little bit of courtesy would be nice when I’m placing an order. The pizza is okay. Nothing too exceptional about it, but it’s far from bad. The wings are great here, though. You’ll be hard pressed to find better wings anywhere else in town, and people who like their wings spicy will be pleased to know that Vinny’s will happily serve you nuclear fire wings that’ll melt your face off.

My wife ordered a garden salad. It was some lettuce with black olives and pepperoni… That’s not any garden salad I’ve heard of. Unawares, we walked in at 1:50. The guy said «I’ll be right with you» and at 2 he came to take our order. I wanted a slice of pizza. «Oops. Sorry, we stopped serving slices at 2». Are you kidding? So, I wanted a slice of pizza and some wings, and instead I got a full pizza and a $ 28 bill. Probably not coming back just due to the price and bad service. Too bad because the (non salad) food is good.

Hands down the best pizza in town, not really any other pizza joints lol. Honestly Vinny’s has a good selection with some good variations on some favorites.

I will never go to this rat hole again. We call to order pizza and wings for the Super Bowl. I place the order and ask to get the order at 3:00 PM. I am told to cone in at 2:30 because they are busy. I am there minutes before 2:30 and pay. I am told that our meal hasn’t been started, but they will rush it out. Low and behold, other phone orders are processed as other patrons arrive. When they are questioned, all that happens is the ridiculous staff working are making comments about us and the manager refuses to correct their staff. The pizza is low quality and I would encourage people to get their pizza meals elswhere. Professionals do not treat customers the way this place does.

We love their white pizza and wings. Their pizza’s haven been always good. Great service, fast! The place and Restrooms are always clean!

I like Vinny’s. They’ve been round for a while and maintain their consistency. Occasionally they will have a new pizza featured but you can always count on some good food for a great price. The have great weekly specials. You can also call ahead to save you some time. An individual can eat here for under $ 10 which is amazing these days. Come check this place out. I am sure you won’t be disappointed.
I know they say NY in their name and yes it’s not true NY pizza. I know, I lived there. But it’s still great tasting food and friendly service.

This review is for the pizza and the mild buffalo wings. I ordered takeout and drove, so I can tell you nothing of ambiance. What I CAN tell you is that they are PUNCTUAL. They quoted 30 mins for a large pizza, two small pizzas and 20 wings. It was ready exactly on time.
We had a large veggie, a small bacon/​pepperoni/​sausage on bbq base (my hubby’s favorite at any pizza place), and a salami small. Partnered up with a batch of mild buffalo wings, this meal was a hit! Veggie pizza had small pieces of fresh veggies on a white sauce. It’s square cut, so some pieces didn’t have crust. The custom bbq pizza was approved by my hubby, who noted that the sauces on the pizzas were pretty light.
The wings were crispy (I hear this depends on the cook) and covered in a mild sauce that even the kids devoured. Overall, approved by my friends and family!

Ordered my favorite pizza, ham w/​bacon… these mofos bring out my pizza with SANDWICH HAM slices and bacon… what the heck is that? Seriously, they took a slice of ham (looks like one of those rectangular Oscar Myer chopped ham that you can buy at the grocery store)…cut it in half and laid one half of the ham on each slice!
My how the mighty have fallen, ever since Vinny died this place just hasn’t been the same. I gave them two stars because the fried ravioli was pretty good even though I’ve had better Totino’s pizza.

When they say «New York Pizza» they mean upstate… way upstate… like almost Canadian.

Quality of pizza is awful! More like cardboard with tomato sauce. Locals I know seem to have a lower standard for pizza than me. The meatball sandwich is all I eat. The only decent pizza in this area is in Bisbee.

Vinny’s is still one of my family’s favorite places to eat in town. Even after Vinny has passed, they are kicking out the same great food and service we expect. There are not many places in town you can get both exceptional service and food but it’s a guarantee here.
My wife and I always get a garlic bacon and onion pizza with hot wings! The kids share the ziti or chicken parmesan pasta. There is beer on tap and pool tables for some pre or post food fun.
You’ll find me here about once a week, trying to eat within my diet! Make sure to give this place a try!

This place is great. The staff is always friendly and the food great. Their Sunday night dinner deal is a ganga!

Decent prices and great food! In the two weeks we’ve lived in SV, we’ve eaten here three times.
The pizzas are great; had both the buffalo chicken ranch, and the BBQ bacon cheeseburger. Both were delicious. Most importantly: the crust is awesome. They said it’s made in-​house, and the taste definitely shines.
We’ve also gotten the wings; the Cajun BBQ and the Medium. Again, both were great. The medium wasn’t super spicy, so if you’re looking for a kick, go up a notch. The Cajun BBQ was sweet with a small kick. The wings were juicy and fresh. Nothing that had been sitting around all day. A great place to feed your wing cravings!
Last, we’ve also ordered the subs. They were awesome! Great for lunch or dinner– as they’re pretty big.
Overall, I’m very happy we found this place. The food is always fresh, the place is clean and the staff is helpful and quick. Definitely much better than your average pizza joint. You can tell this is a hometown favorite!

I was looking for something different in this small city. So I hit up Vinny’s for some pizza and got more than I bargained for.
I went inside and ordered to go at the counter. The place was packed; very alive. Definitely a family friendly place, but somewhere fun to hang out with friends as well. The gentleman who took my order was patient and allowed me to figure out what I wanted. I figured I’d go with my favorite toppings, which just happened to be «Vinny’s Special:» Pepperoni, Italian sausage, onions and cheese. While waiting for my pizza, I noticed all kinds of great looking food headed to dine in tables so I know there’s plenty more to try.
I had to make a few stops before getting my pizza home but you couldn’t even tell. The pizza was still fresh and cheesy, and it tasted pretty dang good! I can tell eating inside is probably better so you can get your food fresh out of the oven. I was very impressed and made sure to keep the menu close because I know my family and I will be back to try more; especially the wings.
Definitely the best pizza I’ve had in this city, and I’ll be back for more pretty soon. Only reason why I shorted it one star is because it’s definitely not NY style, but it’s easy to overlook that part once you taste it.

Vinny’s is the standard for pizza and wings in Sierra Vista. Well even Cochise County!
Even though the choices are slim to choose from in the area, I am happy that there is an establishment such as Vinny’s to accommodate the cravings of New York style pizza and authentic Buffalo wings.
Round pizzas are small, Large pizzas are square. Wings are crispy and tasty and are offered in a variety of flavors to choose from, including mild, hot, extra hot, suicidal hot (which gets a Polaroid of your likeness on the wall of fame) BBQ, Gold & Tangy and others. Celery and carrots are included along with ranch or bleu cheese dressing.
Additional food options are sandwiches, both hot and cold, that span the usual turkey or ham or beef or all the above to capicola and hot offerings such as eggplant parmesan, chicken parmesan or meatball on white sub rolls dressed just how you like.
Also available are beers on tap, self-​serve sodas and speciality pizzas.
Consistent, tasty, a good place for the family, large group, or gathering, and a place you’re likely to see someone you know, Vinny’s fits the bill for a local eatery that deserves your patronization. For years Vinny has supported the local community as well as local charities, and that continues today, even though Vinny is no longer with us — and that is reason alone to support this great business!
When you think pizza, beer, wings, or sandwiches for lunch, dinner or take-​out, think of Vinny’s Pizza.
