My daughters were patients of Dr. Patel before we moved out of town three years ago. Today I received an automated phone call reminding us to schedule for immunizations, etc., before school resumed. I thought I’d be helpful in letting them know that we should be inactive in their system. I waited through the 5 minutes of phone menu and then, when asked if I would hold, was hung up on. I called back and was again asked if I could hold. I said no, and that I had just been disconnected the last time. I explained that, if she could just write my daughters’ names down, all I needed was for them to be inactivated. She sighed and said again that she needed to put me on hold, and that it had been very busy. I replied that being busy was no excuse to throw common courtesy & customer service out the window. I was then hung up on. I want to be clear that I’ve worked in her same position. I’ve done phones & customer service my whole career. I did not raise my voice or get nasty. For trying to help them out, I got treated rudely treated and repeatedly hung up on. We never had issues w/Dr. Patel, but his office staff is a reflection of him and his judgment. I was appalled today & know there are other people out there that want employment and are willing to bring more than minimal effort to the table.

My children having been going to Dr. Patel for 3 years now. We absolutely love him and his NP, Brenna Petro. They are incredibly caring, friendly, and practical. They have a great staff, and I’ve never had an issue making an appointment. I’ve had to use the after hours phone service once and was called back promptly by Dr. Patel.

Booked an appointment, they got me in pretty quickly from the day I called, the Dr gave me a referral for what I wanted, his staff is amazingly on top of things and I love the patient portal. Best pediatrician in town, bar none, and I go to see many doctors for my little guy.

Really the best in Sierra Vista area. Staff are patient and kind. Dr. Patel is always calm. I love the computerized system they moved too. No more lost prescriptions, they just transmit them straight to pharmacy. They always find time to work in my son’s allergy shots without any notice. Dr. Petro is friendly well informed and educated. Especially for new parents these guys will do everything they can to see you at ease and make sure you know what’s going on. You can also pay online!

My four sons live their lives oblivious to bodily concerns. Ah, youthful invincibility is a fanciful mindset! Sporadically, reality roars in, momentarily disturbing their super human capabilities. Dr. Day Patel is a very calming, caring force in these, increasingly frequent moments of need. He is the most patient doctor I’ve ever visited, attentively listening to random, nonsensical ramblings of my injured young ones. His Indian accent is interesting to navigate, but he’ll steadily repeat or rephrase until understood. A fabulous, recent addition to Patel’s office is Brena Petro, an extremely attractive blonde nurse practitioner. All of my sons love her, a lot, probably even more than I do, but, umm, yeah, differently. She embodies feminine nurturing, synonymous with that of legendary Florence Nightingale. When she enters the room, bam!, my son’s entranced brain fumbles for what ails him. It’s pretty cute, and then, I get a few fun moments, on our way home, playfully teasing him about the magical effect of beautiful Nurse Petro.
