A very nice family run establishment with a great selection of meats including marinaded cuts for things like carnitas and carne asada. All the basics you need to get your Mexican menu on track. Also, the prices on the meats are very good. Worth a trip, and they have some bulk meat package deals that are pretty good as well.

Nice selection of Mexican items, chips, salsa, condiments, soda, breads, cookies, candy, etc. Also lots of meat, some seafood, fruits, and vegetables. Some of the meat is average while some is very very good, and the prices are great. Fresh stuff delivered regularly. Worth a stop.

Carniceria: [singular, noun; car-né-thay-ree’-ah(Catalan)] 1. Meat Market 2. Butcher 3. Specialty Grocer Three other iterations of this store hail from Tucson and we have our own version here to enjoy. Marinated meats, fresh produce, condiments and supplies are all found here. The store contains an extensive meat counter, a fresh produce cooler, beverage cooler and three or four isles of grocery items. The main reason to visit La Noria is the flavorful meat selection. The al Pastor(pork marinated in peppers, onions, pineapple and spices) is just Yum! The Pollo Asado and Carne Asado are equally good. Lining the front of the meat case is an array of flour and corn tortillas in all the appropriate sizes. My current favorite is the La Noria brand: thin and almost translucent with an authentic flavor. Over in the refrigerated cooler section you will find fresh peppers, onions, guacamole, beans and various types of fresh salsa both green and red to round out your meal. Stroll down one of the isles and pick up some cacahuates(Mexican peanuts) or find supplies to make your own tamales; in fact La Noria offers a whole«kit» with all the ingredients to make tamales. Peek in the small helado freezer to see what interesting flavors they have such as cucumber chile or the ever tasty coconut. So, when the mood strikes and you are wanting to create your own authentic, tasty Mexican food spread at home, stop, pick-up tall the ingredients and fire up the grill for some serious good eats. Reasonably priced, convenient and friendly, I can recommend stopping here for authentic south-of-the-border flavors where you can be the chef. Rating: 4 stars. Hopefully they will start grilling their meats and roasting chilies outdoors in the future. If they do, they will definitely become a five star business!
