Was happy to find a place that actually had vegetarian french onion soup — it was delicious. I also got the caprese panini, which was tasty. They had a large menu with many healthy food options, additionally the salad bar looked great. Would go back just to try that. Service was quick and friendly. Good spot for a nice healthy lunch or dinner.

The food is really pretty decent, but they always mess up our order or take forever for the food or don’t have things ready for pickup when they are supposed to. The people who work there are also generally curt and/or rude. The managers are nice, however, and I will give them credit for offering up free stuff when they have made mistakes. So, in summary, eat here for decent food. Just don’t be surprised when your order is wrong or a wait staff rolls their eyes at you.

I always get the pollo mexicana(baked potato). It’s delicious. I gave them for stars because the women that check you out aren’t always the nicest. Other than that they are pretty good.

I love Jason’s Deli and like many other places in the U.S. I wish they had more than one location in the Shreveport — Bossier area. I know that many restaurants around have starting cutting back and either raising the prices and leaving the portion sizes the same or cutting the portion size and raising the prices, doing both or whatever. But several things that Jason’s have chanced that me as a consumer is NOT pleased with. I still give them my business because of several reasons however there are countless changes that I’m not pleased with. If you ask me, I’d gladly tell you, there are just way too many to list here now and I have my food sitting in front of me waiting to be devoured. Inbox me and if you want, I’d gladly spill the beans, just that right now, I’m hungry and my nose is smelling the goodness and I’ll be eating my thumbs if I don’t hurry up and eat.

I’ve always been a fan of Jason’s Deli. The food is always good, the people are pleasant and hey, free ice cream! But how do they fare as fast as safe for someone with Celiac? Before giving my to-go order I asked to speak to the manager. I already had the gluten-free menu pulled up on my phone, but I wanted to make sure there wouldn’t be any cross-contamination. They had a tough time locating their own GF menu and I was thankful for my phone. Anyway, David(the manager) was great. He listened to my concerns and showed me the purple allergy kits they keep on hand to help prepare food for someone like me. He said he would personally make my salad. I was very grateful to him and I watched as he carefully put together my salad. At one point, I saw him go over to the salad bar for the lettuce. I cringed, but I didn’t mention anything. Perhaps I was being paranoid about cross-contamination. After all, I was still new at this. So my salad was prepared with care and I skipped out a happy customer. Until about an hour after I had eaten. I had most definitely been glutened. And I know exactly how– even the tiniest crumb can wreak havoc on the body of someone with celiac. 20 parts per million is the guideline to stay under. I imagine someone had added more lettuce to their plate that had croutons on it and touched a croûton with the tongs. Or something like that. I don’t think this was David’s fault at all. Not many people really know about Celiac. But in the future, I now know to request lettuce from a new container.

I love this place! Prior to living in Shreveport I thought that jasons deli only made subs, but I was wrong. I have been to this location and each time I was pleased with the service and quality of the food. The first time I got the managers special with gumbo and a turkey tom sandwich. The gumbo is very delicious, one of the best ones I have ever had. The turkey sandwich is also amazing. They put it on some type of onion bread and has avocado and a decent amount of turkey. Everytime I go there I continue to get the same meal because it is so good. One time i went there the lady who rang us up came by the table with a free sample of a different type of soup. She was extremely friendly and genuinely cared about our experience. They have many different items to choose from on the menu, and they also have a nice salad bar and free ice cream! This is an awesome resteraunt and I recomend going here for a nice decently priced lunch.

Came here for lunch with my mom on our last day in the city. I absolutely loved how there was a selection of vegetarian foods :) It was on the busy side since we came in at noon, but the staff were friendly and very helpful.

Ok so I visited Jason’s Deli again tonight, and decided that I wanted a salad. Amazing choice in toppings for a single bar salad bar — real bacon, etc. The one thing that struck me completely off guard was when I asked an employee about the dressings. None of the dressings are marked at the salad bar, and several of the white ones look almost the same. I asked, with these exact words, «Ma’am, which one of these is Caesar?» The employee looked puzzled, and pulled out a bottle of Italian dressing and a bottle of vinaigrette and stared at me. I’m all for giving opportunity for everyone, but the person stocking the salad bar should very clearly understand the difference between Caesar and Italian dressing or at least be able to read the labels. It was a combination of that and the fact that choosing a salad dressing amounted to a gamble on my part that struck me as odd for a place that had a separate checkout for the salad bar. Also the cheddar cheese was randomly separate from the other cheeses in placement on the bar, and actually the placement of anything on the salad bar was random at best. Luckily I happened to choose the dressing that I wanted, but I might have been inclined to try something else had I known what was actually there. It would pay to label the dressing at the salad bar, and thats a fact absent to the management. The soft serve is always a nice touch too, had like eight ice cream cones.

Been on a bit of a sandwich bender lately… don’t know what the deal is. And then something very serendipitous happened yesterday around lunchtime here on Unilocal. In Houston, a Unilocal buddy, a Jade C. of Houston checked into her local Jason’s Deli with a pic of her half Panini and chicken pot pie soup, and at that exact same moment, several miles and states away, another Unilocal buddy, a Howard L. of Chicago, checked in, also from his local Jason’s Deli with his half Reuben and chicken pot pie soup. Okay, I will accept this as a signal. A sign. What’re the odds? Their sandwiches and that chicken pot pie soup looked outstanding! So today, I ordered online, before local opening hours(and they open at 10am on Sundays here locally) I ordered a TON of stuff for me n the fam. I ordered 2 cups of soup: the aforementioned chicken pot pie with a deliciously flaky pastry in accompaniment(See my pics here on Unilocal! You can’t resist!) the amazing, seasonal soup sweet potato and pork, phenomenal! I also ordered a New York Yankee sandwich(has both pastrami and corned beef and tons of both! For my wife, I ordered the chicken salad with organic field greens and organic spinach and I also ordered her a chocolate chip cookie. Our two year old bebe girl, got a little bit of everything. It was all exceptional and tasty! We LOVED it. Being takeout, it rang up at about 28 bucks, and the store was actually open before 10am, when I arrived. AWESOME!!! I like the décor of the interior, though I did not stay. Very true to the larger, more famous and touristy New York delis that I have seen. I must apologize to Jason’s Deli. I always kinda associated them with office boxed lunches, because it seems like everywhere I’ve ever worked in my life, at some point, they order out en masse and it’s these boxed lunches with like, a ham sandwich, chips and an apple or something. Boxed lunch. Boxed office. Boxed life. Ick. And this place, it’s soooooooo much more than that. I sold ya short, JD, and for that I apologize. Your soups and sandwiches are very tasty!

I love the Club Royale. Yum! I wish we had a Jason’s Deli back home. I visit every time I’m in town and I see they’ve recently made some changes. Changing the front line so that you order and pay upfront(rather than order, slide down the line, then pay) was a mistake because it slows the whole line down. This place is always busy during meal times, the line to order can be outrageous(as in to the back wall and snaking through the tables), and seating is at a premium. The pros: Tasty food, free soft-serve ice cream, salad bar. The cons: Noisy and crowded(which results in service being slow). Tip: If you are with a party, send someone to snag a table while you stand in line to order. They bus the tables quick but sometimes you need to stalk them while they do it just to get a table.

I’m working in the area and didn’t know many places to eat around here, being my first time, but I came across this little Deli and decided to give it a try… Wasn’t expecting much but I ordered the Amy’s Turkey-O Sandwich and cup of Chili… The workers were really nice, but what I noticed most was, I watched them make the food including my sandwich, and you see them make it with such care and love… They don’t just rush and throw ingredients together… And when they were done, they had presentation food ready for a commercial shoot! The funny thing is, there’s nothing really different about what was in the sandwiches, but you can really taste the love that was put into it and it honestly makes a huge difference! It was bliss and I’m not a huge sandwich fan… I’ve been there 3 times now and it’s been great each time! I’ve had the Chili, Chicken noodle soup, Amy’s Turkey-O, And the Turkey wrap — all good! Today I went in and they even had free Ice cream cones — which put a smile on my face before braving the extreme heat here… =D

I’ve been to this place twice now since I’ve moved to the Springs and it was pretty good. I liked the one in Shreveport also. The last time I went I got there salmon samwich and it really wasn’t that good but my g/f enjoyed her meal. She usually gets the manager special and really enjoys it. The previous time I went I really enjoyed the meal I had though. They also have many healthy options which I like. There menu seems to change every once in while and keeps it fresh.

I havent been to this place since I lived in Shreveport about 13 years ago. I never really cared for it back then but I wanted a sandwhich place tonight and Jasons was the perfect fit. As far as selection goes, you cannot go wrong. They have any type of sandwhich you’d want(for the most part) and more. The salad bar is a good option and the loaded potatoes make for good options as well. I got some sort of wrap that was pretty decent that came with chips and salsa. It was an above average meal for a good price(like 6 or $ 7). I really cant complain about any of it. I’d recommend this place for take out especially. You wont spend too much money and the food should be above average.

This review is for the take-out option only. I have not been here in a long time, and my parents stop in every now and then. Food is decent: sandwiches, salads, soup, etc., and it is a good place if you have a good size hungry group. The basic concept to this place(like most sandwich joints) is you go up to the counter and order. Pay, and then you either wait at the other end of the counter or sit to have your order taken to your table. Last Sunday afternoon, my family and I decided to get some food to go. My brother went to up to the counter since there was no one at the separate ‘To Go’ counter. It was pretty busy that day, and it was sort of expected that we’d be waiting about 5 – 10 minutes longer than normal. We had no idea that we would be waiting as long as we did, esp. for only 2 sandwiches. Yes, we were waiting for only 2 sandwiches. About 4 people behind us had ordered take-out, and they received their food BEFORE we did. My brother & I were growing impatient, and it had been about 30 minutes since we ordered(I checked. My parents had even fallen asleep in the car). I am not complaining, and I am sure someone else would have been complained to someone there. We did not, but it was just a bit ridiculous that we waited that long. Oh well. I am sure we will be back but not right away.
