I’ve had nothing but good experiences from this Gateway location so far and I’ve been there several times for new tires, flat repairs, and alignment. I even shopped around for riding mower tires and found them to have the best deal. I will say I have been to other Gateway locations in this area and will only use this location on Mansfield Rd. What stands out for me is: — I feel they are honest with me and do not try to charge me for something that doesn’t need to be done. — They do not charge for flat tire repairs even if you purchased the tires elsewhere. — They are always friendly and outgoing, especially one guy. I want whatever happy pill he is on. –They have free coffee and popcorn. :-) They tend to stay very busy because most people who use them once keep using them. They treat their customers fairly. However, the drawback is wait time. They take customers in the order received. You may have a very quick job but they aren’t going to move you to the front of the line. I am probably shooting myself in the foot saying this because it might cause me to wait longer… nah, who’s gonna read my review… get there a little before they open at 7 am if you plan to wait for your car to be repaired and you shouldn’t have to wait long. Get there a couple hours later and you will probably need to tack on 3 hours to your wait time.

Gateway provides outstanding customer service and the staff are all very polite and helpful. Regardless of what you’re having done expect it to take several hours and plan accordingly. If all you need is a quick oil change or tire rotation you may want to go elsewhere. This is even if you make an appointment. They provide great service but they really need a dedicated person for the quick jobs. Your vehicle goes at the end of the queue when you get there regardless of what you’re having done. It shouldn’t take hours and hours just for an oil change or other quick job.

So there I was, tuesday morning, coming out of church(yup, there’s more than Sundays in some parts), and my left side tires were, once again, really low. Happened on Sunday too, but i figured adding air(4 quarters worth!) would fix it. it didn’t, and i had a 2.5 hour drive ahead of me(to Leesville). Somebody recommended Gateway, So, after another 4 quarters at a nearby convenience store, I found Gateway(thank you, Unilocal). They took me right away and about 35 minutes later, they called me to the front desk where I was prepared to pay whatever they chose to charge. Instead, the guy there, «Gary» said, «No charge» I have since found that their policy is to not charge for fixing flats, but I choose to believe that going to church(first time in years on a day other then Sunday) had something to do with it! That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it!

Thought they were a good company. Complimentary nitrogen for the tires, balanced my tires for free. So I returned to purchase a full set of tires. None of them were new Tire stickers were present on the tires and they didn’t smell new. A couple hundred miles later both left side tires blew. Ordered two more from the shop delivered to me and installed. The tires were new this time with smell and stickers. The price I paid for was higher than what was quoted on the phone. Won’t ever return for business here again…

Everyone was really friendly the wait was a little long but they were super busy and in the end the didn’t charge me anything to fix my flat. So all in all I think they are superior.
