Staff is excellent, food is good and it’s really relaxed and fun there. It’s newly expanded and has a real English pub feel. The burgers are the best and they know how to pour a Guiness.:)

Food was very average. Beer selection above average. I would not eat here again, but would stop in for a pint anytime.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Three Lions for being so wonderful!!! We live very close, and this one of my go-to places. Our most recent visit was on Valentine’s Day. Our initial plan for brunch fell through so I called Three Lions and the man who answered the phone was so kind as to tell me about all their specials of the day(they were offering a special brunch menu). We arrived shortly after my phone call and there was plentiful seating. There were several people there, including a group sitting at the bar having a lot of fun playing dice. They were quite entertaining and cheerful. The menu included pretty much exactly what we wanted, and ordered the chicken and biscuits. I opted for syrup instead of the sausage gravy. They brought out an awesome container of syrup for me! We explained how the previous restaurant we tried to dine at was out of potatoes, and the waiter and the kitchen staff was so fabulous they made us sides of English breakfast potatoes. All the food was perfect — whatever they batter the chicken in is heavenly. The biscuits(you get 2) were perfect, and I had my eggs scrambled and they were top notch. It was just awesome, amazing, and delicious! We were so, so happy :) I definitely want to return and see what they offer on their normal brunch menu. I tell all my friends about Three Lions and recommend them all the time for food and fun. Keep being awesome and wonderful, and I’ll see you soon! :D

Good atmosphere, Sunday brunch of pancakes hit the spot as well as a couple of good local beers on tap. Beer prices were good and food prices as well. Staff were really friendly and were really good to work with. If you are in Shorewood stop in for a pint and a bite to eat.

I visited this pub on a Thursday evening with my two young sons. I am British, so was looking forward to a meal that would remind me of home and I was not disappointed. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, and service was very prompt. Our server, Hannah, was lovely. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the food arrived, especially as my kids were fractiously hungry… The boys had the kids’ fish and chips and cheeseburger. Both were excellent. The chips in particular were great. I had the stuffed Yorkshire pudding which was also very tasty and authentic. As a non-beer drinker, as I was pleased that there was a range of cider and perry available. We ended the meal with the sticky toffee pudding, which was just divine. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and I felt totally welcome, despite the fact that we were the only family with kids in the place. The children were given a children’s menu with activities and crayons for coloring. 10⁄10!

Very friendly bartenders and servers! I had the fish n chips, very good. My boyfriend had the hunters chicken, which he thought the chicken was a wee bit dry but still good.

Having just moved back to Milwaukee from across the pond, I was delighted to find this gem in my neighborhood. I’ve only been here once thus far, but the vibe was so welcoming and the beer, just what I needed after moving all day. I shall be back(when I make sure to leave points in my daily weight watchers budget; tasty Spanish wine added some pounds to my arse when I was abroad). :)

If I’m in Shorewood and want to grab some quick bar food, this is my first choice. It has a friendly and laid back atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and have always given me recommendations for new drinks that are delicious. The bar food is also great. I love having a tray of chips with a side of their house curry and a pint of Old Speckled Hen. Their scotch eggs are pretty great, they make me wish more bars had them. Give them a chance, you’ll be glad you did.

Great food. The Poutine is off the fucking chain. The servers all have European accents and that’s a cool touch. Service is great(at least if you sit at the bar, I wouldn’t know about table service…). They are a huge sports bar, particularly soccer, as they should be, and I enjoyed having the world cup playing when we visited. Will be back again.

Went here for Harry Potter trivia. It was my first time going there, and I can say that it won’t be my last. Despite it being packed to the gills, our waiter who was working double time, was still wonderful, and check on us every 20 minutes or so. I had a basket of chips with malt vinegar, and a drink. Came to about $ 12 in total. The chips were nice and hot, and wonderful! The drink was not overly strong, which I didn’t mind as I was driving. Wonderful atmosphere! A great place to hang out with friends!

Their cheese curds are the best I have ever had! My mouth is getting watery now that I recall it. A fun place to go to watch sports, including soccer and be among other dedicated fans.

This is my go-to bar. The major plus is the huge bar. There is always seating even on really busy nights. Often they have live music. The bartenders are friendly. Most have British accents. They always seem to offer free shots when we are about to leave. Update: they are under staffed. Be prepared to wait to have your order taken. My friend and I have been waiting to order another round for 30 minutes. They took the empty glasses… ehh awkward.

What? The hummus disappeared from the menu?! Still, a nice place for a beer and relaxing with friends.

Go in, order a Guinness and a shepherd’s pie and you’ll leave satisfied. I’ve always had awesome food and drinks here. The bartenders are great, and the wait staff are friendly.

This place has earned every star. Even after a single experience I can’t recommend it highly enough, and I can’t wait to go back. I hopped in here with my ladyfriend who has been hugely enthusiastic about Three Lions. She’s something of a xenophile and would talk up this place in Shorewood that was«British person approved» in her words. Last night I finally got the chance to check it out. The staff is extremely friendly. Actually, every single person that we interacted with was truly genuine and ready to accommodate. The food: outstanding. It’s not terribly fancy stuff: burgers, fish and chips, savory British pies, but it’s executed so well. I had the fish and chips – it’s reminiscent of traditional Wisconsin Friday fish fry of course, so I knew what to expect and I got it. The fries are thick cut and hearty. Even the mushy pea side had a really fresh flavor. I also sampled a bit of my partner’s cottage pie, it was similarly excellent. The atmosphere is perfect. They’ve not made half-measures in creating the illusion of an English pub, but the place isn’t full of kitsch either. They’ve struck that middle ground. I also want to point out that the noise level is also great; the music is at a level where you can hear it and make out the songs you recognize but you’re not shouting over it to speak, and neither is anyone else. It’s a weird thing to mention, but it’s one of those odd things I noticed. Also, there’s a treasure hidden at at least one of the tables. I’m not going to say any more on that. I’ve been a little wishy-washy about some of my ratings in the past, but on this one I feel very solid: five stars all the way.

This review is based solely on the atmosphere and drinks. I didn’t try the food, which have heard is good. I accidentally stumbled on this place on a Friday afternoon on my way somewhere else, and decided to have a beer. Their beer selection was really small and unimpressive. Nothing exciting, maybe 1 or 2 good options in my opinion. What I really didn’t like was the atmosphere. It was super dark, and felt really old and sort of «basement-ish». It also smelled like there was a giant college party the night before and they cleaned it up the spilled beer with vinegar. Not sure what that was about, but it was pretty gross. On a more positive note, the bartender was super friendly! I wouldn’t totally refuse trying their food some day if someone I was with wanted to go, but I definitively wouldn’t choose it.

Wings, 3 long islands, 4 beers, 2 shots = $ 65.00!?! Not a good place for the average college student to get some drinks. Wings were below average, alcohol was good, bartender was helpful, just way too pricey for my pocket.

Liked it so much I went back! This time I tried the Cornish Pasty and Mash. WOW! Even better than the Shepherds Pie! The Patsy was so light and fluffy. Located on top of a bed of mashed potatoes, seasoned beef and veggies. You have to try it! Oh yeah… Had another Toffy Pudding too!(Thanks for the coupon Unilocal)!

Three Lions Pub is and will be my place to go to watch soccer. I have friends that rave about Nomad but, at least to me, this place trumps Nomad. I’ve been coming here for the past 2 – 3 years and I’ve watched them grow into the establishment that it is today. Which obviously includes adding a breakfast menu and renovating the interior. It’s a lot more spacious. Parking can be a pain but it can’t be worse that Brady Street parking. So, I’m not going to hold that against them. The price for their food is appropriate and the food isn’t bad for a bar. The patrons are an even mix of first timers and regulars. Often there are kids here Saturday morning cheering on their favorite team with their family. Waiters and bartenders are nice and their English accent does give it an English pub feel(as it should). All in all, it’s a great pub to relax and watch soccer and engage in a friendly conversation with a total stranger about soccer. And if you don’t know anything about soccer, well… you could start learning here! :)

First off, ask for Kayleigh to be your server. I think that’s how she spells her name – at the very least it’s the phonetic spelling… But I have had two other servers there and neither can compare to her. Call ahead to make sure she’s working. A few things of note: 1. Best scotch eggs I have ever had, even better than the Duke of Devon in Sheboygan. They’re sublime and hearty simultaneously. Whatever is in the aoli pairs perfectly. 2. Their lamb Shepherd’s pie is addictive. It’s simply amazing, and the buttery, slightly crispy edge wisps of potatoes atop the sweet and savory lamb and gravy will keep you coming back. 3. The sticky toffee dessert is a must. Always leave room for it, even if to share it with a few of your mates. It’s bloody excellent! 4. You’ll start speakin’ the Queen’s English if you hang around ‘ere. Overall, the place is fantastic. There’s always a free drink via Unilocal it seems. It used to be a free shot and now it’s a free glass of house wine. The cab is nice. I’ve been pleased with all that I have eaten here except for one item, the chicken curry. It was a bit bland and uninspired. And they took the full English breakfast off the full menu, which is disappointing. I would choose it often again if it was served all day. That said, it’s worth it to come in on a weekend to have a «trad» on a Saturday or Sunday morning. It’s fabulous. And the atmosphere is quite good as well. I chose to go here on my birthday this year, which is quite high praise for an establishment, since we Unilocal Elites get around. But Kayleigh took care of us in a way which made it special. CHEERS to Three Lions!
