I wanted a local place to grade papers and sip a cup of coffee. What a great place! Cozy chairs! A big table for meetings or larger groups. Free wifi. Delicious latte complete with beautiful latte art. All this and they give back to the community. I think I found my new grading spot. So long Starbucks.

Amazing philosophy in putting profits to charities that matter! Better yet, delicious high-quality espresso cortado and freshly brewed masala chai, each bathed in perfectly frothed hemp milk. The vegan + gluten-free pastries were the best I’ve ever had: the Nanaimo bar and peanut butter Reez bar in particular. Not overly sweet and full flavour. The baristas were so helpful, informative, and all around full of good vibes! Extra bonus: great seats for work/study with a never-ending power strip full of outlets along the bar table wall. A new favourite spot for me to work if I’m ever in the area.

The many times I drove by this place on Aurora Ave, I have always wanted to come in and try it out. The only thing that would deter me would be the transients/recovery center patients hanging outside of this place. I thought, «oh no, another hangout place on Aurora Ave» Well they say, «don’t judge a book by its cover,» and One Cup definitely nails that! Walking in, One Cup is spacious, clean and has a wooden/modern type feel to it. There are ample tables and chairs to sit, relax and/or work/study. If you want to have a conversation, this is your place, not too loud, so you can speak at a normal tone and not too quiet so the whole damn café can eavesdrop. Coffee is AWESOME! Well balanced and tasty! I had a cappuccino which was wonderful, while my GF had a vanilla latte, which gigantic and not too sweet! Another plus, they roast their OWNBEANS, so they have control of their quality. It really shows in the taste and flavor. We also opted for the sausage w/English muffin, but was more like a ciabatta bread(better)! Also, an interesting mix of people, everyone is doing their own thing and minding their own business! A true smörgåsbord of people! I like this place a lot and it will be my new local coffee shop!

I adore this place!!! This, along with Miir in Wallingford, may become my go-to cafes. 1. Atmosphere: hip, spacious, clean, bright, cozy, warm and toasty in the winter, lots of nooks and crannies including cozy couches and lounge chairs as well as long tables and tables for two. Perfect for the reader, the worker, and the meetup :) not too loud or quiet. Just right. Friendly baristas. 2. The goods: Great coffee and tea(oolong pomegranate hello!) And delicious selection of snacks such as the amazing coconut chocolate chip cookies. Loooove all the different coffee, mugs, brew toys, and other unique and really cute items for sale. 3. Supports a great cause. Best reason. If you’re going to go to a café anyways might as well put your money towards something good! Generously supports World Vision an amazing organization. I appreciate a company with a PURPOSE! Go here. I promise you will not regret it… and you will make the world a little of a better place :)

I love the inside ambiance, especially because its Christmas season! I came when it was raining heavily and they had a live performance going on with someone on the keyboard playing Christmas songs and it felt so cozy. Perfect place for people watching as well because they have individual seatings right by the window. Regarding their coffee, its not bad but its not extraordinary. My friend bought my cup of capp so I can’t complain. I love LOVE how they partner with a local organization and give a portion of their sales.

What a pleasant surprise here on Aurora. Wasn’t looking forward to spending two hours waiting for my car to be repaired at the KIA across the street, but sitting here with an expertly crafted machiatto in a spacious, warm and comfortable coffee shop after having a nice conversation with a friendly and knowledgeable barista. They have a good selection of coffee, a variety of brewing methods available, and a decent selection of locally sourced baked goods and sandwiches. Not to mention a friendly and diverse customer base which makes for good people watching /chats. My only complaint would be about the music, which I realize is subjective so I won’t go into detail about that.

I really like it here. It has everything that a good café should. Good espresso, chill vibe and ambiance, big tables, lots of outlets, lots of room, and friendly baristas. I got their macchiato which was delicious and cheap!($ 2.50) They seem to try to use local ingredients as well which is a plus. It’s tied with a local church which is also pretty rad. I noticed that on the screen they donate each month to a different organization. Love the ethical value they stand on. Will return for some bomb coffee!

Best coffee in Shoreline! Sunday is nice because the methadone clinic next door is closed. I wish they always had gluten free burritos. They are out more often than not.

What makes this place great is what it has done for the building they are in and the fact they give back to the community. There is an open workspace and a small coffee shop feel. What is not so great though is being that they are a coffee shop owned or largely a part of a church– there prices are right up there with Starbucks — does not seem like a model that is geared towards truly serving those in need or being a community service staple. Would love to see this place offer more in terms of smaller lunch items that are not ultra luxury catering type items and lower prices.

The coffee is great and the people are very nice. The atmosphere of the shop is a lot of fun as well! I have a coffee background and consider myself very picky when it comes to coffee and the way a coffee shop/house should operate. These guys do it right!

YESSSSSS — all coffee joints take notice of One Cup please. All the essentials of what makes a good coffee place, but without the pretentiousness, hipsterisms and attitude-y baristas. The space here is awesome, spacious and clean. The baristas(Hector and Rachel) are so friendly — taking time to explain One Cup’s mission statement, introducing themselves to me(and asking me who I am) and also making sure my drinks were explained well(and made well). I mean, come on!!! The pastries are also fresh and ample. I just can’t speak enough praise.

I moved here about a year and a half ago and shoreline was a comfortable coffee shop desert! One cup has been a dream come true for people that live in north Seattle! Most comfy café I’ve visited and it is extremely clean with awesome staff! I got a Molly’s lumberjack sandwich and a cortado and they were both prepared perfectly! Ya they are giving back and doing awesome things but I would probably still come here even if they were evil…

The best part about this place is the inside and the way it is set up. It’s a really comfortable, very clean, fun place to hang out. There are big tables for groups, small tables for couples, and comfy chairs just to sit and relax in. While waiting for our car to be finished we walked from Kia next door to this coffee shop. At first we were not sure what we would find since it’s right next door to the methadone clinic and sometimes you see some interesting characters in that area. Turns out it’s a really nice place to hang out. My husband and I ordered some smoothies and a breakfast sandwich and grabbed a game and spent 1.5 hours quite happily occupied. I wasn’t impressed with the breakfast sandwich though. The bacon was undercooked and too fatty. I had to take it off because it did not taste good. Service was ok, a little slow though. I don’t know if I would stop by again, unless I’m at Kia again and need a place to wait. It’s worth checking out though and a good place to meet up with some friends.

My boyfriend and I live really close to this coffee house and we love popping in there on weekends. The coffee is great, the décor is nice and the food is good too. I love that the profits go to a good cause and I love the suspended coffee board where you can buy a coffee for someone in need. Great place! They have a little kids corner with toys, a kids table and seats for parents at the entrance to the little play corner so it would be nice a safe. I can’t wait to take my best friend and her daughter in there for coffee sometime.

This is a pretty nice coffee shop — especially for the part of town it’s in. The folks here were really pleasant and helpful, and I thought the coffee and food was really good. I’ll be back!

I drove by this place everyday taking my son to school, so when I saw a $ 20 for $ 10 Groupon for their coffee, I decided to grab one. The coffee shop itself is beautiful, bright and have beautiful tables, and I like their caring for social justice and global missions. The coffee — I ordered 12oz latte(double shot) every time, although was milder than some places I’ve been, I really love that their coffee is not bitter and has a sweeter taste. I also really love the scones — much better in taste & texture compared to Starbucks, and is not overly sweet — which is very important to me. A couple of things I’d say could be better is the comfort of the seating areas — I feel it could be improved by adding more small tables around those lower cushy chairs for sitting our drinks, purses and maybe books on. I normally like a warmer feeling of a coffee shop, and it feels like they could use some more artwork on the walls as well. Another point taken off because they do not offer drive-thru, even though they have the space to do so. It might be a good idea to add that as one of the features down the road, for sure you’d attract more parents with young children to come by, without having to park and get all the kids off the car. ;-) Overall, I really like this place. Definitely a place to go if you are looking for a coffee shop to meet up with friends in Shoreline.

Came in this morning for the first time. I already feel better about my day & where my life is headed. All it took is a couple friendly people working behind the counter asking how I was & really listening for the answer & their willingness to share a little about themselves. They are helping change the world One Cup At a time!!! Great atmosphere. Sun is shining today! Very open & welcoming environment.
