This place is absolutely horrid! Do yourselves a favor and head to Burger King. Pre packaged, over cooked garbage. Took one bite of the Tony’s famous sausage hoagie, sent that dog food back! SHAMEONYOU!!! My wife got salmon, fresh from the freezer. Looked like my cat squeezed it out on her plate. I work hard for my money, I’ll be damned if you get screwed too. Skip this dump!

We love hopping in the boat and heading over to The Landing for a weekend lunch or dinner. The dock is teaming with people to help you secure your boat and the wait staff is always there to get you an ice cold beer. The wings are fantastic, golden and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend this oasis, come as you are!

We love this restaurant! We always bring guests here when they visit and it’s always a hit. We arrive by boat and if there are no slips available you just anchor your boat and the tiki boat will come out and get you. It has a great casual fun atmosphere that is unique to the Landing with the attached motel. We have always had wonderful waiters and waitresses but here lately we’ve had Sanders cause he has the big table in back and were always a big group and he is really fantastic. We always start with fried pickles. The ribs, fish tacos and burgers are great. The Big Kahuna(cod) sandwich also very good. They only have one dessert and it’s the best chocolate cake you’ll ever eat. Don’t come here expecting a fancy food and tablecloth atmosphere, it’s just a good, relaxing, fun place with casual but good tasting food and nice southern people.

After the Blue parrot fiasco we drove a few miles down 150 to the landing, our 1st time here. Dont get put off with the motel, its an amazing family friendly place on lkn. They deliver to your boat if you dont have a slip to park for $ 3. The food is beachy typical reminded me of Daytona. They have a second bar area and a kids play area ummmm cant get better than that. This is the locals place for beers and fried shrimp. There is an arcade inside that my kids had to use. All in all we will be back!

I’ll start with the most positive aspect-it’s right on the lake and you can pull your boat up to the dock and disembark, eat, then get back out on the water. That’s basically where the positivity ends. I dined here twice in one day-not by choice this was a family vacation experience and oh was it quite the experience but I digress… anyways for our lunch visit we had a miserable older woman as our server. She never could crack a smile and seemed annoyed we were there, even though we were the only table outside. When it came to drinks, I was the only one who decided to order a beer. All the taps were local beers, however, they were out of the first two I wanted(both IPAs) so-I guess one more positive-the server said I could have my beer for free. I chose a blue moon imposter-Hornet’s Nest-which was satisfactory. For meals, my uncle ordered the chicken quesadilla and said he could make a better one at home, my mom chose the salmon tacos which were VERY overcooked, I chose the shrimp cocktail which is pretty impossible to mess up but for $ 8.99, I should get more than 6 measly shrimp and a dollop of cocktail sauce. My dad and his friend got burgers and didn’t care for them either. Our server never checked back on us either to ask how everything was tasting. Dinner…the server, a younger female, was MUCH friendlier than the previous server although not very attentive. We were a party of 14 broken up into a few different tables. It was Shag night and was quite crowded even for a Wednesday night. I started with a jack and coke and finished it pretty quickly and my drink sat empty for at least 15 minutes. Due to the earlier experience in the day, I chose a grilled chicken salad for dinner since, again, it’s hard to mess up. It was ok-basic iceberg lettuce, not much chicken, no cheese on it, a couple of cukes and tomatoes, and a dollop of ranch on the side. I could never flag down the server to ask for more dressing so i gave up. My dad ordered the blackened salmon and said it, like my mom’s salmon earlier, was WAY overcooked. My mom and her friend did enjoy the beer battered cod but my mom said her hush puppies were flavorless and all breading. If you’re starving and happen to be nearby, you could give it a shot but I’d suggest the Blue Parrot Grill instead.

Very friendly staff(especially Anna) and good consistent food. Fun place for locals and boaters summertime and winter! Pizza is great although we have also started ordering the fajitas and splitting it as it’s easily enough for 2. Not only is the staff friendly but we always seem to meet up with others and have a very interesting evening. One of our favorite places on the lake to go! They also have«swing“dancing groups during the week which is fun to watch and very family friendly for all age groups. Love the clientele that is attracted to this place and the food is always good no matter what is ordered or how busy they are. Same with staff — always friendly!

Not good at all! The salmon and the shrimp were over cooked to desiccation. The vegetables were obviously frozen and soggy. The baked potatoes were hard. The rice pilaf was cold. All in all, awful.

It looks mad sketch to say the least. The front is a roadside motel and you have to go to the back and down a level to get to the tiki bar and restaurant… But don’t go too fast or you’ll miss the«big woodie» van… Despite the appearance, everyone has been very nice and the atmosphere is perfect for a summer day and … They have vintage arcade games. A strange but okay find! Three stars for the fried pickles.

We have been here 3 – 4 times… the food is generally good… not great & can be inconstant. Most of the apps are good, pizza is okay, ribs can be awesome, but we have gotten them really dry. I would give a 4, but the service is bad. Expect it to take at least 20 mins for a server to bring a menu & the service continues that way the whole time. A few of the girls are friendly, but a lot of them just seem angry to be there.

Definitely coming back to this place. First off, they have the original Ms. Pac Man /Galaga game arcade edition in the restaurant. Who wouldn’t want to go back to a restaurant like this?! Anyways, my parents and I along with my parent’s business partner and his wife stumbled in here after doing some business with one of the owners. And was it a great idea that we came here to eat! When I came here it kind of looked sketchy. On the outside facing the road was a old school looking motel and then if you drive to the lower part on the gravel there was the sign for the restaurant. Walking in was a transformation of old school to family tiki bar with heaters everywhere. One of the owners we worked with suggested us the few items that they were proud of. One was definitely the pizza. They had an oven that makes the pizza that was, I believe I heard right, 140 years old… That in itself deserved an order. The meatballs were hand made as well, using their grandfather’s recipe. And finally he suggested to get the baby back ribs. We first got a couple of drinks. It was a full bar, but keep in mind the beers weren’t that of a custom type of variety. They had more alcoholic beverages than beer types. But, I went with a safe choice and got some blue moon. And at $ 10 a pitcher, not a bad price. Next came appetizers. For this we got some fried pickles and some quesadillas. Fried pickles were great. Not breaded so it covered the whole pickle, but just enough for some flavor. It also came with ranch. The quesadillas wasn’t bad either, coming with sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, and salsa. Then we went onto the main course. So I said that pizza was looking into, so I definitely ordered a 14′ landing supreme, which was about $ 14. And it was awesome and tasty! It wasn’t tasty so that definitely got my vote. The taste was full and well made. The crust wasn’t too big but big enough to finish it. My second main dish for the group were their baby back ribs. Oh, they do the ribs right. That meat just falls off the bone, and boy do they taste good! It already comes with sauce on it so no need to put on anything extra. Their Mac and cheese and onion rings on the side wasn’t bad either! I enjoyed both the sides and the ribs. If I had to suggest any of their dishes these would be the first one I would suggest to get. The ribs for a full rack was about $ 16, $ 8 for a half with two sides. Next time I’m going to try their family recipe and get their meatballs. But until then, I believe I found a place to come back to and drink while playing Galaga and Mrs. Pacman.

What a great find! Jam packed with local flavor, and on Lake Norman, accessible by boat. So awesome. I came as a guest of a Lake resident. We came by boat. The fact that you can take a boat to dinner just adds to the whole experience. So cool. But it doesn’t end there. The service was excellent as well. Incredibly friendly folks here. And the food was delicious as well. I had some of the best fall-off-the-bone ribs I’ve ever had. Tasty, lean, and tender with a great sauce. So yummy! Can’t wait to go back…

We ventured by boat to The Landing Restaurant from the southend of the lake and it was certainly worth it! I give four stars simply based on its genre. I’ve had far better food but for what they aim for, they excel. It’s a great dive off of Slanting Bridge Road, but what makes this special is that it’s accessible by water. If the dock is full, you can drop anchor and they have a tiki barge that will come get you and take you back! The Fried Pickles were great, the Chips were just your basic bagged chip and salsa, the Salmon and Shrimp were good and the Ribs were the star. You couldn’t find a bit of fat on these. They were grilled perfectly. The sauce needs work but I would bet you couldn’t find better ribs on the lake. If you want something relaxed, beachy feel, good food and good prices, give it a shot. Someone in your party will need to get the ribs.

Fun place to good by boat or by car. Good food, the ribs are great. Fun atmosphere and a good place to take your kids. They get very busy in the summer so sometimes you have to plan on it taking a little while but I think it is worth it.
