Texas Roadhouse

LOUD Music, had to ask my server to speak louder so that I could hear her. Food was dry like it had gone dead in the window. Vegetables were still raw and had not been steamed properly. Sweet potato and chili was excellent. Server was attentive. Cook needs help!!!

Haven’t had a bad steak. It is noisy, but that is the atmosphere with loud country music. Almost like eating at a dance bar.

This place was okay. It had good and bad qualities. I ordered a steak medium rare and it came out medium. My son had a steak off the ranger (kids) menu that was cooked medium rare. So I traded him. I was fine with that. Out waiter was very friendly just not aware of what was going on. He took my husbands plate before he finished and while I had a full baked potato on my plate with fork and knife in hand he asked me if I was finished. He asked in a very nice clueless sort of way. The place was very loud but I think that’s the ambience that there going for. All in all the food was pretty good and the service was kinda annoying but he at least tried. The dinner rolls and sweet butter were fabulous! Our food actually came out quickly too. Ordered fried pickles and they were there after I finished my first dinner roll.

The wait staff is friendly. The food is good and you can’t go wrong with any of the steaks. If you visit the bar, the staff changes nightly so your experience can as well. In while the bartenders are friendly and all do a decent job. Don’t be surprised if a member of the management comes to check on you and make sure everything is going great. You can also watch tv from almost any seat in the house.

Love this place! We travel all over America and it does not matter where we go we try to find a Texas Roadhouse, every one is exactly the same food quality, which is best steaks ever!

We arrived before 6:00. Made our order for a salad with a rare steak and a burger. After 45 mins we asked about it and they brought us our meal which had been sitting for so long it was cold and soggy and the bloody steak was congealed and the croutons were mush. The manager took over 15mins to speak to us then made us pay for our drinks 2 beer and a margarita not even nothing to understand they wasted an hour of our life for over priced drinks. The manager tonight btw was a jerk. Thanks jerk!!! Have a happy holiday.

We eat here all of the TIME. it is consistently consistent cold salads steaks are fantastic and a great value. The wait and bar staff are great. COLDEST BEER IN TOWN. or anywhere for that matter. Wednesday deal is hard to beat 11 oz sirloin tat tastes like prime rib/​Filet w/​2 sides for $ 10.95 why cook at home with deals like that! so go to the GOLDEN Buffet place for Steak or the over priced place from Australia or something out there! i prefer Texas Roadhouse

We were on our way to Tulsa and decided to get some dinner. We are more local fare than chains but this TR was really good. The service was on the very good side, friendly and helpful.
Relaxed atmosphere and the food was serven hot and tasty. We will return if we are in the area.

I love this place, i have tried all american burger and it was awesome. also the steaks are good and juicy… i loved the hot bread before main curse with butter :)

Had dallas cut steak was the worst cut of steak I’ve had in a long time Luke warm relly tough. Gravy on mashed potatoes was congealed. Those awsome buns I look forward to were cold :(.Not one check up on by waitress. On the plus side corn was very buttery and good and beer was ice cold .will give them another chance later because this chain is usually very good.

Very disappointed. Unilocal said restaurant closed at 11:00. We arrived at 9:58 and were seated and thought nothing of the time. Ordered appetizer and after waiting for 22 minutes, our salads came out. We asked server about appetizer and she said «were working on it but you came in at closing». Then the manager came over a few minutes later and said the cooks had already turned off the oil and it’d take too long to heat it back up and we could have a coupon for a free appetizer next time we come back and that she was going to take the charge for the appetizer off of our ticket (I should hope so since we didn’t get it). She then said they were still working on trying to get our meal cooked. Seriously? No mention of anything for 22 minutes and then that? She made no effort to offer us anything in replace of the appetizer, no additional bread rolls or even a desert. Then, just as our steaks came out, the lights turned up brighter and someone starting sweeping right beside our table and you could see the debris coming in the direction of our food. We asked for him not to sweep next to us so he turned around and continued sweeping just in the other direction. Ugh! My husband asked for extra brown gravy for his mashed potatoes and then was told he couldn’t have any because they had already thrown the gravy out within a minute of finally getting our food. It was a nightmare of an experience. There was another server sitting two tables down from us filling salt containers sneezing repeatedly while we were trying to eat. Not satisfied at all with the lack of communication from management or server until we had already been waiting over 20 minutes and not happy that something as simple as desert wasn’t even offered because we were going to order that as well. Now we’re on our way to Braums for a desert.

This organization never disappoints visit many different locations across the country and always have it really good service and the food is always the same have a recommend anybody traveling is a good place to eat

I’ve been here a few times during my stay in Sherman and the service has always been great. The food is another story, the cuts of meat are pretty good but there is so much salt in every dish that it makes it inedible! I will say, I had a delicious salmon steak here one night but I have yet to find a decent salad in this town.

I ordered the Dallas Filet, my wife ordered the BBQ chicken. The lettuce in the salad looked old. My vegetables were way over cooked. The steak was ok, the chicken had BBQ sauce on it, it wasn’t «BBQ’d» in any way… on a positive note, the service was good & they have local beer. 903 is the BEST!

Service was great. Pleasant, quick and with a smile. Atmosphere was excellent. Plenty of tv’s near the bar and plenty of staff to accommodate your needs. The restaurant was not to loud nor routy. Perfect for a family meal or to grab a cold one.
I myself ordered the «Country Fried Steak» with mashed potatoes. The potatoes were amazing. but the county fried steak was quite *salty*. My boyfriend ordered «Road Kill». It was chopped steak with mushroom onions and cheese. He had no complaints stating he even enjoyed the sweet tea. (Again, he’s picky on his sweet tea!!).

Went last night and left after kitchen employee left restroom without washing his hands. I won’t be back as I may never get over that. Only one star because I couldn’t write the review with no stars.

Food was good, service was bad.
The service was quick to make a hiccup. Upon getting our drinks it took another 10 minutes later to get our straws. Had this been the only flaw, we could have easily overlooked this. However, that was not the case.
Upon ordering we ordered sweet potato fries as a side and a cup of chili that was to arrive with the appetizer. But the chili never arrived with the appetizer. Did it arrive with the main course? No. Did it arrive at all? No.
Chili-​less, my girlfriend and I turned in horror as our main course arrived. Instead of sweet potato fries we were met with, instead, a sweet potato AND fries. Although we later found out sweet potato fries were not actually on the menu, it still amazes me that sweet-​potato-​fries (said uniformly at the same time) turned out to mean I want a baked sweet potato and French fries.
Was it the end of our bad service adventure? Absolutely not. As the meal came to an end we were asked if we wanted a box, although our main course had no more than 3 strands of pulled pork and half a piece of Texas toast, we still had half a basket of fried pickles and 5 of their free rolls sitting infront of us. So we tell our more-​disappointing-​than-​sour-​milk waitress that we indeed wanted a box. To that she said, «okay, let me get this out of the way for you» and grabs the rolls and pickles. I look at my girlfriend who is convinced that she was going to throw them away, but I insist on the very very basic common sense of our waitress and assume she was packing the food for us. Turns out I was wrong. She comes back with a massive empty to-​go box and i look down at the meager scraps on our main plate that our waitress thought we wanted «to-​go». I just wonder what did we do to deserve this and why the waitress would ever think we would want to pack these scraps.
Eager to leave, we get our bill and put our half eaten slice of Texas toast into the to go box (which doesn’t even increase the weight of the to go box by a measurable amount). As the bill arrivals, Lo and behold, a cup of chili is on the bill. Refusing to pay for a hypothetical cup of chili, more myth than reality, we are given the fried pickles (which due to our waitress was now sitting at the bottom of a trash can) for free BUT the cup of chili remained on the bill. Despite the 2 dollar savings, I was still defeated by the fact that, on paper, I still paid for a mythical cup of chili.
We were very curious why our service was so horrendous. Did we do something wrong? Was it that, as an interracial asian/​latina couple, we were discriminated against amongst the all-​white clientele? Had we come at a poor time? Whatever the reason, unless you’re coming for the bread and only the bread, avoid this location at any cost.

The steaks were cooked perfectly! I was impressed with the service, thank you Craig. I beleive that roadhouse has one of the best sirloin steaks in the whole area. I typically avoid the salads, though, as I prefer vinaigrette that are not offered by the chain. Once again, great service!

Love this place. Menu needs updating. Steaks are always good. The restaurant is smoke free which is very nice! Please bring Deanna back to the bar! She is always pleasant and very attentive! Constantly cleaning, stocking, and taking care of her customers! We miss her!
