I absolutely love this place! Family owned and friendly service! The food is so good! Pizza, pasta, wings, even the burgers are good! Every time I am in the area I stop in for a bite!

I absolutely loved the calzones and BBQ wings I had at this place. The crust wasn’t too greasy and not too dry it was perfect and so was the customer service. I will absolutely be back for more.

Best New York Style pizza in Los Angeles? No! Not even close. Yes, the crust is thin and crispy. Yes, they sell by the slice. Yes, the slices are of generous proportions. But the ingredients and toppings are clearly not top rate. Now I’ve heard it said that pizza is like sex — even when it’s bad, it’s still pretty good. Venice Pizza might be the poster child for that sentiment. Even though the pizza wasn’t great, I found myself strangely enjoying it. Maybe I was hungry, but I could look past the dehydrated mushrooms and fatty, cheap sausage. It still tastes pretty good. Not 5-star good but not bad for a neighborhood pizza joint in a strip mall. Parking is challenging as you have to compete with traffic from the drive-through smoke shop in the lot. But if you’re hungry and just want a slice or 2 — and you find yourself in the area — this place doesn’t suck. Not exactly a glowing review but I’ve had worse pizza!

Yes I just ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and side order of meatballs. All came too 17.99. Let me tell you. No worth it. The meatballs were small and the pizza was small. Not worth it. Not ordering from here again.

Decent cheap large takeout pizza for under 10 $. It’s so thin that one person can finish a large but overall it’s a ok for a quick neighborhood grab. Wouldn’t pay 15 $ for it delivered but fine to pickup

Worst pizza I’ve ever had. First time dough was raw inside. Second time pizza was burned, they don’t speak English and were kinda rude. Never again.

Very good pizza. Thin and crispy. I will definitely continuing coming here and will probably buy large orders for parties etc. It was very good. Tasty and fresh. They are also very polite and helpful. I’ve also tried the eggplant parm and moserrela sticks. Both were excellent and freshly made to order.

Been coming here for awhile. While the pizza isn’t great, it’s not the worst thing either, and I’m able to get pizza by the slice while I’m at it too, which is rare in LA. This is also one of those places that gives you grief for using a debit card which knocked my review down a bit. Listen, if you don’t want people paying with debit, then put a sign up saying«Cash Only».

Normally I don’t write reviews on Unilocal but seeing as there negative feedback about this place, here is my rebuttal… I have enjoyed their pizza for the past few months and I have to say the quality is good for the price you are paying. They also have summer specials and other kinds of special which really makes this place affordable. I have had pizza nearby and none are as good as Venice Pizza for the price you’re paying. My usual there is a pineapple, ham and bacon pizza which altogether for a large is less than 10 bucks. Dominoes doesn’t even compare… Local pizza is the way to go!

THEBESTTHINCRUSTPIZZA, YUMDELICIOUS. Crust-thin and hand crafted not perfectly round, which is refreshing, fresh ingredients, very tasty. Cheese — Good, could have used just a touch more, but it was good mozzarella. The Pizza was good even day after cold out of refrigerator. The staff is way friendly. My new favorite place, I’ll be coming back for sure.

I have to agree with Jonas A. Sorry, Tracey M, I’m an Italian girl from Brooklyn, too, but this is a far cry from the Bklyn pizza I was raised on. It was better than chain pizza, but not by much. Very little cheese, ok crust but a bit too thick. I won’t be coming back.

We ordered a large sausage, pepperoni, & extra cheese pizza just now and when it came all the topping had slipped off, we tried to «salvage» the pizza but could not. We called nervous because we didn’t want to be a bother but when we did call they were VERY nice and immediately wanted to compensate us with a fresh pizza that came in less than 20 minutes, the delivery guy was very, very kind and apologetic and they told us that our satisfaction is most important. They were awesome and I highly recommend them not only for their customer service but for their pricing. Also, it doesn’t hurt that the chicken wings are by far the best we’ve ever eaten and the pizza was delicious as well and they even gave a courtesy call to make sure this pizza was perfect. I’m honestly very surprised from such great customer service from a pizza place! Everything was very much appreciated and hopefully this will be enough in return for them! :) order from here!

The new sign says Venice Pizza, «Best NY Style Pizza in LA». I decided to try a small cheese pizza. It was extremely disappointing. The dough was under-fermented and under-cooked in a conveyor oven. The uncooked«gum line» in the dough was gross. American style pizza can be baked in conveyor ovens, along the lines of Papa John’s or Dominoes, but you can’t make a real NY-style pizza in it. You have to use a deck oven(or a coal oven) running at 600 degrees or more and a bake time of about 5 minutes. So from a baking persoective the«NY Pizza» label is incorrect and misleading. That would be forgiveable if the pizza was simply«good». The sign inside makes mention of «different» cheese(???) and«carefully seasoned» tomato sauce, as if it’s SO hard to add some oregano and garlic to a can of crushed tomatoes. Hopefully they have enough passion about the quality of their food to change their dough formulation to match their baking equipment and to stop the ineffective marketing that has no bearing on reality.
